This is now the second time your company, along with your subsidiary, National Tool Hire - has mishandled our order. The repeated delays, untimely communication, and disorganisation have caused serious disruptions to our operations.

As a small family-run business, we rely on timely and professional service from our suppliers. Your actions have not only disrupted our project schedule but have also damaged our reputation, leading our customer to question our reliability. This is completely unacceptable.

We have documented all the issues, correspondence, and the resulting impact on our business. I will be filing formal complaints with Trading Standards, the Ombudsman, and Companies House. I will also make our experience public in all the social media and review platforms to ensure other small businesses are aware of the risks of working with your company.

Your poor handling of this situation reflects a serious lack of professionalism and business ethics. While you may be a large company, your treatment of small businesses is deeply disappointing and far below industry standards.

If you are a small business, do not use this company - They don't really care.

Can not get hold of them by phone, WhatsApp, online chat.
Gave me options at checkout that weren’t needed for the aircon unit I hired so took money not needed.

The product did not turn up and it is impossible to speak to an advisor. I must of tried 10 times to use the chat online but I got ignored!!
No payment as of yet as been taken, thank god.

very poor experience, I have not received my deposit back after 2 months of waiting. I will be instructing my solicitors. i have been on the phone for hours and don't get an answer.

I was unable to complete ID online. Your ID support emailed to ask for photo of me, passport and bank statement. I would then be directed to measly lace that had item available and if not refund. Have had no reply and was unavailable on phone. No refund. No roller.

EASY TO HIRE ON LINE AND DELIVERED ON TIME BY A FRIENDLY DRIVER

Hired some stepladders for on day collection from their Chester store. Processed it fully and received an e-mail confirmation but no collection e-mail. Don't know where the Chester store was as there was no details. Tried calling several times and couldn't get an answer. Eventually got an advisor on their live chat who said their supplier didn't have stock but they didn't even bother to let us know this. Terrible service all round in all honesty. Wouldn't use again.

Day the equipment was due I rang for an ETA to be eventually told they didn’t actually have the equipment available!
Waste of time and no customer service

Ordered for the 2nd may to 6th

Accepted my order and then my receipt was for the 6-9th may

All my patio materials have been delivered and I had to order a second set of equipment so I can complete the job

I booked a wallpaper stripper for same day delivery, paid an extra ten pounds to have it the same day only to find midway through the afternoon that there were no units available (despite the website showing on 0.2 miles away).

The only good point I will give Mammoth is the speed they refunded my payment - it was back in my account the next day

i needed to contact you to discuss a recent hire and to adjust my delivery. On line chat "we're not online right now , try later or we will email you with a response", no help at all. 6 hours later i received a Custer satisfaction survey, implying you have closed my enquiry. i tied the phone number listed on Google "unavailable". Out over £100, not been a good experience

Delivered as promised. I made a mistake on collection day but the driver was very helpful and sorted a few more days of hire for us, top service.

Cannot be trusted. Made online booking for a rotorvator and paid £5 extra for a right to cancel if not needed. Two hours later decided to cancel and phoned company and spoke to lady who accepted that I was cancelling she would deal with it Evidenced by my Skype Call Log. Then a few days later the rotorvator was delivered from a local sub-agent of a company described as National Tool Hire. NTH On calling NTH and speaking to their "Help Dept." I was told that I had not cancelled and that my money would not be returned. They denied any call from me despite my call log. They accepted that they had had a "general discussion" at some time with my wife. How cruel can you get when my wife had died 8 months before this transaction even started. So I placed my refund claim in the hands of Paypal Dispute Resolution, which NTH ignored. Paypal then refunded all my money. Excellent service from Paypal No apology from either Mammoth of NTH. NTH might be described as untrustworthy scoundrels.

Ordered a drill but they didn't have it on the day. I called which took me over an hour to get through to be told the company they use didn't have the drill and they where waiting to see if another company did.
Got a call at around 4pm to say they couldn't get the drill until 2 days later. I declined as I needed the item that day and asked for a refund, which the advisor said was fine.

I've not had any email confirmation of the cancellation and still not had my refund.

We initially had problem with the item ordered but once Ryan stepped in and dealt with our problem efficiently and professionally. Ryan is a good asset to the. O pony

The ladders were dangerous and my painter refused
to use them. The third of three lengths could not be
secured and therefore the height could not be obtained.
Fortunately I managed to hire a safe set from Jewsons
at short notice.
I do expect to be reimbursed as your ladders were not safe to use.

Wrong boom lift, too wide to gain access, lost 3 working days until a new one turned up. Boom lift and tower were supposed to be picked up on a certain day and wasn’t. Took over an hour to speak to a miserable member of staff.
Will not be using again.
