Bad quality and online client service
I purchased a pair of boots that became damaged after only one (1) short normal use (walking from the car to the building and remaining seated). The leather interior of the boots tore, which does not correspond to normal use expected for this type of product, nor to the price paid.
Customer service refused to acknowledge the issue, citing their 30-day warranty, despite the existence of the legal warranty, which protects buyers against defects in quality.
I am therefore disappointed with the quality of the product and the handling of my request.
J’ai acheté une paire de bottes qui s’est abîmée après seulement une (1) courte utilisation normale (aller de l’auto au bâtiment et rester assise). L’intérieur en cuir des bottes s’est déchiré, ce qui ne correspond pas à un usage normal attendu pour ce type de produit, ni au prix payé.
Le service client a refusé de reconnaître le problème en invoquant leur garantie de 30 jours, malgré l’existence de la garantie légale, qui protège l’acheteur contre les défauts de qualité.
Je suis donc déçue de la qualité du produit et de la gestion de ma demande.
Précision / update : Celles-ci ont été portées une seule fois : je me suis déplacée de l’auto au bâtiment, puis je suis restée assise en classe. Il n’y a eu ni marche prolongée, ni frottement contre un trottoir, ni contact avec un objet pointu à l’intérieur des bottes, contrairement à ce que vous avez suggéré dans votre courriel. L’analogie du téléphone tombé suppose un incident précis, ce qui n’est pas le cas ici, puisque les bottes ont été utilisées normalement, sans aucun événement particulier.

I had a consistently terrible experience with this company and would not ever recommend ordering from them.
First order:
I ordered three pairs of shoes. One arrived defective: mismatched sizes in the same box (one shoe size 37, the other size 40). The other two pairs did not fit. Despite the defective item being a clear fulfillment error, the refund was issued as store credit, even though most of my payment was made by credit card (80$ gift card, over 200$ on credit card). Customer service claimed their “system is automatic” and refused to correct the spending allocation.
Because my money was tied up in store credit, I was forced to reorder.
Second order:
A pair of replacement boots arrived defective: two right shoes. At this point, it was clear this was not a one-off error but a pattern of poor quality control.
To make matters worse, the company later canceled one out of the three pairs of my reorder only after I had to reach out (ordered January 9, cancelled January 27 - back to store credit), claiming the last and only pair in my size is “damaged,” despite the item still being listed for sale, available on their website. This suggests damaged inventory will simply be passed to another customer.
Customer service ignored multiple requests for a proper resolution. Instead of fixing the refund issue or offering free shipping (I am now stuck with a small gift card balance and a $150 minimum for free shipping), they offered a 20% discount on a full-price item and no ownership or apology, which does not solve the problem.
In the end, I am left with unusable store credit and no confidence in the product quality or customer service. Repeated defective merchandise, refusal to refund properly, and dismissive support have ensured I will never shop here again.

It’s so easy to miss!! Also they have signage in the store that says “EVERYTHING 40% OFF. Conditions apply” and the condition is that NOT EVERYTHING is 40% off. Insane false advertising. The quality of the shoes is so bad too, no wonder they won’t let you return them or they wouldn’t make any money. Predatory business practices.
Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service. Horrible company and shoes. Run away. It’s a huge scam. The shoes are poorly made and advertised as “high quality and slow fashion”. Yeah right. Just avoid and save your money
I would not recommend this site or their shoes
I would not recommend this site to anybody. Purchased 3 shoes all with some form of a defect or issue. I reached out to customer service explaining that i bought them to wear for my corporate job and I would not feel comfortable wearing them to work. The response was those issues will not affect the wearability of the shoe which to me is open to interpretation because what could be an issue for me, may not be for someone else. If the shoes are already peeling now what is it going to look like in a few months. Very disappointed and I do not intend to ever buy shoes from here again.

I notified the company and they refused to give me a refund despite escalating the matter with the higher ups! I’ve never experienced such horrific customer service, it truly feels like I’ve been scammed! I would give this company 0 stars if I could just based on quality and customer service alone.
Horrible inventory management or lack…
Horrible inventory management or lack there of. I bought two boots during a bogo sale( wasn’t really a bogo with the pricing as I noticed they raised the price of one pair, but it was close enough.) Over a month went by and they never shipped. After contacting customer service that said they wouldn’t find one of the boots and were still searching. A few more weeks went by and I cancelled my order. I really wanted those boots, but what of a company is so disorganized that they can’t find shoes that were purchased? I read other reviews and looks like I’m not the only one with this experience. Either they need to upgrade their inventory management system, or replace whoever is in charge of it. The current way they run their business is not it.

I got 5 pairs of beautiful leather summer shoes for $156! They came quickly and I have had no problems with them. The other thing I love is that they are Canadian. Now more than ever we need to support our Canadian businesses. I’m so happy I discovered L’Intervalle Shoes!

I placed an order that was shown as in stock, but after nearly a month of waiting I was told it couldn’t be fulfilled. Instead of taking responsibility, the company dragged me through endless follow-ups with no real solution or goodwill offered. Poor inventory management and even worse customer service — I won’t be ordering from them again.

THE WORST CUSTOMER CARE EVER!!!!
Have on multiple occasions ordered shoes from their sale which they promote heavily in emails, this is the FOURTH time I have followed up multiples times over the span of a month with no updates on the order only to have them cancel it - even though they say it is still processing. This has happened to my friends and almost all of my coworkers. Literally the WORST customer I have ever received over and over, you would think I would learn a lesson and stop shopping here but I love supporting a local business.
Return issue
Tried on shoes in store that were too small. Employee told me she could ship the size up to my house, if they didn’t fit I had 10 days for full refund. They arrive and don’t fit, I go to return them and was told they were 20% off and can’t get a refund. I explained this is not what I was told, and I would not have purchased shoes that potentially wouldn’t fit had I been made aware. They took no accountability. Even after emailing customer service they wouldn’t assist me

Overall terrible policies and bad quality. I made the mistake of not properly reading their refund policy and bought 3 pairs of shoes during a sitewide sale of 20% off (which most brands would not consider to be non-refundable since it wasn’t a promo code). Unfortunately, this meant they were only returnable for a giftcard, so I was stuck with $500 that I now had to try to spend there. I placed 3 separate orders of all different shoes in an effort to use up the giftcard and every time the shoes were low quality, poorly made, strangely sized, and most of all uncomfortable. I’ve finally given up and purchased 2 handbags and even those feel low quality. Avoid this brand and choose more wisely than I did.

I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience at L’Intervalle and will not be shopping here again. I purchased two pairs of shoes while in town for a short visit, only to discover they didn’t suit my needs. When I attempted to return them within the 10-day window, I was told in-store that only store credit was available due to a BOGO (buy one, get one) promotion—something that was not clearly communicated to me at the time of purchase.
Even after the promotion, I spent over $300 on shoes that turned out to be of mediocre quality. I reached out to customer service explaining the situation, including that I was only visiting town and would not be shopping again. Despite this, my request for a refund was denied. To make matters worse, store staff had told me to email customer service, implying there was flexibility—only for the email response to cite rigid policies with no attempt to help.
L’Intervalle’s return policy is unreasonably strict, poorly communicated, and completely inflexible. I now see that many other customers have had similar negative experiences—I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. This brand has clearly built a reputation for putting policy above people, and for selling overpriced, underwhelming products.
I won’t make this mistake again. I feel misled and taken advantage of, and I strongly encourage others to shop elsewhere. Not the quality, service, or experience anyone should expect from a modern retailer.

Very disappointed with customer service – order still not received after almost a month
I feel compelled to share my experience with L'Intervalle's customer service, which has been truly disappointing. I placed an order for a pair of boots nearly a month ago, and to this day, I have not received them. There has been no meaningful follow-up, and what bothers me even more is the cold and unprofessional attitude from customer service.
All my communication has been via email with a representative named Erica. Unfortunately, she has shown no support, no empathy, and no sense of responsibility. Instead of reassuring a concerned customer, her responses were distant, dismissive, and at times even critical of my concerns about the unreasonable delay.
I understand that delays can happen, but what I don’t understand is the complete lack of care shown toward customers. No effort was made to resolve the issue or simply to offer an apology.
I am extremely disappointed and I don’t see myself shopping with L'Intervalle again if this is how they handle customer relations.
My order was cancelled by L'intervalle
I ordered my Grazia boots Dec 21st, 2024. The order confirmation disclaimer noted to "allow 2-4 business days for your order to be ready for pick up." The shoes never arrived and I was never notified about the delivery status. After contacting Customer service five times, they finally told me that "my item was oversold" and asked me to cancel may order on February 9, 2025. This is not a first time I had a bad experience with this company, but never wrote a review.
Awful customer service
Awful customer service. Have been waiting over 3 weeks now for boots that were an exchange after returning a pair of low quality boots that were missing stitching around the soles. Dealing with this company is an exercise in futility. Still waiting…. Never again.

Le 5 décembre dernier, j'ai effectué une commande en ligne d'une paire de bottes à prix réduit.
Voyant que la commande ne bougeait pas, j'ai écrit à la compagnie pour connaître les délais de livraison.
Je reçois finalement mes bottes le 19 décembre.
Une botte est défectueuse. Une des languettes de cuir est mal cousue dans la doublure (ce détail est important dans l'histoire). Elle grafigne et pique, ce qui risque d'abîmer mes pantalons.
Échange de courriels avec la compagnie et envoi de photos.
Le 24 décembre, la compagnie m'envoie une étiquette de retour pour procéder à un échange.
Je remarque que les bottes ne sont plus disponibles dans ma pointure sur le site internet et elles sont encore moins chères.
Un autre échange de courriels, pour savoir si un remboursement est possible et/ou un ajustement de prix peut être fait.
Non, non, non, la politique est claire : aucun ajustement n'est possible et une paire de bottes a été mise de côté pour procéder à l'échange.
Le 31 décembre, ils reçoivent mon retour.
Le 2 janvier, je reçois un courriel pour m'aviser que ma commande d'échange est en préparation.
Le 10 janvier, rien n'a bougé… Je vous rappelle que j'ai commandé le 5 décembre.
Je réécris à L'INTERVALLE pour avoir un suivi. Un drapeau est placé sur mon dossier pour les réveiller.
Le 15 janvier, je reçois l'échange de ladite paire de bottes.
IN-CRO-YABLE.
Ils ont coupé les foutues de languettes. Frette sec.
Je bouillais. Je ne pouvais pas croire ce que j'étais en train de vivre.
Non, mais quelle compagnie se respectant un tant soit peu peut faire ça à un client en se disant que ça va être correct ?
Envoi d'un autre courriel pour clairement démontrer mon mécontentement. J'ai exigé une seconde étiquette de retour et un remboursement. Car rendu, à ce stade, je me moque totalement de leurs politiques.
Le 20 janvier, j'ai reçu l'étiquette de retour.
Le 21 janvier, les bottes maudites sont de retour chez L'INTERVALLE.
Le 26 janvier, sans surprise, toujours aucun remboursement n'apparaît sur mon compte de crédit.
Une fois de plus, j'écris à L'INTERVALLE pour avoir un suivi.
Clairement, il ne faut jamais lâcher le morceau avec eux…
Le 27 janvier, nous sommes à près de 2 mois depuis l'achat de la (crisse de) paire de bottes.
Je reçois finalement un courriel de confirmation de remboursement, où ils ont pris soin de déduire les 12$ de frais de shipping de la commande initiale, datant du 5 décembre (en prônant une fois de plus leur politique à la noix).
Réééééécrit à la compagnie pour faire entendre mon point, que ça n'a aucun sens de déduire un frais de shipping alors QU'ILS ne sont pas en mesure de livrer la marchandise pour laquelle j'ai au départ déboursé ce 12$ de shipping.
J'ai payé du shipping, pourquoi, au final, du vent et du trouble. CALVERT.
J'ai finalement gagné mon point et obtenu un remboursement des frais de shipping, le 29 janvier. J'ai même eu droit à des excuses pour la première fois depuis le début de cette saga. Le minimum, quoi!

Too bad I can’t rate 0 star. I am still waiting for an order placed 6 weeks ago to be “processed”. No intended follow-ups after 2 weeks. No refund proposed and still no reassuring update possible after 6. Worst customer service ever for shoes that cost so much. I sincerely hope to either receive the shoes or get my money back ASAP. I bought boots for winter!
