Summary - EXCELLENT!!!

I decided to get 3 of my most used Global Knives sharpened, as they had literally lost their edge over time. I checked for suppliers and saw that Knife Sharp had some good reviews and so decided to use them.

From the ease of ordering to the great packaging that was sent, very quickly, the whole process was simple.

On receipt of my knives back… just WOW!!

I’d forgotten how sharp these knives are supposed to be. I have even left them in the cardboard sleeves to prevent any accidents they are that sharp.

I will def be back with more.

If you need your knives sharpened, give these guys a go. You won’t be disappointed.

In every way sharp, sharp in fast service, sharp in cutting edge way. Very satisfied and have used Knife Sharp more than once for my Global Knives as I know they will be done quickly so I am not without them for long and they always do an amazing job.

Blunt knives are incredibly dangerous, so we use the Knife Sharp subscription service to keep ours sharp. It's so convenient to have a mailing box arrive a couple of times a year, without having to remember to schedule it. We drop the knives off, and within a week, receive them back, beautifully sharpened. Super convenient, we're kept informed every step of the way, and the knives come back ready for safe use. Highly recommend.

Four Days. Amazing service. Knife Sharp sent the collection/ delivery box Monday, I received it Tuesday and returned it the same day. Knife Sharp received it Wednesday and returned to me the same day and I've just received my sharpened knives back. What a pleasure to have a sharp knife again!! Tried all the usual methods to get my favourite Global knife sharp and it was never enough, sent it to knife sharp and within a couple of days it was back and tomatoes were no challenge anymore.

I own a set of Wusthof knives and despite using an official Wusthof sharpener, they were getting a bit dull and I couldn't get them as sharp anymore. I live in a rural area so, while there are some in person sharpening services, they are all a few hours drive from where I live. The Knife Sharp service was therefore fantastic, as I was able to simply have them collected from my doorstep and delivered back a few days later. Excellent, easy, high quality service. And for such an expensive set of knives, I thought the price was good value for money.

I went to Hotel Management school in 1977. Within the course you do a basic chef’s course - everyone needs a fundamental understanding of how to prepare food (and we were warned that there’ll be a shift when the head chef turns up hammered…well it was the 70s). We all had to buy a set of proper, expensive (they seemed so in 1977) chef’s knives. Large and small sabatiers, filleting knife, steel etc - all packed up in a canvas roll. Run the clock forward a bit to 1988…recently married…house in the country….new wife left alone, whilst I worked a night shift….generally a bit terrified…the bedroom door had a lock and key dangling from it. It was one of these locks that was never used, overpainted and pretty unmovable. What she needed was something to lever the key - something long with a pointy end. Get that door locked so she’ll be safe. Yes you’ve guessed it - she thought my 12 inch Swiss made sabatier would fit the bill and used the tip to insert in to the key and muscle it free. It didn’t work, and she returned the knife to the drawer. My precious knife now had a concertina nose and looked truly miserable. Imagine towing Concorde in to a brick wall. It had been dropped a few times since then too. Anyhow, sent three knives to the team at Knife Sharp and they came back better than new. I’m sure they weren’t that sharp when I bought them all those years ago. They also gently change the knife’s profile when necessary. True professionals - not expensive for the work done. Treat yourselves to a knife sharpening - it lifts the spirits. More accidents happen through dull, blunt knives. I was blown away by the speed and the quality of the service. I posted the knives on Monday and got them back on Friday. My 3 Global knives, including a bread knife, are like new

Decent bevel , its two months since it was done . I waited to see how it worked out, and its ok . The knives are still sharp and they are used in a clumsy heavy way by me.. I would have preferred a softer graduated bevel but what do i know. What i can say is they came back sharp and are still sharp and thats with every day use on a metal board.. so i will use them again and recommend them.. I sent three global knives about 20 years old and this is the first pro sharpening.. Im happy

We bought an expensive set of Zwilling knives a few years ago, together with a block that had a honing facility that kept the knives sharp.
But after a few years the knives eventually dulled so we found this company and took a chance.

The process was simple and the turnaround was impressive. First impressions are that our knives have been given a new lease of life. They are at least as sharp as they were when we first bought them.

Really good and slick service with a well thought out and easy postal/delivery process that make the entire service super convenient. Fast and professional turnaround and simple to use. This business is Excellent.

I have a set of I O Shen knives that are about 15 years old and haven’t been used much in a good while as I’d replaced them with a set of Global’s. I came across knife sharp looking for a service to have the Shens re-edged and brought back to life and I’m glad I did. It was a really easy process to follow - the box was sent out to package the knives in and post back and they were returned to me very quickly and completely reinvigorated. I’m really happy with the result and they blow the global’s away in their current shape. I’d definitely use the service again and would recommend to anyone who has knives that aren’t what they used to be.

Highly recommend - the service was fantastic. The instructions were easy to understand, everything I needed was in the package. The turnaround time was so speedy!

We received 1st class service from the point of order to the point that the knives were very quickly returned. They are like new, so sharp and one that was damaged (had a small nick in it) is now perfect! Can’t fault the service in any way.

I had some 10 year old knives which were expensive when new but had lost their edge over the years. They have come back great. They came back quickly and I’m very happy. I had tried various home sharpeners and while I think those can maintain a good edge they weren’t up to the job of regrinding a knife that had gone far past its best. I’ll be using the service on other knives I have.
