It’s just kinda expensive for Africans that’s all.

I paid for the PRO plan on April 28th. It has been a month and the credits were never added to my account. I have sent multiple emails to support with the receipt attached, and they completely ignore me. The worst part? Their automated marketing system still sends me emails asking me to "upgrade" to PRO.

Because of this unacceptable delay and zero communication, I had to build my websites on another platform. I am currently initiating a chargeback via my bank and gathering a group of other users who experienced the same issue. Do not pay for their services until they fix their billing and support systems!

I started with a plan that I had thought out beforehand, and in plain language I was able to build exactly what I wanted right on my phone. The mobile interface is a little more difficult to grasp and switching to desktop helped immensely. I found the AI help desk to be very helpful and the articles clear and concise.

I will give one piece of credit the rendering are nice, but their AI is really bad at following instructions. For such a simple ask Lovable's AI could not follow instructions. I would ask it LxWxH and it doesn't understand what that means. I started with the $25 plan and spent all my monthly credits trying to get a very simple rendering. I asked for a reimbursement from the company and was told no because at the time I used 70% of my credits. I would have been fine if they gave me some sort of credit but apparently that type of ask is not allowed. Terrible customer experience and would not recommend.

And after blocking, you can't unblock it as they respond to only paid users.

It is like Mother Earth, filled with countless treasures in her lap. It supports people based on their skills, talent, and knowledge. It has helped greatly in many projects. As a designer, I am gaining a strong advantage from it. Thank you to the lovable team.

The ease of use and how they have improved over time in fixing bugs

Lovable is my new best friend. This was a great experience. I had no idea what I was doing but AI with lovable did. Guided me all the way through. I’m already on my second project. I love it. Thank you chat. You did that

Tried the AI. Initial site produced looked promising but contained many 404 pages. AI refused to fix this until I paid more money - credits required to create an error free website being more than available. Don't know how many credits are required to built an error free website since they do not list an error free version as being part of any plan.

Lovable är en riktigt bra idé. Tyvärr så leder Lovable dig in i återvändsgränder, gång på gång. Och det kostar hela tiden mycket pengar. Jag har nu spenderat en mindre förmögenhet på att konstatera att olika föreslagna lösningar inte fungerar. Lovable måste få bukt med detta och göra så deras app gissar mindre och istället föreslår lösningar som funkar. Det är inte ok att ta betalt för en AI som gissar fel.

Great app performance, about 75%.

Lovable has become so greedy they could make mobs and dr*glords look like saints. The way they aggressively burn credits in chat now is absolutely INSANE.

If you’ve been a Lovable customer for the last few months like I have, then you KNOW how much faster credits disappear now compared to before.

And it’s not just “slightly worse”, it feels intentional at this point.

Before, the AI would mostly follow prompts correctly. In 4 months, I maybe experienced 1-2 times where it completely misunderstood something. Now? Suddenly it constantly changes things you NEVER asked for, ignores direct instructions, breaks existing sections, or does the complete opposite of your prompt… forcing you to waste even more credits fixing problems IT created itself.

That’s the most diabolical part:
You’re no longer just paying to build. You’re paying to UNDO damage.

And now they’ve also started charging heavily once your app/website is actually built and scaling usage like crazy.

I understand businesses need to make money. Nobody expects free unlimited AI.

But Lovable went from “great product with huge potential” to financially violating their users without warning 💀

Honestly, Lovable had the potential to become the biggest AI website platform in the industry. But if this level of greed continues, I genuinely give them max 2 years before competitors take over and their users leave in masses.

Personally, I’ve already built my last project on Lovable.

And I already know at least 7 other people moving away from the platform for the exact same reason: Pure greed.

Loveable was so easy to use. It made building fun and fast. I built my UX portfolio in 7 hours overnight to prep for an interview the next day. Without Lovable, it would have taken me weeks to create a portfolio website. The hiring manager also said he liked my portfolio!

The last app I dreamed up had quite a bit of complex math and physics under the hood, but it was rather easy to describe what I wanted the app to do for me. For the first version, I just spoke to the microphone in my non-English first language what I wanted, told it to make a plan and hit go.

After answering a few questions regarding the desired level of realism in the physical world models, and some UI-related questions, I approved the plan and the first prototype was built in minutes. Tested it, added a few features to make it even better, checked and corrected some functionality issues on iOS and Android, done. Ready to deploy within an hour in total for some friends to try out on their phones, including a thorough business analysis exploring market potential in different future configurations that I asked for just for fun.

The most impressive thing is how Lovable draws on deep knowledge about the world in general and is able to construct a deep and complex hierachy of implicit requirements. This means it does things that you never told it to do, and you get the opportunity to say yes or no to the suggested added features and details at every step.

Another great thing is how it fetches SDKs and APIs for all kinds of gadgets like smartwatches and connected training gear, and designs bridges and mini-apps to pull data from them. Also hooks up to different open data sources for data feeds on the fly. It even provides step-by-step instructions on how to install these components in the gadgets for novice users like me, a full user manual with troubleshooting table and all.

I can forgive it for some seemingly simple flaws like not testing the app automatically for all possible platforms in a mobile-first application - I got some annoying 404 Page not found here and there in the first prototype iterations but it corrects the errors after a few tries.

Since I am not a professional software developer, I cannot say how easy it is to make more detailed adjustments to the code but it seems easily accessible with good structure, lots of carefully chosen variable names and informative comments, and can also be exported to other tools. I also lack competence to say anything about larger architectural issues that may arise when integrating apps from Lovable into complex enterprise systems.

All in all, Lovable is a great tool for me and it is very fun to use!

started using since last september or so 1, it is insanely expensive compared to using like codex or claude code on zed or in terminal like 5% of the cost than lovable all they are is just a wrapper. they have definitely improved on executing but also have gotten greedy moving from supabase to their own cloud making vibe coders who has no idea how this works changing this a complete mess before they use to just connect to supabase directly with your own account and everythign same with resend now they just keep everything hidden and use their own services just so they can keep you here forever. ive spent almost $3000 on lovable trying to get out now but the difficulty is insane. its a trap

Perfect app and ideas builder

So buggy. Overall the first time I used it, it was a rush job to build a website for my brand. It did a fine enough job but quite a few hiccups...who cares it got the job done for what I needed at first. Then I had multiple issues with customer service and disclosure...still haven't heard back from billing issues. Then when I wanted to update my site make minor text copy changes first off I had to buy more credits since I hadn't heard back from support to even fix my site which I should have credits for. So it's like okay I'm out another $26ish dollars (I've invested way more with this site) but everytime I'd try to make a copy change it writes it's own texts, does what it wants, and burns through credits really spending the majority of the time pleading with it to stop working on its own accord. What should've taken an hour max has taken upwards of 3. Honestly you're better off dedicating the time to using other website builder providers. The first chance I get I'll be making my own website, just expect half of your credits or more concentrated on the mistakes it makes and debating with a faceless site.

Even after creating a workaround to reduce token usage by using another AI platform to clean up my prompts, make them more efficient, and reduce errors, the token limits still feel way too restrictive. You only get 100 tokens per month plus 5 extra per day, which is not nearly enough if you’re trying to build something serious.

The bigger issue is that errors and failed attempts still burn through tokens quickly. I spent $60 last month and still had a lot of issues I needed to fix manually. That gets frustrating fast, especially when you feel like you’re paying more just to troubleshoot problems the platform should be handling better.

I’ll be moving to another platform next month. My advice: if you’re trying to build a real, polished project, be careful. The token system can make it feel like the platform is designed to push you into buying more instead of helping you complete your work efficiently.
