A good place to start and a good place to excel
I have been on Duolingo for 3 years, and I was getting frustrated because of the lack of grammatical explanations . It is also impossible to speak with anyone with questions of any kind at the Duo website. Duo is good for what it does, but I really wanted to challenge myself to go to the next level. Alexa is an effective and engaging teacher, I am so glad I found her. The office support staff has been very responsive and helpful also.

I had studied French in high school &…
I had studied French in high school & college and I wanted to re-learn French grammar and verb tenses so I could be confident in using my long ago-learned French. The Learn French with Alexa was perfect for my goals. I was particularly benefited by the additional modules that “forced” me to utilize each lesson’s instruction. I would strongly recommend this format from Alexa for anyone who is searching to (re)learn a second language.

That lady is an excellent teacher
That lady (Alexa) is an excellent teacher. I have taken other classes but I find her the most organized in the way lessons are presented, fun, engaging. I also have a tutor but honestly I could just use Alexa. Now I’m going to sign up for conversation class. Also I am OLD and it’s hard to learn languages at age 70 so I’m impressed that the program works so well for me!

Highly recommended
I love this course so far. It feels like I am attending a real class because of the friendly, fun and also professional way that Alexa teaches. If I were to ask for any improvement it would be to include more dictation options from the start. But overall this is an incredibly well structured, fun and motivating course. Thank you!

The best place to learn french for Native English Speakers.
I like the fact that things are explained in english and then taught in french. For me, understanding the concept of a French word in English( as an English speaker) has helped me alot in making tremendous progress in my written and spoken French. Thank you Alexa you are the best...

Simple process
Simple process; just don't get confused... the password requested is for your new "Learn French with Alexa" account, not for your email. Also after payment, it is not clear that the transaction was ended successfully, first it said "there was a problem" and immediately after a strange message "No issues with subscription to Yearly EU 2023" but it all appears to be working fine so I am looking forward to start learning!!! :)

Bonjour!
Thank you for your review and for sharing this, it’s really helpful.
You’re right about the password step. It can be a bit confusing, as it’s asking you to create a new LFWA account password, not the one for your email. We’ll work on making that clearer.
The mixed messages after payment can happen if the page refreshes too quickly, but your subscription went through correctly, so you’re all set.
If anything looks odd or you need a hand getting started, just let us know. Enjoy the course, and happy learning! :)
