While technically this is not a scam, it is very scammy
While technically this is not a scam, what they do is very scammy. They setup a meeting with you with a premise that you've been selected to be featured in their publication. You go through 20 minutes interview where they ask you generic questions about your background. I assume that if it is slightly better than "I dropped out of high school and have been living with my mom last 40 years" - congratulations, you are qualified to be listed on their website with your biography. The kicker is that for full profile they are asking for $2000. There is cheaper service for about $1000 as well. If you don't want to pay - you will still be included (at least they claim this), but there will be no bio. They are also offering press releases and a plaque with your name as a part of $2000 service. If you don't know, you can get press release done for $10 or less. So, technically it is not a scam, since they can include you for free in their database, but without bio that is as good as having your data scraped and features on some random site with people's names.
