I'm extremely disappointed to have to leave such a negative review for this company as I was so grateful and had high hopes when I booked them given their good reputation.

Prior to booking for an important event, I took care to specify to the team that we would need (1) live audio for a full-day event; and (2) we need the sessions recorded. I specified exactly what the equipment is that we would use for recording and made clear we need a service that supports recording.

On the day of the event, the sound engineer who was sent to us could not get the board to work, leaving us with no audio at all for the morning sessions - embarrassing us, inconveniencing our guests and our speakers. We were not immediately informed of this so I could not get it resolved in a timely manner. I kept being told it would take "just 15 minutes" until finally, it was time for the event to start and there was still no audio. I called the company to get this fixed. To Sam's credit, she did pick up immediately and she did try to resolve the issue immediately. Unfortunately, this would require a new board to be went to us but it wouldn't reach us on time. We had to start the session with no audio to avoid wasting even more speakers time (and incurring additional costs accordingly).

Even when the second board was sent, we were told that it did work now but unfortunately, it had no connecting part for the equipment we were using to record - something which we had specified was required.

I was extremely disheartened by this given we had discussed it before I booked. I would not have booked the service at all had I known that (1) the first half of the service would have no audio at all and (2) the second half would have live audio but wouldn't connect to recording. I paid for a service expecting both of these to be fulfilled and at no point during the way were both services fulfilled. Despite this, I have held off leaving a review until now because mistakes happen, even to the best of us. I've certainly made mistakes before and I know what it's like. So, I was assured that Sam and the team were doing their best in good faith to rectify and compensate the errors.

Sadly, my communication with the team since the event in the process of trying to obtain a refund has left me even more disappointed than the initial failure of the service. As I've said, mistakes happen - that is frustrating, but understandable. What is less understandable to me is the way that the company has handled the refund and complaint process since the event itself.

I have had to chase for updates for the refund every step of the way. When I finally received a response after calling today, I was astounded to discover that the company had completely ignored just how wide scale the failure of the service was. They insisted that they thought they'd fulfilled 80% of the service paid for, which doesn't come close to reflecting the failures we had outlined in detail throughout the entire day. This is much more concerning even than the initial failure as this suggests to me that the company failed to understand and care about what the requirements for the booking were and then tried to minimise these when they failed to deliver on them. They expect customers to fix and pay for the damage caused by their own errors.

It is one thing for a company to make an honest mistake, but quite dishonest to then try to minimise the failure of the service and jut leave customers dry. This suggests to me that the company does not understand that their clients rely on their services and that when they fail to deliver, the loss is substantial - it includes not just a failure of the contracted service, but also results in additional costs when trying to rectify this. This is far beyond. the standard I would expect from high a highly rated and seemingly professional company. I do hope they will reconsider their complaint policies for when things go wrong.

LSH were excellent from start to finish. The booking system worked perfectly, the equipment arrived and was collected on schedule and they were very quick to return my calls. I highly recommend them.

We rented some items for our event at the Hellenic Centre in London and we had an amazing service. Prices were also very competitive.

The event i used London Speaker Hire for (my father's memorial) was a huge pressure for me over many months as my dad and most of the people attending were/are musicians . I'd never had to do anything like this before and the way Samantha in particular supported me and walked me through the process is something I will always be grateful for! The delivery and pickup was efficient and seamless and took a large part of the stress for me out of the day I don't think I will try to organise an event from the other end of the country ever again but if I did, I would be coming straight to you!!

London Speaker Hire were great. Hugo phoned and ran through all my queries about setup and use of the PA. He was so helpful and reassuring. PA turned up on time and was rigged and worked perfectly. It sounded really good. I can't fault anything. Thanks it really made for a great wedding party

We are Enfield National Education Union, protesting against a draconian sickness absence policy imposed on our members. The speakers were amazing and made us loud and proud. It was thrilling to drive two buses around Enfield, with powerful speakers, getting us noticed. When we protested outside the council, we were told that all meetings had to be stopped because of the noise we made. It was powerful!!! Members told me that the sound of the magic bus approaching, when they could hear it before they could see it was so exciting.
London Speaker hire were so helpful throughout the hire and Hugo who came to set up the speakers on the bus made everything so simple and easy for me. A big thank you to all at London Speaker hire. I hope you can help us out for our next strike action too!

London Speaker Hire has been my go to for sound rental for years. Samantha and crew do an excellent job with their rentals, never any kit missing, and always delivered within the agreed time range. Their delivery driver and I had a great chat about setting up some of the gear in play last rental while an emergency vehicle was blocking his exit. Just really lovey people providing great gear and service. Highly recommend.

After being quoted in excess of £250.00 by a couple of DJ's for a four hour session to celebrate my 80th birthday, I decided to scour the internet in search of speaker hire costs. That's how I came across London Speaker Hire. WHAT A FIND! From my very first conversation with Samantha Turner, I knew that I was onto a winner! Her warmth, friendliness and determination to provide a really good experience was incredible! She gave me a full demonstration of the two-speaker system I eventually hired.
