Filthy dirty, Covid guidelines not enforced, over- priced, rarely on time.
The number of buses running a day was reduced at the beginning of the pandemic and is still not running normally. Why are there still so few buses running? Every bus is overbooked.

Arrived on time, waited in line to board for 30 minutes and was then told that the bus was overbooked and that I would have to wait for the next one (which didn't leave until more than 3 hours later). I will never use this service again.

Service overall excellent, Drivers are professionals and polite, Cashiers and Porters excellent. New reservation system a unnecessary hardship.-

My parents and I have been using Martz for over 15 years and they continue to get worse. My parents, on a Saturday, had to wait until 10pm for a bus because there weren’t any offered after 5:20pm. That is RIDICULOUS!!!
They continue to implement stupid policies (like the reservations) and increase the costs for less than stellar service. I don’t blame the drivers, I blame the company owners who don’t care about their regular customers. I will be writing reviews on ALL platforms until I see changes.
-Stop increasing the price unless you improve the service
-Do away with the convenience fees if purchased at the bus depot
-Do away with reservations. If you choose to keep them, allow them to carry over if plans change
-Add at least an 8/8:30pm bus departure from NY on Saturdays.
We need RELIABLE service.

It worked out very well. We were late leaving and arriving, I think traffic had something to do with it.

A bit too expensive; it costs as much as driving your own car, so there is no incentive on saving on that end and it takes a bit too long, but otherwise, the service is smooth and buses are much cleaner than they where in the past. The one thing that has improved due to the increase fees, is a much higher quality of riders.

The new reservation system is a pain in the neck. Would be nice if you could add a bus between 7:00p.m. and 8:30 p.m. leaving port authority.

I have been using the service for over a month now, the scheduling and schedules are pretty good. However the cleanliness of the buses can use an upgrade. They are dusty and the floors are so sticky after sitting for the 1.5 hours drive my shoes were stuck to the floor. During this time of covid and flu season I would expect better health and safety between rides. I hope this is resolved quickly.

This system is completely unfair to commuters who work (sometimes overtime) and can’t always predict what bus they can catch. So, the only option is to wait until you’re sure what bus and by then it’s often full. They say you can just cancel it but if the system doesn’t work well and is unreliable-wth?

Visiting my sister in Stroudsburg, PA from NYC, I have used Martz busses many times. While 90% of the time, they were reliable and efficient, with large comfy seats to help you enjoy the ride; a trip I took this past summer was far from pleasant! On a hot, humid 90º+ day, I boarded in NYC. The bus was packed full, and very warm and stuffy. I was very anxious to depart, thinking the AC would go on once the bus was moving. But no. A full bus of passengers and myself experienced a hot sweaty ride with no explanation for 2 hours until the first stop in Stroudsburg, PA. No AC also meant no circulating air during the time of Covid. Although I had reached my destination, I was very happy to see that they immediately put that bus out of service, and transferred everyone to another bus that was waiting. Kudos to Martz! For this reason, I give 5 stars, not 6. Maybe check that AC is working before bus leaves the terminal?

It was a terrible idea to do reservations you only did it for people who come here once in awhile or weekends we who take your bus every day for a lot of years myself for 21 years have not any problems I see you still cancel buses whenever you want now we have to figure out which to take closest to our schedule and change our reservation

I did not ride Martz tickets was purchased for family member, they were able to get to distanastion without any issues

Still having issues with booking… Sometimes it’s telling me I cannot book because the date has passed however it’s still the day that I am trying to get on it is not the next day there’s no reason why it should not let me book on the same
