Funds pending for hours
Opened multiple fixed 1 year accounts. Have an easy access.
No problems.
Have withdrawn bits and bobs from their current account to my my nationwide account in the last 4 months since opening no problems.
Went to draw £300 and then £500 within 20 minutes last night and it’s suddenly pending and has been for 24 hrs so far.
Can’t contact them directly and have to wait to email them during a weekday 9-5 via email only.
Waiting weeks
Got app, created account, been waiting at review stage for weeks now. Poor service - never had this before with any bank or fintech. Useless.
Horrible Customer service
I have a Easy-Access Account with LHV. I asked them to close my account - That can only be done via email.
I got a reply with : please send account details and upload a selfie and bank statement etc . I did that I am still waiting for any proper communication from them and its has already been 2 days.
I will suggest all future savers , Avoid this bank !! they are good as long as you pay them when its time to withdraw money it looks like a SCAM!!

Its been 3 working days and no reply yet. Any UK based bank does this work in 1 working day.

Absolutely USELESS and incompetent
Signed up via the app over a month ago. It keeps saying it's checking my details, but I submitted all my passport, my documents, everything. To this day, the app says we're reviewing your details. I had to email them directly, and they're asking me for my details again, which I provided. Weeks have gone by, and I've still heard nothing. The most useless and incompetent bank I've ever dealt with. They have wasted so much of my time. I wish I'd never downloaded the app and I will not be recommending them to anyone.

Opened a current account with easy access savings linked. Depositing money was easy and fast with the app, but when I needed to withdraw money I encountered a daily payments limit that was not shown when opening the accounts (or known to MoneySavingExpert who I always use when looking for accounts). The next day I tried again only to discover a monthly payments limit of slightly more than the daily, meaning my money was locked into an "easy access" account. The only way to contact Customer Services is via email which takes days to receive replies. I've now requested a full closure and will be complaining to FSCS.

Lack of communication
Certainly very easy to set up the App and fund the account. I opened a current account and was able to take note of my account number and sort code but when I opened a savings account there was no sign of an account number or sort code so I emailed LHV and expected a reply today (Monday). I didn't receive an email !!! I was considering depositing much more than my original deposit but the lack of communication would actually prompt me to close both accounts.

mixed, both good and bad, not a fully functioning bank
opening account was easy. interest rates are good. transfers into LHV are quick, however, transfers out are not, depends on the time you make the transfer. from testing, looks like 9-6 are instant, after that, then the transfer will take place the next day.
for support, you have have to email them, you can choose for them to call you back.
there are also limits
Daily Limit: £10,000.
Monthly Limit: £20,000.
Large Transfers: Contact LHV to authorize larger amounts.
Internal Transfers: Up to £1,000,000.
Debit Card Spend: Default £2,000 daily, up to £10,000

No access to my own money!
Similar experience to others - lost my phone, tried to register on a new device. Blocked from doing so and directed to an email address. They only respond on week days. Numberless debit card with my details on the app - mean I'm unable to buy anything online. So an account with money - inaccessible. Shocking
I'll be withdrawing my money and closing this account on regaining access

Mixed feelings
On the plus side it was not too difficult to set up an LHV account. The interest rates are very attractive and it was a breeze to fund the deposit and current accounts.
However that is where the good news stops. There seems to be only e-mail support Monday to Friday 9AM to 5PM. No phone support and no chat.
Following an e-mail exchange I am still none the wiser where I can withdraw cash using the debit card without any charges from ATMs. Link group? Specific bank?? It seems Trial and error is LHV's preference.
Worse still are the transaction limits of 10,000 per transaction and 20,000 per month. I reached those limits and now I am paralysed until next month. There is no way I can find to alter these limits within the App.

fscs & Bank Green approved plus good interest
Very easy joining process, confirmed in 10 minutes or so.
Money transferred in showed in account immediately, LHV immediately recognised by my other banks.
Obviously with LHV being new to me I didn't transfer everything over at once, but LHV is covered by fscs & given a good rating by Bank Green.
The bad reviews? Well, join using a passport rather than expecting LHV to recognise just anything, & perhaps don't expect to move tens of thousands in & out within days of opening. Standing orders? Do people still use these?
So far so good for me. App seems basic but all works well so far.

Can't get money back out
Very easy to set up new account. Easy to pay money in, but and a very big but! .. try to get money out and you get payments that should be instant, held in 'pending' and you have to contact them to find out why .. they then come up with a lengthy questionnaire wanting to know why you were making the payment, showing proof, what job you do, where you money comes from, etc, etc, etc
AND they impose not just a £10,000 daily limit, but also a £20,000 monthly limit !!! So it's far from instant access and locks your money away worse than a fixed bond. Only gratefull I didn't save more money with them.

No customer service at all on the…
No customer service at all on the weekend or after 5pm. I set up my account today without any issues, but after getting facial recognition confirmed on my other phone, I was promoted to login, but got a message saying there was a problem logging in, without saying what that was. I was instructed to contact customer support, but there isn't any over the weekend. Come Monday I'll be closing my account.

Really poor bank
Really poor bank. Don't answer the phone, don't call you when requested and been waiting over a week to open a new account. Will be looking elsewhere now to put my savings. Avoid, clearly understaffed and unprofessional bank. AVOID !!!

Customer Service Experience
Since I opened the account, it's been running smoothly (hence the 3 star), until yesterday the 9th, I made a withdrawal to myself and my fund was held in pending, all effort to reach them was not successful, no phone contact, no WhatsApp messenger. I emailed them twice, yesterday and today 10th, but no official response. How I I proceed from here, I'm stacked and my money is in limbo as it's been deducted from my account balance. This is not a good experience for anybody to go through. I expected more from them.
I hope that they can release my funds asap so that I can carry on doing business with them, if not, I will have to consider an alternative.
I will come back to give a final review of my experience and how efficient they were able to resolve my issues.

A straight forward current account I opened on 8th April 2026 via the app was easy after providing suitable ID my current account was opened very easy to fund from another uk bank money arrived instantly but just recently it’s taking a while to receive and debit money to a payee I sent money from my current account yesterday it’s still not arrived and withdrew some today to monzo that’s showing has pending unfortunately it’s not overly good has you are waiting I think I will stay with my main bank monzo and Revolut transfers instant

AVOID - DO NOT deposit funds with LHV!
Similar experience to others - lack of transparency, terrible service and now won't allow me to access my money. No information to be found online or in documentation that mentions daily £10,000 or monthly £20,000 withdrawal limits either before or after opening the accounts - I only discovered these when I tried to move money. Withdrawing is terrifying - my funds disappeared from the LHV account for 24+ hours before eventually appearing in the receiving account (and only after I prompted LHV). From other comments, it seems LHV has been aware of these issues for months and has done nothing. I'm now trying to cancel my accounts within the 14 day cooling-off period and retrieve my funds. LHV have not replied to my email request, despite finding time to respond to Trustpilot reviews - perhaps this will elicit a response (although that's likely to ask me to contact them again by email....!). Shocking service from any bank in the 21st century.

Locked out of account and getting no response
Im really worried about this bank....I opened after Martin Lewis mentioned it for paying great rates on current and linked savings accounts, but have not been able to login to the app all weekend and a bank that you can only contact by Email.....Come on, I will be closing accounts ONCE they even reply to me!

Shocking Money Transfer Issues
I transferred a sum of money from my account to an external current account that is in my name. Five hours have now passed and the money is neither in my LHV account or my external account. This is not a good service and I'm starting to think that I made a mistake by opening an account. The interest rate is good but the actual banking service is shocking. I can't even speak to a person to ask where my money is.

Will be closing
Just opened the account which was very easy and quick. However reading the reviews regarding almost zero customer service and people being locked out of the app now give me serious cause for concern. Based on this I will be closing & deleting which is a shame as they pay good interest rates but I have no wish to be locked out from my money
