I did Teaching Lexically course in July 2025 and thoroughly enjoyed it! It made me think differently about language, learning and teaching and I have already started putting some ideas into practice.
I loved the way the course was delivered - interactive and engaging - and the cultural part helped me discover the side of London I wouldn't have learned about otherwise.

I did the Teaching Lexically course in London in July 2025. That was exactly what I needed at that stage of my professional development. I got the proof and academic explanation of what I was doing intuitively and a bunch of other really useful and practical ideas which included working with students of all levels and how to teach them reading, listening and writing; how to work with one-to-one students; how to memorize and review.
There was a great supportive community of teachers with whom we discussed our ideas, shared experiences and found ways to deal with difficult situations.
On top of that, sometimes together and sometimes on our own we visited a number of tourist spots and Hugh and Andrew showed us hidden jewels of off-the-beaten-path locations.
All that helped me to immerse in and feel the life and energy of London!

I did the Teaching Lexically Summer Course in London in 2025. I learned a lot of techniques for building lessons with a lexical approach in mind, so that students not only develop their skills but also get the most out of each class in terms of vocabulary. I enjoyed every bit of the cultural programme and met a lot of great people. Thank you, Hugh Dellar and Andrew Walkley for making my first stay in London unforgettable!

This July I was lucky enough to to take part in the Teacher Development Course in London, and it was even better than I expected!

The trainers were brilliant – knowledgeable, supportive, and full of energy. The sessions were fun, clear, interactive, and genuinely engaging. I also loved with other teachers, sharing ideas, and learning from each other.

The social side – with tours, theatre nights, and more – made it a full cultural experience. If you’re looking to grow as a teacher and get inspired, this course is a must!

It is an amazing course created by experienced teachers Hugh Dellar and Andrew Walkley. It's full of practical ideas for teachers who want to learn, share, reflect, and also explore London. I'm so glad I joined, as it was an unforgettable experience. I left with valuable insights and fresh ideas that I'll definitely use in my lessons. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone teaching English, as it offers new perspectives and practical tools to help your students learn more effectively.

I did the Teacher Training course with Lexical Lab in London, and it was worth every penny. Hugh and Andrew both practice what they preach: just like the Lexical Approach itself, the course was interactive, engaging, and attuned to our needs. I felt a genuine connection with both my tutors and fellow teachers. This is one of those courses where you truly feel you've become a better teacher by the end, and I can't wait to put what I learned into practice.

I've also been taking Lexical Lab's Advanced English Speaking classes online from time to time, and each lesson gave my English a bigger boost than any coursebook out there. If you see a webinar, a course, a book, or anything else with the Lexical Lab name on it, you can be sure it's worth your time.

I took part in the Teacher Development Course in London this July and it exceeded my expectations. The course isn’t just about the theory and practice of Teaching Lexically. It’s about gaining a new perspective on teaching with the support of two fantastic trainers who are not only experts but also really inspiring people. The information is clear and well-structured, but what's more important it is also interactive and engaging. It’s also a chance to meet other teachers, share ideas, and find solutions together. The social part of the course which includes tours, theaters and much more guarantees a full cultural immersion. In my book, this course is a must if you want to take your teaching to a whole new level.

I have been studying with Lexical Lab for over two years and I will go on. Their lessons keep me on my toes while I develop my skills in the English language. I highly recommend this group ot talented professionals.

Lexical Lab is the best place to practise English and Spanish, to hone and bring your teaching skills to a new level and to learn more about British culture. I've done almost all courses by Lexical Lab, doing the Mediation course at the moment, and hope there are many more courses to come.

The best vocabulary boosting classes ever!

These are the best language courses I've attended! The best thing is how teachers approach lexis - it's built up on what we, students, want to say. It's personalised and that's why remembered better!

The advanced language courses I took multiple times exceeded my expectations in every possible way. Every single time!!! A little disclaimer, I am a teacher who is hard to please) One of the course's standout features is the use of authentic and relevant materials combined with a wide range of language input, which made the learning process both practical and engaging. The classroom atmosphere was equally motivating, with like-minded classmates who were passionate about diving deeper into language learning.
Over the course of 2 years, I was lucky to learn with different Lexical Lab instructors,like Margot van der Doelen, Luis Pedreira, Andrew Walkley and of course Hugh Dellar. All of them were knowledgeable professionals from diverse backgrounds, each dedicated to helping students achieve the best learning outcomes. I particularly appreciated the engaging discussions and meaningful homework assignments that reinforced the lessons. The course fostered a sense of shared responsibility for learning, which kept everyone invested in their progress.
Flexibility was another huge plus - I could choose my teacher and time slot, with a variety of schedules available to fit different needs. Overall, the lessons of advanced English provided a well-rounded and enriching learning experience that I highly recommend to anyone serious about language mastery, whether you are a language instructor yourself or a really dedicated and passionate learner, willing to take your English to the next level.

I've taken a few courses at Lexicallab. The lessons were engaging and focused on practical, real-life language use. Hugh, Andrew, Margot made the courses fun and interactive, always encouraging us to use our new phrases in context. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to enrich their English vocabulary.

Great lessons at an advanced level - you get tons of vocab before the classes and then you practise using it in the class!

I took a course from Margot in 2023 and a combined one from Andrew&Hugh in 2024. Absolutely loved the authentic videos for discussions and the amount of the vocabulary given at both of them.

The best way to keep in touch with the language that is actually being used in the UK. The lessons are interesting, entertaining and challenging.

Online English classes with Lexicallab exceeded my expectations. As an English teacher, I lacked a natural English-speaking environment to maintain and improve my language fluency. At some point, most of my teaching groups were elementary to intermediate and weekly classes with Lexicallab were not only a source to keep the advanced speaking skills and learn new advanced vocab, but also a good example of how to prepare and manage your lessons as a teacher. I've been at many workshops with Hugh Dellar, and the last one was offline in Kyiv! The dynamic and the energy at such events are always great. Hugh Dellat is a great speaker and a teacher trainer!

I really enjoyed the ADVANCED conversation class with Lexical Lab. It gave me great didactic ideas and teaching materials for my own work as a language teacher. I also liked sharing ideas about a wide range of topics with students from other parts of the world and receiving valuable lexical input from the teacher, tailored to what we'd been discussing in pairs or threes in the breakout rooms.
I loved the flipped classroom format and preparing for the lesson with the material I had been sent. Always love a challenge! It allowed me to dive deep into the topic and relevant vocabulary before class. This made the in-class discussions more interesting and lexically richer, I think, than spontaneous, unprepared conversations.
I also appreciated not having to take notes during the lesson. The teacher provided us with a summary of interesting expressions that had come up in the class, complete in readily usable sentences with context, plus additional lexical input. These included lexical chunks that are really useful, applicable in various situations. That was a big plus.
All fellow students were non-native English teachers at a very advanced level (C1+) and we were all fluent. Nevertheless, the teacher always spotted areas for improvement and gave input that helped us express ourselves more precisely and with greater nuance - all in a friendly and engaging way.
I also liked how the teacher made every topic relatable, even those I wasn't particularly keen on, by exploring them from various angles and treating everyone with respect.
I can highly recommend these classes!!
