Anmeldelser for Lettuce 'Little Gem'

Crisp, Sweet Hearts from Your Own Garden Crisp, sweet leaves Compact, tightly packed hearts Great for pots and smaller spaces RHS Award of Garden Merit Quick and easy to grow There's nothing quite like cutting a fresh lettuce straight from the garden, and 'Little Gem' gives you compact, tightly packed heads filled with crisp, sweet leaves. The crunchy outer leaves surround a tender heart, with plenty of flavour for such a small lettuce. Its neat size makes 'Little Gem' particularly useful when you want to get more from your growing space. Plant a row in your veg patch or raised bed, grow a few in pots near the kitchen, or tuck plants into gaps between other crops. Starting with young plants also means you can skip the seed-sowing stage and get straight on with growing. Try them on the barbecue too. Cut the hearts in half, give them a quick char and serve warm, or keep that lovely crunch and use the leaves fresh in salads, sandwiches and wraps.
