One of the worst banks you’ll ever come across for dated technology, horrendous on line banking website and customer experience, a shocking and arguably non-compliant merger between Macatawa and Wintrust customers without online access, credit and debit errors, loss of basic functionality like electronic payments for business customers. This organisation is decades behind competitor banks and operates like it’s in the dark ages.

Avoid it.

Would not recommend. While staff was polite & tried to be helpful someone dropped the ball. I found out I owed money on my husbands account & neede to correct this since I was looking to set up an account for an inheritence. I paid in cash @ a local branch but needed a letter stating the account was paid in full in order to do this. They wouldnt give it to me @ the time. It was to be mailed. 2 weeks later I called since I hadnt received it yet. It was sent to the wrong address. I gave them the correct address & was told it would be put in the mail that day. A week after that I was still waiting...no letter so called again. After 3 weeks of waiting I'm going to pick it up so this cant happen again. A pretty simple & straightforward transaction. Amazed thst a "financial institution" struggled with something simple as this & why I couldnt have done this from the start. Needless to say I would never put my money in your hands. Glad I didnt choose you.

Update: almost 5 more weeks after they were going to remail it (to the right address this time) & still not here. Wow....just wow! Unbelievable

I can not believe that this Bank has not one review but this one before January 13th 2020. Could be because Macatawa Bank is a small banking in Holland Michigan in southwest Michigan. If you are looking for a bank here in this part of the state, you should be very happy with checking and saving accounts, they do have a wonderful financial adviser department, also will do walkin and appointment work with you in person one on one in the office They will do home loads, but
by being a small town bank they will need to sale those kinds of loads. That's the only thing that I in the past 25 years I wish they could do themselves.
A couple year ago I received a scam pho e call telling me I owed money to the IRS, at the bank closing three account, the bank manager in Douglas Mich. Came out to my car and stopped me from wiring all my money to a scamer Thank you they do cure
