I wholeheartedly recommend K9 Control to anyone in need of their services, and I can confidently attest to Rob's exemplary professionalism, friendliness, and proactive attitude.

I took my dog George for his first session with Rob today and immediately it was like he is a different dog. Rob is so knowledgeable and straight forward. George behaved like a completely different dog immediately and I am finally confident that his life will become less stressful and more enriched with Rob’s input. I highly recommend Rob as a trainer for any reactive dog. I cannot put into words how grateful and optimistic I feel after this session and look forward to the coming weeks. We have had 3 sessions with Rob so far and we are blown away by the difference in our dog!

Nova is a 14 month old staffy cross who we rescued when she was 4 months old. We had been to 3 trainers before Rob to try and help us with loose lead, her prey drive and her reactivity around dogs, all of which failed. Rob was our last option as we had spent a small fortune at this point!

Within 5 minutes of our first session, Nova was walking to heel. Within half an hour of our second session, Nova was walking past Rob’s dogs without any reaction. She has continued to do so when putting everything into practice at home and quite frankly, we are both gobsmacked at the difference in her in just 2 weeks!

We are tackling prey drive and hoping to get her off lead within the next few weeks, which we would never have imagined happening before we met Rob. He is so patient and incredible at explaining what he’s doing and why he’s doing it, which helps us to improve as her owners. Using his own dogs in the sessions makes a massive difference too.

We’re so excited for our sessions each week and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Rob to anyone that is struggling with their dog. He truly can work with any dog, no matter how bad!

There are many reasons why Tom and I like Rob so much and what he is doing. But the stand out feature for us is the no frills and how straight talking Rob is.

Our dog probably isn’t the worst case he’s ever seen but he treats our dog with such compassion and like she is one of his own. We’ve followed what Rob taught us back in the park, at home and when we are out and it’s made a significant difference to how our dog interacts with other dogs as well as how she walks on a lead.

If you are looking for a dog trainer who is passionate, will get you results and genuinely cares about your dog and you - you’ve found the right man. He has a brilliant team surrounding him, Tim is also a knowledgeable man who adds so much value to training sessions along with their pack of dogs.

We have a 2-year-old Cane Corso, called Nero and have had him since he was 10 weeks old. We initially went to puppy classes to try to make sure he became a well-rounded dog but despite this, he is dog reactive. He has never been bitten by another dog or ever bitten another dog, but he will lunge towards other dogs if they get too close and it’s hard to know what his intentions are.

Nero has weighed about 55kg since he was 18 months, and he is very strong. Due to his reactivity we got to the stage where my wife was no longer able to walk him on her own, as it just wasn’t safe.

We decided to take him to further classes and we also did some 1-2-1 sessions with the trainer. However, they were a positive only trainer and the main way of preventing the reactivity was to feed treats to distract or keep distance and avoid other dogs. We quickly realised this wasn’t going to work as Nero will not eat when stressed, and you can’t always avoid other dogs in every situation.

We knew we needed help and decided the way forward was a balanced trainer. We found a trainer who worked with large breeds and thought this would be ideal for us. However, this trainer’s method was to meet up at a public place where there were plenty of dogs and attempt to walk past them and correct the reactivity when it showed. The trainer never offered to demonstrate this hands on themselves near another dog and never offered to use their dogs in any training. We felt this was dangerous and that something was likely to go wrong and decided not to take the training any further.

Thankfully, we found K9 Control, Rob and his team of brilliant trainers. Firstly, Rob offers a controlled and safe environment where he can assess and work with your dog. The team is also non-judgemental, makes you feel at ease and provides straight forward, honest advice and observations.

Rob is happy to be hands on and able to take command of the most stubborn, strong breeds and show them who’s boss, which we’ve seen first-hand. He’ll explain the methods, reasoning and demonstrate the techniques to best handle your dog. He also has fantastic well-trained dogs that he will use around your dog to help them grow in confidence.

When Rob feels your dog is ready, you can join his pack walks which are great for allowing your dog to be around other dogs, in a controlled way. We’ve only been to 3 sessions with Rob so far and 2 pack walks but we 100% feel we are on the right path and can see improvements in Nero’s behaviour already.

We cannot thank Rob and his team enough and we’re looking forward to having a well-behaved, relaxed dog!!!

Absolutely amazing trainer.
Rob came very highly recommended to me and it’s been the best decision I’ve made for me and my German shepherd.
I came to rob at breaking point. I’d recently rehomed what I thought was a lovely trained dog but she turned out to be very reactive to dogs and people. Rob has been a god send and has helped me and my dog massively so far, we still have a bit of work to go but the rate of progress is unbelievable. There isn’t a dog rob can’t fix. He’s realistic and honest and really cares about both owner and dogs.

What a find!! After many painful months of training with our GSD and spending a small fortune I was starting to give up hope, but then we found Rob. We have only been to see Rob twice and already Bodie is walking to our side, not reacting to other dogs. It has been a breath of fresh air!! Rob listens to us and has Tim with him and other dogs on hand to help with the training.

Absolutely! I wholeheartedly endorse K9 Control. Despite multiple dog trainers telling me that my springer couldn't be trained to walk properly, Rob and his team miraculously transformed her in just minutes. I was truly amazed at how effortlessly they made it seem. Their expertise is unparalleled, and I would enthusiastically suggest them to all my acquaintances.

We found K9 Control after experiencing aggression issues with our rescue pup. Having spent the last nearly 50 years working on the 'Positive Reinforcement' theory with all my dogs, I was initially very dubious of what methods Rob would use. My rescue pup is already 20kg and part Malinois, so we had to do something before he got too big to manage. Rob from K9 Control uses methods that are firm but are very fair and show clear boundaries, which is exactly what my boy needs.
Anything that I have questioned with Rob has always been answered without judgement, without arrogance, just factual knowledge that works.
Rob genuinely loves animals, he is very professional, yet extremely approachable, and most importantly my dog loves him!

Cannot recommend Rob highly enough, fantastic no BS trainer! We came to k9 control with my 1yr old Northern Inuit who was dog obsessed and lacked any manners, especially when it came to walks. I'd struggled with puppy classes and hadn't made any progress with him being reactive to other dogs, so was initially reserved about how much we would actually be able to accomplish but within 10mins of our initial session, Rob had Ekko walking to heel and watching him for the next command 😍 We've since had a couple more sessions and the change we've seen in Ekko is incredible. Almost overnight, he's gone from pulling on the lead and jumping at other dogs to walking loose lead, even along busy roads, and sitting patiently while other dogs run around. My only regret is we didn't find Rob sooner!

Highly recommend Rob and K9 Control. Took my reactive GSD for an initial assessment. What a difference after such a short time, we can now walk past dogs without my dog barking and lunging. Early days still but very encouraging with a big noticeable difference

I went to see Paul with my working line GSD who is a reactive on lead this Saturday and I must say the result we got within minutes were fantastic. Paul is a great trainer, firm but fair with real life scenarios so it prepares you for the real world. Will definitely be taking both my boys on a pack walk with K9 Control. Would highly recommend .

Without any shadow of doubt 'Rob' I'm sure is a werewolf in disguise!
Whilst experiencing some difficulties with our two dogs we were informed of the immediate transformation after receiving expertise and guidance from Rob.
After a few one to one lessons, our two dogs were ' as everyone' I'm sure wants ! a pleasure to walk and to meet other people with or without dogs an absolute pleasure.
His knowledge in reading a dogs body language and postures were breathtaking and insane !

We've seen Rob for about 2 months now; 5 one on one sessions and 2 pack walks and the difference he's made to our previously very high energy dog is amazing.
Stanley has always been too friendly for his own good and despite seeing a number of other trainers, walking with him wasn't fun for anyone. On the lead he'd tug and lunge at everything, and off the lead he was deaf to us and did whatever he wanted.
But having worked with Rob, he’s now a joy to walk and listens to us on or off the lead – it honestly feels like we’ve got our life back and that walking him isn’t a stressful chore. With Rob being a balanced trainer I especially had to adjust my thinking in terms of disciplining and being firmer with him – we’d previously stuck to positivity only methods which clearly weren’t working. Rob has always been very open and has taken time to explain things to us and move at our own pace, all while balancing fun for us and Stanley and his welfare. He is still a work in progress, but we now have a dog that respects us far more but importantly has retained his friendly, playful and cuddly personality.
A massive benefit to Rob’s offering is the Pack Walks – an organised 2 hours walk every fortnight, with his other clients. Essentially this is a gathering of dog owners all going through the same issues with some further along the journey than others. The structured exercises throughout the walk keep things interesting and Rob is always on hand to help out if needed. Talking and seeing other owners and dogs gave us hope and the confidence we needed as we begun Stanley’s training.
One on one sessions with Rob have also been great. They merge with the previous and next booking so we all help each other out and share what we learn whilst testing our dogs, all under the expert supervision of Rob. It really is a testament to him that other clients are happy to be ‘stooges’ to help others too.
I couldn’t recommend Rob more. It’s the best decision we’ve made for Stanley and ourselves, that I wish we’d tried years ago.

I reached out to Rob in absolute desperation after my rescue dog became very aggressive to both other dogs and people. I felt I'd been let down by other trainers and was at the point of considering euthanasia as I thought my dog was beyond help. After our first appointment I saw an unbelievable change in my dog. I have continued to work with Rob and I have seen my dog go from strength to strength, and watch her blossom before my very own eyes. She now enjoys life fully and I am so proud of her progress and achievements. 4 sessions in. Significantly less reactive dog, particularly when on lead with other dogs (last Saturday 15-20). Despite the beating he must have had in the past he's much more relaxed and trust has accelerated working with Rob. Today's session was potentially pushing him, off lead with game birds, squirrels and deer around. Returned on command once he started stalking with only occasional repetition. Finally a walk with 3 other dogs through same fields and woodland, no reactivity and towards end play engagement. Come a long way in short time. Nice one Rob 👍

I was extremely anxious before meeting Rob with my dog reactive GSD. He was completely non judgemental and spent so long explaining things to me and making sure I had ample time to practice what he taught me. I took my teenage daughter along and he was more than happy to show us both the techniques we needed to help my GSD.

My dog is an Eastern European rescue dog and most of her history is unknown. She has improved a lot over time but there was just this one more thing that I was having trouble with. She was fearful and very aggressive reactive. When my dog first met Rob, she was barking, snarling, and lunging at him - she took an instant dislike to him which was kind of expected due to her having a fear of mostly men. It took some time but Rob worked with her and eventually she calmed down enough to allow him to stroke her and gain a bit of confidence - enough for her to tolerate him. We left the first meeting armed with the right tools to continue working with her for the coming week. The following week, we again met with Rob and Tim joined him this time. We had already put her muzzle on but this time, she approached Rob and Tim with her tail between her legs practically begging them to take the muzzle off. Within minutes, Rob had removed the muzzle and she was wagging her tail and taking treats from his hand - she completely fell in love with Tim who she had never met before!! None of us could believe this was happening!! 1 week and she was a changed dog!! If you are reading this and doubting anyone can help you and your dog - don’t doubt anymore and give Rob a call. I guarantee he will be able to help you. I’m beyond grateful we had this time with Rob and his team - we have more work to do but my dog is getting better as time goes on.

Met Rob two weeks ago for our initial assessment for my human and dog reactive Rottweiler. After the initial assessment we were already getting results!
Two training sessions later and the progress we’ve made is unbelievable! Rob is an excellent trainer who is extremely knowledgeable and I can’t rate him enough! He’s very genuine and cares about the owners too- he cares about fixing the issues not peoples bank accounts (although he’s worth every penny).
I very much look forward to continuing my dogs journey with him.

We’ve had 4 sessions with Rob at K9 Control & the difference with our german shepherd/ belgian shepherd -harry is unbelievable!!
He will now walk on a loose lead & he has been off lead with other dogs ( never thought this was possible ( after he was attacked by 5 dogs as a 7 month old puppy) .
