I made a very large purchase. I was ghosted by their customer support. Incredible.

My original email to support:
I really wanted to love the Cadence containers. However, I am very disappointed.
Most importantly, I am very concerned about the material the containers are made with. There is evidence of it leaching into my products.
As you can see from the attached photo, my (very expensive) tinted sunscreen was turned black after storing it in the container.
Separately, in each use (even with use of the attachments) the liquids pour out and onto the outer lid threading and then pool around the edge of the container. Because of this they then land there and on the edge of the lid when reattached to the container. This creates a huge mess and clean-up time with each use.
None of this happens with the silicone containers I used to use.
My purchases were over 30 days ago, however, given all of this, I think it would be best if I were allowed a refund for my large purchase.

Support’s reply:
We have seen this on a few rare occasions when the product being stored contains iron oxides (an ingredient with traces of heavy metals in it).

Iron oxides are used in makeup products to create various shades and hues for different skin tones. When those metals are placed near anything magnetic, like your Capsule, they become separated from the formula. The best fix is to gently shake the Capsule to remix the iron oxides back into the rest of the formula.

I know it can be extremely alarming to see - I want to reassure you that it's not harmful to your health. We made Cadence intending to be as universal as possible, and I am sorry for this less-than-perfect experience. If you would like, I am more than happy to send a new Tile to repurpose the capsule for another product - just let me know xx

I don't feel I am being heard.
I asked that I am able to return the items purchased for the reasons stated. The reasons previously stated go beyond the discoloration issue.
Please provide a shipping label and instructions.

These are extremely expensive to purchase and ship internationally, so I had high expectations.

Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. I contacted customer service because the Pour Adapter would not work properly with my Large Capsule (using the Extender). I was told it is only compatible with the Medium Capsule. However, the product page states it works with the Small, Medium and Large Capsules, and the promotional videos also appear to show it being used with the Large Capsule.

On my product, the lid does not screw down flush, making it unusable for the purpose I purchased it for. Based on the information on the website, I feel the product description is misleading

To make matters worse, customer service took more than two weeks to respond, and after I questioned the inconsistency between their response and the information on their website, I have still not received an answer

Given the premium price and significant international shipping costs, this experience has been extremely disappointing. Customer service is non existent just buy a cheap silicone set and your expectations will be met.

Apparently their website won't accept negative reviews. I have tried twice and received an error trying to use one star. I didn't get my entire order. The system doesn't function as advertised (small capsules do *not* connect horizontally, undermining snap-together magnetic organization that's supposed to be a key feature of their product). Two AI systems report that the small capsules do connect, likely because of deceptive advertising practices that show even the small capsules appearing to snap together with the larger capsules (including a photo in the product description for the small capsule on their website). Be sure to read the fine print to find accurate information. I have screenshots and screen recordings. The company says my email account rejects their replies, but I'm still getting email from them. I offered them my direct phone number, and tried to continue messaging via social media: no reply.

These capsules are ridiculously overpriced and crack/leak. I bought the first generation capsules in 2021, and in less than a year, they started to crack on their own. I was able to get a replacement sent, along with a complimentary capsule for the inconvenience. A few years later, the replacement capsules started to crack. I emailed customer service for a replacement, and I was advised that the first generation capsules were retired. The second generation capsules include .56 capsules (the same as the first gen), but the shape has been changed to be wider with a low shaft. There’s also now a medium sized capsule and an extender to modify capsules into a large. I absolutely hate the new capsules for the .56 size, and the second gen capsules are more expensive.

When I tried to replace the second batch that cracked, instead of just sending me the replacement like before, Cadence sent a digital gift card for me to purchase a new set online. The problem with this is instead of replacing my 5 defective capsules, I had to purchase a new set at a higher price point, which meant my gift card did not have enough to replace 5 capsules, I could only replace 4, and that was only because of a Labor Day sale taking place that had a more reduced price point. In addition, I had to pay a sales tax, which doesn’t make sense because I already paid taxes with my initial order. Why am I responsible for tax to replace defective items?! I went back and forth with customer service about this, and they agreed to send me an additional small capsule free of charge. Not only did my replacement take almost 2 weeks to get processed, but the additional capsule that was promised wasn’t included with my package. I’ve been trying to email with the person that processed the exchange, but I have not received a response.

Do not buy from Cadence, they sell a defective product that they know is going to crack, hence why there is a lifetime warranty. They agreed to send me an additional capsule, reneged that offer, and I had to argue with them to uphold their original agreement, only for them not to send it. They are liars and greedy. Don’t waste your money, go find dupes. I hate this company so much now. There’s no customer service number or corporate number, so you have no choice but communicate via email. Responses can take 1-4 business days. For the amount these capsules cost, I expect to speak with a live person should an issue arise.

I spoke with Nate, the original customer rep that agreed to send a free additional capsule, and May, who I’m assuming is a supervisor (and the person trying to renege Nate’s offer). I contacted customer service on 5/19….why has this ordeal taken almost a month?!

The capsules leak!! Customer service has sent replacement capsules free of charge, they all leak (shampoo). They are also heavy. They are not worth the money.

Customer service is non existent. I have emailed multiple times over a 3 week period and no response. So disappointing, this is an expensive product. Cadence if you see this - please reply to me!

I’ve purchased 3 different sets of capsules and just as I’m getting ready to pack for my trip I notice one of them is completely broken. I looked into the rest and there’s many other that are cracked . I’m super upset I thought I had purchased a quality product, I had loved these and recommended them to all my friends and family and now I’m stressing out about packing.

From the packaging to the quality of the product. The capsules come in amazing colors that are extremely helpful, Makes organizing last minute trips super easy!

This is the most creative thing I've seen in a long time. I can actually use so many different things. Space saving products for travel too

Cadence has been so useful for travel and I love that the containers are reusable and eco friendly with recycled plastic! I was kind of on the fence at first, but after trying them I'm giving them to my mom and friends for Christmas!

I ordered a complete set of their Travel parcels for my fiancé, she absolutely loves them. It’s always difficult for me to find her a gift she will actually use. These bags were a definite win!

These products are worth every penny. The quality of the capsules is top of the market. I bought a few of these and I believe will never need to buy any other. Try them out.

I purchased the medium parcel (TSA approved one) and I LOVE it! I’ve been using it as my everyday bag I add to my bigger purse. It holds my charger, wallet, lip gloss, chapstick , pens etc. I got the chocolate color which is gorgeous. The parcel is super sturdy. I had the sharpest pencil in it and it didn’t tear the bag. I am sold on this product!!

I've had the Capsules for about a year now and as someone that travels every month, they have been absolutely game changing for me. I have a strict skincare routine and I used to get terrible breakouts when travelling because I could never fit all my steps in my suitcase but the Capsules have totally solved this! I also recently started using them to organize my morning and night supplements and I am finally staying on track.

I’m a mom of two, and Cadence has seriously made staying organized sooooo much easier. Snack crumbs at the bottom of my bag? Not anymore thanks to the Parcel. And my foundation leaking everywhere? The Capsules fixed that.

I actually enjoy packing my diaper bag now. I color-code everything by kid (and for me), and it makes getting out the door way less chaotic. I also keep an XL Parcel of kid essentials in the car, plus individual Capsules for each girl in my diaper bag that goes with me everywhere.

I can’t tell you how many times having everything organized and with me has saved us from a meltdown or accident (IYKYK). If you’re a mom, these are GAME CHANGING.

I have used my capsules for years now making my trips to the gym and vacations so much easier — I no longer dread packing my beauty products like I used to. The parcels have been a game changer, I use different size parcels from ones I carry in my purse every day, to ones for my gym bag and then those for larger trips that go into my suitcase. Also when possible now, I often fly without checking a bag as I can bring everything I need in my TSA approved capsules and quart sized clear bag. I love this brand and customer service has been exceptional when helping me troubleshoot some issues.

Been using the Parcel as my go-to small travel kit bag for awhile now. I had the clear one originally for a dopp kit along with several medium capsules for product. Easily can take enough with me for a week and I’ve never had a leaking issue. I also now have a canvas one that I use for electronics. Works great as a way to keep all the charging cables and my kindle together in the carry on.

Used Cadence for a work trip and I was blown away. I got the full discovery set and this is one of those products that I don't know how I was traveling before.
No leaks!
