After long drawn out experience with slow response times we were in a position to compete the transaction but the firm failed to account for the funds they held and Victoria Bush, who knew the matter was urgent, was not availabe for the lunch hour (the office closes for lunch!!!) and then she went home at 4pm, with no back up and no other member of staff availabe to help.

They were awful! Don't use them!!! They neglected to tell me about a 6 month wait on using deposit money until after I paid the £250 deposit. Then when I had to cancel because of it they charged me £240 for 9 emails. Crooks if you ask me!

They are helpful until something goes......

I used Kew Law for a previous matter, and they were super helpful at the time. Now that I look to sell the Property, a few concerns have been raised by my latest Solicitor and when trying to contact Kew Law they simply do not reply.

I have been waiting over 45 days for a reply to the Complaint that I have submitted.

Kew Law have failed to even acknowledge my right to know request under GDPR - do not trust this company with your data, as they cannot even reply to an email.

More recently in trying to resolve this matter, I spoke to a helpful chap at Kew Law Chelmsford, so it may just be two bad branches (Witham, Colchester) that have led to my extremely negative experience.

I've used Kew Law 4 times over the last few years. I have always found them to be helpful and patient with my endless questions. They have never failed to respond to an email or phone call. I felt they were very diligent in their duties and would be confident in using their services in the future. Jayne E.

I would not recommend instructing Kew Law for shared ownership and new build conveyance.
I personally found it difficult (most of the time) to speak to anyone about my case and I would have to chase a lot in order to get most updates on the progress.
I felt that the information I received at times was conflicting. I was unable to proceed with the purchase of the house with Kew Law due to, from my understanding from how it was explained to me, issues with the land registry title.
Before informing me of this however, a day prior of the intended exchange and completion, I was sent a financial statement- to send my deposit to Kew Law. I was only told they were unhappy to proceed until after the money had been sent to them- inevitably this was extremely upsetting for me and the entire process caused me significant stress.
However, I later instructed another solicitor, whom I managed to exchange and complete with on the same property...

Exceptional service, sold a leasehold property with Jessica acting for me. Very proactive and efficient.

We wanted to put in place 2 new wills and made an appointment to see Robert at Wickford. All was excellent great service sound advice and all completed in 2 weeks. Excellent!!

I approached Kew Law in Benfleet to represent me in a transfer of equity and Victoria took my case. Unfortunately, the other party had engaged another branch of Kew Law to represent them and so I had to find another solicitor. However, Victoria was incredibly helpful, easily contactable and very professional in all dealings we had. I absolutely would recommend them to anyone looking for conveyancing services.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

They are charging £10 for sending you an email and they don't get things done. Very outdated, old fashioned, be ready to print & scan every single documents, not very environment friendly. 6 months went by and they still haven't completed the purchase, they failed to notify me of the issues but they are charging £10 for emails when I was chasing them up if they get work done. It is ridiculous and they will rip you off!!

Kew law halstead have been very friendly and professional dealing with flat sale. Answered questions and queries quickly and efficiently. Kept us updated on progress of sale regularly. Michelle and Natasha made the experience stress free. Would definitely use again and recommend.

Alice Walder was asked to draft a letter to employers 14 days ago, I've paid etc but today been told she will not do the letter, she had understood the matters involved so why wait 14 days to tell me or even send questions regarding the contents, contact has asked other questions, just not relevant ones

Repayment of Help to buy a loan that was an absolute disaster, we provided all details upfront about where the money comes from and after a couple of days in the process they told us they can't deal with money from the EU due to their own money laundering rules.
What an incompetent bunch, only spoke to the trainee solicitor as the solicitor was not willing to work with us after 2 weeks of wasted time we decided to work with a proper law firm. Shambolic service !!

COWBOYS ,CANT BELIEVE THESE PEOPLE GET GOOD REVIEWS , RANG THEM FEW TIMES AFTER THE 3RD ATTEMPT SPOKE TO COLLIN FOR A LITIGATION CASE ON THE 25th OCT AFTER SPEAKING TO HIM SENT AN EMAIL'S AND RANG COLLIN AGAIN ON THE 26TH OCTOBER SPOKE TO HIM, HE SAID HE WILL GET BACK

AFTER MY SECOND CONVERSATION HE WAS MORE CONCERNED OF THE £300/- FEE THAT I NEED TO GIVE UPFRONT TO WICH I AGREED AND SAID NO PROBLEM DROP ME A EMAIL WITH THE DETAILS AND ILL PAY THIS

INSPITE OF THIS COLLIN NEVER GOT BACK TO ME TODAY IS
THE 10th NOVEMBER , FOR A SOLICITOR'S FIRM I THINK THIS IS QUITE APPAULING, IF COLLIN COULD NOT DEAL WITH MY CASE HE DID NOT HAVE THE DECENCY TO GET BACK TO ME INSPITE OF ME SPEAKING TO HIM ON COUPLE OF OCCASIONS
AND EMAILING HIM

KEEP AWAY FROM KEW LAW SOLICITORS WONT RECCOMEND THEM TO ANYONE

Through a long messy drawn out case Laura Smith acted well on our behalf.

At times I was frustrated and she explained things and although she’s very regimented in her way of doing things I would look back and say that’s a good solicitor for you.

Seriously her paralegal team worked well and I had complete faith in Laura she really did not back down and acted with integrity. The fees even though more than initially more than first outlined were both fair and justified.

In the end I really felt supported when in the lions den with good advise and in retrospect I can now be assured we were well protected.

Kew law avoid at all costs trying to sort out my mums estate, they just don’t answer any solicitor letters, please please stay away from this company, really should be reported.

I use Kew Law at Braintree for quite a few different requirements. Danielle has been very professional, helpful and focused on getting the job done. Highly recommend.

Lease Extension enquiry: 1) Cannot answer the simplest of questions that other solicitors I was looking at could answer like "can you give me a vague idea of valuation costs". 2) Quoted their price based on hours rather than a fixed amount. 3) Quoted informal route nearly same price as the formal route (which is half the work!). 3) would not give me an estimated lease cost until I asked them multiple times.

Used this solicitors firm when my Mum passed away and my sister omitted me when handling her estate to cheat me out of my inheritance. I was assigned Jennifer Hardy of the Hadleigh branch to represent me. An appointment was set up for me at 10:00am on the 22nd June 2021 and I had to pay £243.60 before the meeting. On the morning of the meeting I arrived early at 09:45am and I was told by the staff working there after speaking to Jennifer that she was with a client and we were too early so come back at 10:00am. We came back at 10:00am only to be told by another staff member that Jennifer said she was still with another client. The staff member told us to wait across the road on a bench seat outside a public toilet (In the rain) until she was free (This was at 10:15am - 15 minutes late). I said I was not happy with this treatment of me as a client and requested my payment of £243.60 to be cancelled and returned to me. On the 12th July 2021, I received a letter that included an invoice for £183.60. This included £180.00 for "Care and conduct throughout" and £3.60 for a copy of a 'Land Registry'. I was informed that I was to receive a partial repayment of £60.00? The meeting never took place. "She was with another client running late by then for 15 minutes". We never even entered into the building yet we were charged £180.00? Total extortion. Avoid at all costs. Not recommended.
