I'm making excellent progress in my sprint, however, the sprint itself is quite stressful. In retrospect, I would have been better off just subscribing. Either way, I plan on continuing with the regular class progression after the sprint is complete.

Very practical way for learning languages at own pace. For those who mean it seriously Lingoda offers lot of excercises and practices. So for every 1-hour lesson you can spend another half an hour or hour with repeating vocabulary and grammar

Lots of speaking practice. Too much fallback to English.
Teachers have been good about getting every student opportunities to speak in classes. My only complaint is that there’s too much English in every class. Most students know more English than German so it’s easy to fall back on English for questions and explanations. That limits my ability to stay in “German mode” and stretch my learning when questions and answers get challenging.

I absolutely love this course! The course material is excellent and I love how the teachers are from different Spanish-speaking countries, meaning that I get to hear diverse accents and expressions. Also, because you're getting different teachers, you're getting people with a wide range of viewpoints and life experiences. I really look forward to my lessons.

Spielerisch aber effektives Sprachenlernen
Es macht sehr viel Spaß, Sprachen mit Lingoda zu lernen. Kleinstgruppenunterricht durch Muttersprachler aus der ganzen Welt, gut funktionierende Technik, ansprechend erstelltes Unterrichtsmaterial und viele Übungsmöglichkeiten, auch mit KI-Gesprächen. Und der Preis ist vertretbar.
Allerdings gefällt es mir nicht, dass man bei einer Kündigung das Geld für nicht verbrauchte Stunden ("Credits"), nicht zurück bekommt. Das schmeckt ein bisschen nach Abofalle.

Wir nehmen auch Ihren Kritikpunkt bezüglich der ungenutzten Credits ernst. Unser System basiert auf einem monatlichen Abo-Modell, bei dem die Credits für den jeweiligen Abrechnungszeitraum gedacht sind. Dass dies wie eine ‚Abofalle‘ wirkt, bedauern wir sehr, denn Transparenz ist uns wichtig. Wir empfehlen unseren Lernenden daher immer, vor einer Kündigung alle verbleibenden Credits zu nutzen, da die Stunden auch noch bis zum letzten Tag des aktiven Abos genommen werden können. Die Credits sind bis zu einem Jahr ab Kaufdatum gültig, können also zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt genutzt werden, sofern das Lingoda Konto mit einem neuen Kurs wieder aktiviert wurde.

Lingoda is a really great way to learn…
Lingoda is a really great way to learn a language. My husband and I are learning Spanish and we have been able to pick classes to suit our varied schedules. The classes are very well structured, and the instructors are great. We feel it is fairly priced. One great thing that the instructors are from every Spanish country so you hear a variety of Spanish accents. There are two things I don’t completely love. One is that sometimes the instructors speak very quickly or forge ahead with the lesson when it is clear some people really don’t understand what is going on. and it’s weird because most of the instructors are amazing and make you feel really excited and enthusiastic about learning Spanish. I would say you get an instructor you don’t love 2% of the time. The other thing I wish is that you could pause your subscription for a little while and still be able to access all the material.

From just a bunch of words to speaking confidently…
I came to Lingoda with a large "vocabulary" but no real knowledge of how to make all those words into sentences. During the sprint I was able to focus on grammar and speaking so that now I can confidently put sentences together and now as I learn new words I know how to use them! The teachers were great and the small class size made speaking fun and not intimidating.

Lingoda is great value for language learning!
Lingoda is a super language learning website and program. The curriculum is organized, the teachers are super, the classes have only a few students, and the user interface is easy to use. I love that I can book a class pretty much anytime 24/7. I'm learning so much faster with Lingoda than I would studying on my own, and with more flexibility and convenience than in taking in-person classes.

Starting from scratch with German has been really easy
Starting from scratch with German has been really reassuring and gentle with Lingoda. Even when the teacher is speaking mostly German, it has been at a pace that I can understand and I've been amazed at what I've been able to pick up in just a few lessons. This is definitely the best way to learn as you start speaking right from the start.

I want to thank the customer service team at lingoda they are truly the best.
As for the teachers, it really depends. There are some truly great teachers like Jossip, Bernd, and Margarita. But there are also some less good teachers who come late and finish the course a few minutes early, or teachers who don’t give students enough opportunity to speak because they talk too much themselves.
That being said, the course material is outstanding. It finally helped me speak and think in the target language. The method is very effective, and I think it is one of the best on the market. German was my fourth language, and with three lessons per week for six months, I reached a C1 level.

Very good quality of the teaching material, excellent teachers. I love the flexibility and the good teacher to student ratio. I enjoy being able to select a proper pace suitable for my needs. After a few weeks, I can say that I feel I am already learning.
