VAT paid in Australia, international shipment
Asked about VAT paid in Australia, regarding the item shipped to Slovenia, Europe, where I had to pay another VAT. I got a very polite answer, but it was vaguely formulated.
My understanding is that the Australian VAT is always paid - no matter where the item is shipped. This is wrong, it needs to be systematically corrected in future.
OTHER: Blinder light is magnificent! Do like it! The bell also, the rear light too. Thank you, Knog, :-)

Been over a week and I still don't have a return label and the return process has not even started. This is with ticket 38033.
Purchased a $45 bike bell from this site, size large as instructed for my type of bike per their website. Turns out their website was incorrect and the size large was too large. ok lets process an exchange.
I learn there is no formal exchange or return process, you must email them a picture of your receipt and all info and wait for them to respond, which has proven to be a ridiculous waste of resources on both ends here. Its been over a week. I have had to follow-up with the support agent two separate times to just get a response and every time it takes another 24 hours to hear back. The first one, after waiting 3-4 days they said I should try to re-install it again to verify that I WANT TO EXCHANGE IT. what the hell?
Its been a week, the representative has stopped responding after saying he would attach a return label which he didnt do. Its now Friday again, assuming I wont get a response til Monday at best. Super frustrating experience all around. Your website is wrongly recommending sizes. Your return process is ridiculous, why do I have to reach out to support and go back in forth with them to justify my return? If I dont hear back in 24 hours I am filing a chargeback on my credit card.

The documentation for these lights is woefully inadequate. But the lights are good.
The documentation for these lights is stunningly inadequate. Their customer service, though, is outstanding. With better documentation, I might never have had to involve customer service.
Even basic information about how to charge the lights required intervention from their Customer Service team.
The lights themselves are now performing as expected. Multiple setting options. Easy to configure and use (once Customer Service explains how to do it).
I might recommend these to someone else - but only because I could lead them through the (unnecessary) labyrinth of the set-up process.

I mistakenly ordered the light thru the AUS website but live in the US. After receiving my light, I didn’t like the setup on my bike so want to return it. The shipping rates are cost prohibitive (cost more than the light is worth) so it doesn’t make sense.
I asked customer service if I could return it to their US location (which is free return shipping) and they denied my request, even though the light has never been used and is in perfect condition. This makes
NO sense considering both locations
sell the same light.
I realize I’m the one who made the initial mistake but I think it is terrible customer service given there is a viable option for me to make my return.
Disappointed in Knog’s unwillingness to compromise on this issue.

Knog has great products AND great customer service. I lost the locking clasp for the rear bike light. Bridg from Knog customer service shipped out two replacements pronto, and for free!

Knog - A Company that Stands By It's Warranty
Hi, this is a review from the UK. My Knog Plus rear light (and mounting bracket) fell off the bike somewhere during a recent ride - must have been due to the rubber loop fastening snapping or perishing. I got no joy from the retailer, so I took what I thought was a long shot and contacted Knog AU directly, to make a claim under the 2 year warranty. I was really chuffed to get a quick reply, telling me that a replacement had been posted and will likely arrive in a few weeks. So full marks to Knog for standing by your warranty, and particular thanks to Bridg and the team for your great service. Based on this experience, I'll definitely be buying Knog products again. Cheers Guys!

Through my own confusion I inadvertently purchased the Blinder V Rear Bike Light with a "traffic" flash pattern instead of the "bolt" flash pattern I really wanted. Thinking I'd been duped, I left a very bad review of the light. Luckily for me James Applegate from Knog reached out and not only very kindly explained my mistake but also offered me a full refund and sent me a free return shipping label to boot. 10/10, thank you James and everyone at the Knog team for offering up such unparalleled service. Have reordered the correct flash pattern I really wanted and am very pumped!

Faulty Light replaced without hassle
Have a twin pack of Knog bike lights - the front one has been a bit iffy for a while so I contacted Knog - they gave me some clear instructions to rectify the fault and it did work, but only for a couple of days. - I then explained the situation and they sent me a replacement straight away - very happy with the service I received.

Was ready to place an order online after clicking a 15% first time customer discount. The discount code did not appear during checkout. (insert expletives here)! I left the items in my cart and registered as a customer thinking that might be the issue. No luck. Email contacted customer service, but as it was a weekend… no response. Decided to order anyway since I needed the illumination. Two hours after ordering an email arrived with an even better discount! (insert more expletives here) Emailed again, provided order # and was able to get the discount refunded! Above and beyond. Thanks CS agent Bridg and Knog!
First class customer service
I purchased a rear light that broke shortly after starting to use it. The Knog team took this very seriously and resolved my issue quickly and effectively. Particular shout out to James for keeping me as a return customer. A once-off product defect was quickly forgotten and replaced with a great product.
Knog Scout, great little product
I bought a Knog Scout and cannot get the firmware updated. I opened 2 support tickets, tried online chat, and called Knog in Australia several times, never a response. The product seems ok but their customer service sucks.
Got a response with a suggestion to try, that I hadn't previously. I'll post an update later
I REVISED MY RATING FROM 1 TO 4. After exchanging messages with tech support, Knog was able to resolve my issue. The product is working great and I'm a happy cyclist

5 cent piece snapped, 100$ lamp ready for the bin
Hm. A crack in the mounting clip, and my Blinder Road can't be attached to the handlebar any more. A pity. And nothing the company can do as the warranty has expired. Apart from encouraging me to try and glue the piece.
I understand that the maker cannot make ends meet if they go on forever fixing broken products. But for an oldfashioned guy like me, it hurts to see that due to a snapped 5 cent plastic part, my 100 $ bike light is practically unusable.
Guess it is time to find a light where the holding mechanism can be swapped when broken. I simply cannot afford to purchase a new light just because a minor part buckles under mechanical stress.
Still, at least the correspondence with the company representative was friendly enough.
