Lyons Bowe Solicitors - Exeter Anmeldelser

Had a really good experience with Lyon Bowe and would recommend. They are great with their communication and fast with their work, always offering help and support if needed.

This firm clearly advertises an Exeter office and a team of people to help you. At the time of writing the text on their website is -

"From our base in the historic cathedral city of Exeter, we provide comprehensive legal support for clients throughout Devon. We provide conveyancing services across the West Country property market, from city‑centre apartments to rural homes and coastal properties, and we tailor our conveyancing services accordingly. Our Exeter team is committed to being a proactive presence in the community, offering modern legal solutions in property, family law, Wills and probate while maintaining traditional standards of personal service, for clients across for clients across Exeter, Topsham, Exmouth, Tiverton and Devon." People are also pictured but I assume they are just stock photos that can be obtained anywhere.

This is simply not true. In the words of a member of their own staff -

"While there is an office in Exeter, this is a virtual one which is not manned. As such, while documents can be dropped of there to be sent to us, it is not a location where you can typically go for an appointment."

I didn't discover this until part-way through a very lengthy onboarding process and having a local office was important to me.

False or misleading information advertised on a website isn't a good look for a Law firm, in my opinion.

Everything so far has been fantastic, smooth and have been kept up to date every step of the way and the app which shows your progress is an amazing feature.

Ellie was really helpful and patient throughout the experience. Could not recommend highly enough.

Very unclear guidance and big fees with little work. We sadly decided to go with Lyons Bowe after recommendations from associates. It turned out to be a very bad choice, after having to fork out £1500 for 1 email from a solicitor. Despite taking out an abortive pledge fee, when our house sale fell through they would not stand by this and instead charged us a fee of £1500 for searches. Very disappointed with how they handled the situation and would not recommend at all.

I have been very impressed with the quick work delivered by Jazmin.
Thanks so much for your help Jazmin 😅

Excellent team very helpful, well recommended

Lyons Bowe Solicitors were extremely slow and would keep important information sitting on their desk for a week or two before even looking at it. Information was not relayed at a reasonable pace. Communication was was poor and we were expected to fill out forms without any help from the solicitors, I assumed I was paying the them to handle all my paperwork, but I did a lot of it. I would not recommend Lyons Bowe.
