What has happened to McCain oven chips. My favourite frozen oven chips now taste like cardboard. Utterly disgusting. I now have to find another manufacturer as I won’t be stocking my freezer with McCain oven chips any time soon.

This review pertains to the Plover, Appetizer plant. (Not the potato plant on 54 on way to Rapids.)

Usually use normal oven chips in my air fryer but bought these as they were on offer. Cooked according to instructions. They were dry, had no flavour even with salt on them they were disgusting. Going straight in the bin. My advice - don't bother, even if on offer. Gimmick & a waste of money.

Bought a bag of crinkle cut fries, I certainly wouldn't call these fries, more like tiny end cuts, more than half the bag was bits and pieces. Never again, Walmart brand fries are way better, actual whole fries not floor sweepings.

I bought McCain's air fryer chips they were half price in Tesco I found them to be awful absolutely horrible in comparison to the oven fries I usually buy in Lidl.

You chip are sticking together .thay should all be lose and read to go .this is a problem.

Bought Mccain crispy French Fries and after eating some we were both ill. We put the rest out for our friendly seagulls who normally eat anything but after one mouthful they left the rest

Quality is inconsistent and laughable. McCains diced hashbrowns are a joke. They should be called potato niblets because they look like crumbs from a chip bag. They're so small they fall through the grates of an airfryer and are only edible by scooping them up with a spoon because they're so small. They just taste like crunch. So sad considering they're the only thing the grocery store seems to sell nowadays.

I have stopped buying McCains fries. I was fed up with loads of black and green colour on the ends of the fries. I had to break it all off. Then I found out it was mould which I did have my suspicions about. I understand a lot had been recalled. I won't bebuying them again.

Mum had a mccains beef and veg meal , was nearly all veg,and the meat was tuff as a tractor tyre . Disgusting . You gotta be joking..never trusting mccains products again.

Tasteless food. They are making fools.
They are spreading disease in people. Don't purchase this food item.

Bought the McCains frozen Lamb Roast dinner and it was disgusting, the lamb is not real lamb roast meat like you see in the picture on the box, it's 2 slices of round process meat, which is awful very artificial, years ago it was real lamb, and you get half a dozen small bits of potato and a gallon of peas, a waste of money, certainly cutting costs

Je comprends pas, quand j'étais ado, je mangeais des pizza pochet deluxe. On pouvais apercevoir du peperroni, maintenant ce n'est pu le cas. Beaucoup, beaucoup de pâte à pizza. Pourquoi faire bon quand on peut faire mauvais.... Vive l'an 2000....

Disgusting fries. Don’t know what happened but quality gone down.

I used to call them the best chips the money can buy, btw the air fryer fries are purely disgusting.

Standard fries? Half of them are moldy, taste is average. Will not buy them again

The new fridge fries are much better than McDonald’s! Fresh crispy and fluffy on the inside! 1 bag is 2 good portions. Will buy again 💯

McCain air fryer chips are honestly taste less and plain weird don't waste your time here just pay less and buy ordinary oven chips which may take longer (ISH) to cook but my goodness taste way better.

I've noticed the local grocers no longer carry generic tater tots.
The only thing all of them carry now is McCain tasty taters, which taste really weird, like their fries.
Walmart DOES carry generic tater tots- made in Belgium! Yay!

5 minute fries... absolutely shocking.

I’ve tried everything, giving them more time, turning them, temperature up, temperature down, and of course following the instructions.

They are awful. I have just thrown away the rest of the bag.

Just tried Mc Cain air fry 5 min, well awful tasteless absolutely 💯 😢 waist of money. Got 2 bags as cheaper, now in the bin.

Crinkle chips have gone down hill so much we have decided to stop buying them after 25 years. They have just jumped on the bandwagon of shrinkflation, by adding loads of slithers to make up bag weight and then wrap it up telling us they are trying to save the planet! that would break your teeth if you had them in the same tray as the normal size chips when cooked.
We end up throwing 25% of the bag away.
McCain, customer are easily lost and very hard to gain especilly when you have tried to cheat them.
