Historical place but very risky due to smoke and traffic

I’ve been going to my Lahores for over 10 years, but my experience on 8th November at 7 o’clock was honestly one of the worst I’ve ever had. The food quality, taste, and service have completely changed
I strongly feel like they’ve changed the chef and staff, because everything was far below the usual standard.

Firstly, the food had absolutely no taste. The fish was slightly off and had no flavour at all. The chicken legs, chicken tikka, and kebabs all tasted exactly the same completely bland and the kebabs even had an odd smell. The lamb chops were the only item that tasted okay, but everything else was very disappointing.

I also ordered a chicken panini alongside a mixed grill, and the panini was half empty. After taking three or four bites, I noticed that the back portion around three inches was completely empty, just bread with no chicken filling at all. When I spoke to one of the staff members about it, I was told, “That’s because it’s bread.” That response was dismissive and unprofessional. When customers pay for a full chicken panini, they expect it to be properly filled, not half empty.

To make things worse, when my food was served, there were no sauces, no mint sauce, no chilli sauce, no tissues, and not even any plates on the table. I had to call the waitress and ask, “Where are my sauces and plates?” which was really frustrating and unacceptable, especially in a restaurant that used to have excellent service.

It was also my sister’s birthday, and I had informed one of the waitresses in advance to bring out the cake with a sparkler to make it special. Instead, they brought the cake without the sparkler, placed it on the table with the ice cream, and just walked away. I had to remind them again, and after making us wait for about five minutes, they finally brought the sparkler — already lit and bent and stuck it straight into the ice cream while it was still burning. The sparkler was tilted, and it could have easily fallen on me or my sister, which could have burnt our hair. It was not only careless but very dangerous.

By then, the ice cream had completely melted, and what should have been a special moment turned into a total embarrassment. They ruined my sister’s birthday and made me feel so uncomfortable and embarrassed in front of my guests.

I paid £88.40 for this meal, and I feel completely let down. The food was tasteless, the service was careless, and the overall experience was terrible from start to finish. I am not happy at all and would like a refund for this awful experience.

Ordering was easy but can't say much about the food! Chicken byrani had chicken pieces which were hard! No taste either! Casva was hard as rock! Really appoling. Chicken khari must have used old chicken really diabolical. Never again be back 😭

Great travel destination, cheap hotels, cheap transport, friendly people, great food options, museums, zoo and modern shopping centres and entertainment venues, plus the added bonus of the historical sites including gated city, Lahore Fort, Minare Pakistan and Bahshi Masjid.
