To Locauto Customer Service, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding two issues I experienced during my recent car rental with Locauto. 1. Security Incident at Milano Centrale Office While at your Milano Centrale station office, my wallet was stolen. While I understand that I am ultimately responsible for my personal belongings, I am deeply frustrated by the environment that allowed this to happen inside your closed office. While waiting in line, an individual offered to let me skip ahead. After I returned my driver's license to my backpack, he used a white t-shirt to conceal his actions and took my wallet. What is highly concerning is that your representative noticed this individual, suspected he was not a legitimate customer, and yet did nothing. Despite observing this suspicious behavior in a closed office setting, your staff made no effort to intervene or ask him to leave. Ignoring a known, suspicious presence compromises the safety of your paying customers. 2. Unjustified Fuel Charge Additionally, I was incorrectly charged an extra €53.73 for fuel, despite returning the vehicle with a completely full tank. The attendant who processed the drop-off explicitly told me everything was fine. When I later spoke with a Locauto representative at the airport, they acknowledged this was an error and assured me that customer service would approve my claim and issue a refund. Resolution Requested I kindly request an immediate refund of the €53.73 erroneous fuel charge to my original payment method. Furthermore, I ask that the security incident at the Milano Centrale office be escalated to management, as a closed office should feel like a safe environment for your customers. Ho noleggiato una Citroën C3 per 3 giorni con Locauto e mi sono trovato benissimo. L'auto era praticamente nuova, profumata e pulitissima. Un ringraziamento speciale va a Giacomo, che alla riconsegna (domenica 09/08 verso le 17:00) è stato estremamente professionale, gentile e attento alle esigenze del cliente. Un'attenzione al cliente davvero rara da trovare. Consigliatissimi, tornerò di sicuro!

Ho noleggiato anno scorso con locauto e stato bene con check out e check in dalla macchina questo anno ho noleggiato ancora e andata benissimo..

Upselling issue and no customer care at the checking in - Our train was cancelled and I called the office. They said it’s no show and gave me different car and charged me additional money which is unfair. We were late only couple of hours and even that was beyond our control. I am ok with a different car but charging extra/upselling to take the advantage is bad thing.
I asked for Patrol car and I was given Diesel car which is again not a good thing. My overall experience was not better than 3 star.

Easy and simple rented two different types of Cars. Booked online and then just went and pick them up and had the help of Super proffesionell personal.

The car worked perfectly. Giancarlo was very friendly and helpful!

Een auto huren vrij simpel en snel geregeld ook het afleveren ging goed gelukkig geen schade dat scheelt ook natuurlijk duidelijk uitleg alles prima verlopen. Ook prima bereikbaar waar je de auto kan halen en brengen. Was voor ons de eerste keer auto huren in Italië en personeel spreekt ook wel Engels.

My scheduled pickup time was 1:00 PM, but I was told there were no cars available and asked to wait two hours.
When I returned to pick up the vehicle after two hours, the desk staff processed the paperwork without even offering an apology.

They claimed they couldn't rent the car to me because my domestic driver's license had been renewed less than a year ago.
I had to urgently contact someone back home to get a photo of my old license to present as proof.
I showed them a rental contract from a trip to Spain in 2025, but they dismissed it because it wasn't from Italy.
The pickup process was truly frustrating; it took me two and a half hours to finally get the car.
