One star. I run a business and paid MCM UK Media for an appointment card advertising campaign at a local GP surgery. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise other small business owners to think twice before signing up.
Here’s what happened: a verbal agreement was made over the phone about the format of the advert, which was not what was actually delivered. When I raised this, I was told the company doesn’t record complaint calls only the original booking call despite my Subject Access Request for that recording still not being fulfilled weeks later.
I visited the GP surgery in person on more than one occasion to check whether the appointment cards were actually being displayed. They were not, and reception staff had no awareness of them. So I was paying for distribution that, as far as I could verify, wasn’t happening.
When I raised a formal complaint, the response was to dispute my account of the call, decline a refund, and rely on the fact that no results are contractually guaranteed which sidesteps the actual issue: the product wasn’t being displayed at all.
If you’re a small business considering this, I’d recommend asking for written confirmation of every commitment before paying anything, and independently checking that your material is actually being distributed where you’re told it will be. I wish I had.

I'm afraid our experience has been similar to some of the other 1 star reviews. We had a few designs created initially (I doubt more than 10 minutes worth of AI work) and then invoice sent very early on for the full 2 years. When I started to doubt the authenticity of the service I decided to contact the GP practice directly. I then received an email from the GP Practice concerned confirming that they do not work with this company. I subsequently informed MCMUK we do not wish to go ahead. I have since had invoice after invoice with rising fees telling me we are not able to cancel now and there has been no attempt to prove their service is genuine apart from telling me that it is. They expect full payment up front and apparently have a 12month cancellation notice period - absolutely ridiculous!

I recently worked with MCM and the whole process was a positive experience. The team were professional and clearly knowledgeable about what they do. Communication was smooth after I signed up and they were responsive throughout, they took the time to understand exactly what I needed rather than offering a one-size-fits-all approach.

The quality of the booklet was excellent and matched the expectations we discussed at the beginning. My business has received various referrals as a result of my company being in the booklet,
I would not hesitate to continue working with them in the future.

It genuinely is not worth paying for.
Been with MCM for 2 years and whilst we have not had any problems with communication, the issue is with the product.
We paid over £2000 to have our advert on an appointment card for 2 years (our choosing).
The issue is, the surgery do not issue out appointment cards! They have 100's of them sat in the back storeroom and they throw the new arrivals in the bin.
We have physically been to the surgery to do some after market research to discover this.
To make the process viable to spend on, the practices have to hand out the cards and unfortunately MCM are not in control of this.
Theory is good, but in practice, it does not work. Throwing money away for most businesses.

I get reminders to order more appointments cards. The process to order is very easy. Would recommend.

They have been providing us with our appointment cards for a few years now and we are always happy with their service. They always remind us to order which is often forgotten by us. The appointment cards are also very good quality.
