Marvel installed me a heat pump system around 18 months ago. Marvel sorted out all the paperwork to apply for the government grant towards it. That made it nice and straight forward and easy. The installation team truned up when they said they would, were professional, did a good job and left things clean and tidy at the end of the job. I've had a couple of minor issues since installation. Both times Marvel sent an engineer straight away to resolve without any quibbles. Overall positive experience and would definitely recommend.

I've used Marvel Heating & Renewables three times now (solar and battery in March 2024, another battery in December 2024, and an ASHP with more batteries in July 2025). You don't use a company three times unless they are doing a good job!

The good stuff:
- Great prices: Always really competitive quotes.
- Pragmatic installers: Other companies insisted on putting scaffolding up in my neighbour's garden just to get solar on the garage roof. Marvel just figured out a way to do it safely with ladders. Massive relief.
- Customer service: Spot on. Kev in particular is always quick to reply and sorts things out.

Room for improvement:
- Scheduling: They are clearly a busy company and things can get a bit chaotic behind the scenes, so we did have a few rearranged appointments.
- Planning the layout: During the ASHP install, the internal pumps were put next to the existing water cylinder, which is right by the bedrooms. I heat my water at night and the pumps are quite noisy. I really wish they'd anticipated this during the initial walkthrough and suggested putting the pumps in the utility room instead.

Overall, I'm really happy with the work and would definitely recommend them to anyone – just make sure you double-check where your pumps are going!

Upgrade from 30+ year old gravity fed boiler to Heatpump and full re-pipe.

Very happy with my decision to go with Marvel heating. I'm the type of person that does a ridiculous amount of research before the smallest of purchases.
So after my research and finally deciding on a heat pump? I knew the most important thing was to select a good installer. I was torn between Heat geeks and Marvel.
I was put off with Heat geeks reviews and cost so decided to go with Marvel.
From the start of the process to end I must say I'm very satisfied. The installers that came were fantastic too. They worked very fast? Kept their work clean and explained their work etc. We've had a lot of work done on our house in the last few months but the engineers, Morgan and Ellis were the best tradies we have had round.

Our house is now even warmer than it was before. We have instant hot water and the pumps noise is barely noticeable.

Darius installed my heat pump and did an excellent job. He was professional, punctual, and very detail-oriented. Everything was completed to a high standard and he explained everything clearly. I recommend it with confidence!

We have had an air source heat pump installed by Darius and Joe and the team and goodness do they work hard. They have changed radiators and installed a water tank in the attic and it all looks great. Tidied up and gave us advice on how to manage the settings. We are pleased we chose Marvel Heating to do the work and would certainly use them again. We recommend them.

From quote to install the experience was fast , efficient and friendly . I tested the market and I feel I got really good value for money on the amount of solar panel and battery storage capacity. The install went smoothly especially considering it was on an old Victorian house .

The whole process was thorough and well planned from start to finish

The initial visit was straightforward, with no hard sell. The sales guy gave us a ball park estimate and gave a comprehensive explanation of what was needed and how that affected the cost. He organised the independent surveyor’s visit there and then.

The independent surveyor didn't turn up on the expected day due to some communication error, but that problem was rectified immediately and he arrived the next day. We were given a full report that identified where, and why we would need replacement radiators.

Next was the technical survey. Our technician identified a couple of potential problems (hot water tank size, position of new piping etc) but worked very constructively to identify the best option to get round those. All in all, a very positive experience. Remedies didn’t change the original price quoted.

Next came the installation. Again, the installation team were positive, efficient, and due to the technician’s report, they arrived knowing exactly what they needed to do. No surprises, no delays, no issues. Everything completed (on the plumbing/installation side) in a day and a half, and the electrical work done in about 3 hours. They also made sure that the water was turned off for the minimum time, so we could still make them cups of tea.

Issues? 2. First it was made clear that the heat pump delivery would need to be made on a Sprinter-sized van, due to access. It came on a 17 tonne truck which meant the guys had to mess about getting it to the house. Apparently they often get this problem. Second, one of our original radiators had a stuck bleed valve. I’d have appreciated them taking 15 minutes to swap it out while the system was drained, as currently, it’s not bled therefore less efficient than it should be.

All in all though, the whole experience has been excellent. No surprises, no delays, and the Marvel team have been constructive, communicative and easy to deal with.

From the very beginning, Rob, the sales representative, was polite, knowledgeable, and professional. He took the time to explain everything clearly and answered all of my questions without ever being pushy. I felt fully informed and confident in the decisions being made.

Throughout the whole process, I was consulted at every stage. My opinions were genuinely listened to — especially regarding the location of the heat pump — and this made me feel involved and reassured that the system was being designed around my home and my preferences.

The installation team, Darius and Craig, were simply fantastic. They worked incredibly hard, kept everything clean and tidy, and were respectful of my home at all times. Their workmanship and attitude were first class.

There were one or two minor niggles after installation, but these were dealt with quickly and efficiently by the customer service team, which shows the company stands by its work.

Most importantly, the results have been excellent. My house is now consistently warm throughout, and it’s costing less to run than when we were using gas heating for just a few hours a day.

I would not hesitate to recommend Marvel Heating to anyone considering a heat pump. A thoroughly professional company delivering excellent service from start to finish.

Generally good, with a few issues along the way. Very friendly team. You can tell they're genuinely wanting to help you. Ours was a large job: installation of underfloor heating throughout the property plus an air source heat pump. The sales process was straightforward, informative & clear, with a sales director coming to our house to talk us through our options, explain how it works etc. This was followed by a site visit, once we'd signed up, which was undertaken by engineers who really knew their stuff. We did question whether the pump would be sufficient for our property, and Dwaine and the team insisted that it was. We have now had our first winter with the heat pump & underfloor, and it all appears to be working quite well (after a few small issues with Marvel were swift to resolve). The main negative we have found with Marvel has been communication (which they seem to have resolved since, by hiring some more manpower to head up some of the operational elements). During the course of the time we worked with Marvel, communication was a pain point, as a lot of the comms seemed to bottleneck with Dwaine, Marvel's key decision-maker - clearly a very knowledgeable and busy man. However, I understand they have recruited someone else to manage the operations in those moments where Dwaine is unavailable. Broadly, Marvel offer a good service, with some genuinely great people who work for them. With some improvements to their operational model, reducing bottlenecks, spreading accountability, they could easily be an excellent, category-leading company.

I honestly can’t thank Marvel Heating enough for such an outstanding experience installing my air source heat pump. From the very first call to customer service and initial home visit, everything felt professional, honest, and well explained, with no pressure at all.
The technical walk-through visit was incredibly thorough and reassuring, and it was clear the team really knew their stuff. The installation itself was carried out to an excellent standard — organised, efficient, and with real care taken in my home.
What really made the experience stand out though were the people. Kev in customer service was absolutely brilliant — always helpful, patient, and quick to respond whenever I called. Alex the plumber was amazing — skilled, hardworking, and just a genuinely great person to have around during the installation and wouldn’t leave until the unit was working efficiently.
After the initial fit, the heat pump needed to be moved to a different position. This could have been stressful, but the team handled it quickly and professionally, with no recrimination or fuss at all. That level of care and accountability really speaks volumes about the company.

I have been impressed with every Marvel employee involved in our air source heat pump installation, from the initial phone call and feasibility visit through to the engineers coming out to tweak our system to get it working perfectly. Our house was perhaps not the ideal property being an older house with multiple extensions, complicated pipework including some microbore, the need for a fairly long outdoor run due to having no sideway, and a large, difficult to heat open-plan downstairs living area. There has never been any hard sell from Marvel, just a very honest assessment of what they could and couldn't do. The engineers have all worked like Trojans - initially having to manually lift the ASHP up to a first floor wall location to limit the external run, and then eliminating all the 10mm pipework added by different plumbers over the years. We have had to have several follow up visits over a couple of months, but it was never suggested that we would have to put up with a system that we were not quite happy with. Having just got through a very cold spell over Christmas and New Year without the need for any back up heating, I can say that I am delighted with the all round, all day (if you need it) gentle heat provided by the ASHP.

We had the ASHP installed in September 25, but also had solar panels and two batteries installed in June 25. The batteries allow us to buy virtually all of our electricity at £0.14 kWh using the three cheap charging periods offered by the Cosy Octopus tariff. On the coldest sub-zero days, the daily cost will be for around the same as two shorter bursts of gas central heating each day plus some gas fire top up last winter. On slightly milder days, the daily cost is much less. I plan to switch to the Intelligent Octopus Flux tariff for the summer when all we do is export (all ASHP costs will be covered by the solar panels). This offers much better export rates than the Cosy tariff. I will then switch back around September when the exporting diminishes and we have to use the grid again. Overall, looking at our use against costs so far, I'm anticipating saving about two-thirds of our combined energy bill. It has all required a significant up front investment, but it will all pay for itself over time. More importantly, we get a much better 'quality' of heating throughout the day. As a recent retiree, this is perhaps the most pleasing outcome of switching to the ASHP. Many thanks to everyone at Marvel.

We couldn’t be happier with our heat pump installation and the service we received from start to finish.

From the very beginning, the office team were incredibly helpful and organised. They coordinated everything seamlessly around our builders, kept communication clear, and made what could have been a complicated process feel straightforward and well managed.

The installation crew were outstanding. In particular, the plumbing work carried out by the team (including the crew member who brought along their dog!) was genuinely a thing of beauty — neat, thoughtful, and finished to such a high standard it looked like a piece of art. The overall quality of workmanship throughout the installation was excellent.

A special mention has to go to Joe, who supported us through the commissioning of the system. His knowledge, attention to detail, and calm patience were exceptional. He took the time to answer all of our questions thoroughly, explained how everything worked in a way that actually made sense, and clearly cared about getting the system set up perfectly.

Professional, friendly, highly skilled, and a pleasure to deal with — we would absolutely recommend them to anyone considering a heat pump installation.

As for most people, moving from a gas boiler to an ASHP is something of a stretch, in terms of both the cost of the system and the number of different steps involved. Marvel were excellent here, walking me through the steps and explaining it at all stages.

Most important of all, the system works well and I am sending this from a warm house on a cold night. There was an initial glitch where part of the electrical install hadn’t been done correctly, so remedial work was done to put this right in good time.

Finally, the follow up care has been good. ASHPs run differently from gas boilers and I had a number of questions. It’s been really helpful to have an engineer telephone me and talk me through what I needed to know.

Very satisfied with the system, would recommend Marvel Heating.

Had an air heat pump fitted in November 2024 installation went ok untill a pipe leak from fitter bending my old pipe and breaking a solder joint? Fixed it next day the air pump heating works very good I was approached about a 10 year service plan working out at £850 instead of normal 1,500 pounds so took up the offer however after arranging a 12 mths service for November 25 as it's now due I've been told there short of staff so they can't service my air heat pump untill February 2026 not a happy man!!! Feel like I've been cheated out of my money payment upfront wish I had of just paid normal price and got it done 12 monthly as promised don't think my 10 year service plan will be honored as I thought

We had a Mitsibushi ASHP system installed mid-July. We met with the salesman Kevin who was extremely thorough in working through what we had and what we'd need. The resulting survey report was similarly thorough and detailed.

Marvel's contractors - Reece and Ellis - arrived at just after 08:30 each morning (Mon-Wed) as promised. They were punctual, polite and professional. They completed their work to a high standard and, barring the late delivery of the hot water tank (the supplying company's fault), everything went smoothly. Adam the electrician came Wednesday to wire everything up and then gave us a walk-through of how to use the system. He was excellent, giving a professional and clear description of the control box, thermostat and accompanying app to manage the system. He also ran us through how best to use the system and typical settings and likely adjustments. He even freely wired in a new socket for us in the space where the old boiler had been. Fabulous!

Everything was completed and commissioned professionally by the Wednesday afternoon and, more importantly, tidily despite some of the initial and ensuing mess from the work which was to be expected. The old radiators and boiler and other rubbish were removed by Marvel the following Monday.

The system has been in and running for nearly five months now, and we've never been warmer. It is very efficient and extracts heat from the surrounding air a bit like a fridge in reverse. It does require a slight mindset change from traditional heating systems as you basically set the thermostat and then just leave it to tick over. No more coming in and needing to whack on the heating because "it's a bit chilly". Also, no more in-situ burning of fossil fuels.

Overall, a great experience with Marvel with the installation, setup and commissioning of an excellent ASHP system. Thank you!
