The great part is how quickly the order arrived. A HUGE improvement from other recent orders. And the ginger jar was not damaged apron arrival. The only slight disappointment is the actual color of the ginger jar. It appears much darker in print and on line. My particular one is white, not even cream. I am trying to lean warmer since I always purchase cream/white! I still like it and will enjoy using it.

Items never shipped despite multiple emails that they had. Had to contact customer service multiple times across all of their channels to get a response. Was eventually refunded but took forever and very disappointed at the excuses this company made as to why my order hadn’t shipped several weeks after placing.

As you read through each of the replies to the reviews over the past two years you get the impression that McGee and Co have been sincere about improving their shipping process and customer service interactions however, all of the comments about poor customer service and shipping are still accurate. Nothing has changed. I wish I would have read through the reviews before we ordered a piece of furniture because everything that is described in these reviews happened to us. To be fair, I will complement Gabby, manager in customer service for finally resolving the issues and refunding our shipping charges for the extreme delay. She finally made arrangements for our item to be delivered locally from their warehouse after learning that our order was lost. McGee and Co is located in Salt Lake City so you would think they could figure out how to deliver an order locally to a customer in their own city but they can’t even do that. We would never order anything again from McGee and Co.
Their shipping tracking system is worthless as it provides no real-time tracking information. They really need to overhaul their entire shipping process and consider changing their third party shipper and train their customer service agents on how to follow up with their customers in a timely manner.

I placed an order on 3/24/2023, it's now 4/16/2023 and my "in-stock" purchase still hasn't shipped despite repeatedly reaching out to customer service for updates/help.
I was assured last week by customer service that the item I bought and paid for is in stock and would ship by the end of last week however, it still hasn't.
The McGee and Co website says to allow 7-10 business days for larger items to ship - I'm currently at 16 business days for one dining bench and there's no end or help in sight. (The ordered was placed over 3 going on 4 weeks ago.)
I will not order from McGee and Co again and would suggest you avoid it as well - it's not worth the headache.
*UPDATE: 4/17/23*
I cannot replay to McGee and CO’s response below (replied 20 minutes ago) However, for future potential shoppers; McGee and Co absolutely have not been in touch with me today/even replied to my last email asking for an update which was sent the same day as my original post here. McGee and Co has not provided an update with an expected shipping date for my, again, in stock item ordered on 3/24/23. My order is still listed as “unfulfilled” and I have not heard from them at all.

Please invest in your customer service. You shouldn’t call a number and get a “the mailbox is full” message every time you call. It’s been this way for years. Email is no better. We love the furniture but this might be the worst customer service of any company we have ever dealt with. It’s 2023, invest in a chat function or hire more remote CS agents to answer calls.

Beautiful indoor/outdoor rug but outrageously overpriced for what it is. The website has beautiful items but the quality is not commensurate with the prices. Stay away or wait for a really, really good sale.

I placed an online order over the weekend when they are closed. There was a duplicate order so within 5 min I sent an email to support requesting the duplicate order # be cancelled. Monday morning when they open they emailed be saying the order can’t be cancelled because it’s already shipped. I’ve ordered multiple times from them before and it typically takes 1-2 WEEKS for an order to ship. Then looking up the order using the link provided by their CS, It clearly states the “item NOT shipped yet”, so they were lying. I provided proof of the online status and then they never responded after that. Also, you called 10X after to see if you can speak to anyone and no one answered the whole day. Their CS lies and then they don’t provide actual support.

I am an interior designer from New York. Back in September I ordered two table lamps from McGee. The order was not processed until November and I get an email almost monthly telling me the order has been delayed. I would like to know more about the status of this item and have reached out to McGee on multiple occasions by both phone and email and have received no response. This appears to be a large design studio and retail sales company however they clearly cannot handle the retail end of it. As much as I love their products I WILL NOT be ordering from them in the future. Please be wary. Maybe you can stick with the stock items there but if there is a problem which there often is then you will not be able to reach anyone!

Called to initiate a return because the website couldn’t find our order number and email address. That’s the first issue. Called at 4:40 mountain time and was put on hold for 10 minutes to look into things only to be hung up on. Called back at 4:54 (mind you says that they close at 5) and they had already turned their phones off. Interestingly enough the message says the fastest way to get in touch is to leave a voicemail, yet the voicemail is full. Making returns this difficult is not a way to win us over.

Wish I could give it zero stars. After MONTHS of delays I finally get a table in for the delivery company to say it was damaged and they had to send it back. Finally got another table delivered to my house months later with ZERO hardware. I emailed customer service who blew me off saying someone would be in touch with me to send the hardware. After getting zero communication again I emailed and they said they can’t send me the hardware (for my $4000 table) and sent me a link to Amazon on the screws and bolts I would need. Not to mention this is an extremely heavy dining room table I cannot flip over myself. Beyond shocked at how horrible this experience has been. Buyer beware!

Recently placed two orders, both placed on February 12 and arriving on February 20 and 21, which is not bad for a company that usually takes a month to ship small items. However, the shipping fees are absolutely ridiculous. Standard shipping fees are equivalent to what most other companies charge for expedited shipping. The quality has not been great with these last two orders. Ordered two of the hand braided jute trivets, one for myself and one as part of a gift. The one I kept for myself was not gift worthy as it has a “tail” of braided jute hanging off of it which I may be able to cut off or tuck in somehow, but would not have knowingly purchased with this defect. I will be returning the ceramic salt and pepper shakers that are now sold out due to the salt shaker arriving with dark splotches on it that will not wash off. Looks like a defect when they were painted and/or glazed. This is not normal pottery imperfections, but an obvious defect. I wish I could post photos. The Cabot salt and pepper shakers have a beautiful fine wood grain in the photos, but only one arrived looking like the picture. The other had a very distinctive wood grain that did not match the first one and a small nick in the wood on top. Would not have intentionally picked out a set of shakers where one looks so much different from the other, but at least in comparison to the defect in the ceramic ones, the differences in the wood grain on the Cabot shakers looks somewhat natural. I’m not loving them so I may still return. The twisted stoneware spoon feels very rough around the edges, but looks okay so I can live with it. Love the look of McGee and Co. products online, but not sure if I can continue ordering anything other than maybe linens. I’m seeing too many inconsistencies with quality.

IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with. Have an order that has been delayed one month that says shipped but is perpetually "waiting for carrier." Reached out to customer service multiple times - they do not pick up their phones, and the voicemail for the supposed customer service line is full. No response to an email sent four days ago either ....

Horrible product quality. We ordered six of the Ryne chairs - $2000. The legs started detaching within less than a year. I called customer service, and because they were beyond the 30 day return policy, they wouldn’t stand behind their product. My husband is a woodworker and attempted to repair the chairs. Unfortunately they are constructed in a way that doesn’t allow for a repair solution. We also spent $1000 on bar stools that are starting to fall apart. Final complaint: the Emory dining table is laminate - not solid white oak. Buyer beware!

Wow! I wished I would have read these reviews before I ordered! The website was so beautifully laid out? Shea is so smart in her design? Appears to love what she does, why would I have questioned ordering? I feel deceived and mislead. Like all the above, I join them in their regrets. Please don’t be fooled into ordering from this company. Shea, you should probably stick to design.
This has been a painful experience! Customer service just repeat the same “auto reply” when I inquire about my order. One word! 🛑 STOP perpetuating! I do not recommend this company. Please refund me my money
