The bike is awesome
The bike is awesome. I use it to go to work, home and other places. The bike works in the rain make sure to cover the battery plug with tape or with something.

I would definitely suggest going elsewhere to purchase an e-bike.

We post in several places on JourneyBikes.com explaining how the professional assembly credit works:
• On the product page itself in the Professional Assembly Tab stating explicitly that the credit only applies to select eBikes, including a link to the Professional Assembly Credit page details so that the customer is aware of such
• We also dedicate an entire website page explaining exactly how the professional assembly credit works so that customers can have a complete understanding that the credit only applies to select bikes and how to determine if your bike qualifies for professional assembly.
• On select bikes that qualify for the professional assembly, we have included clear information for customers to select the Professional Assembly option (see attached).
• On bikes that do not qualify for professional assembly, there is no option to select Professional Assembly to make sure it is not misleading.
For the bike you purchased we do not post any information on the product pages that they are eligible for a professional assembly credit. We have no intentions of giving our shoppers the assumption that that eBike qualifies for professional assembly.
We work with and offer several different eBike brands, and each brand, and sometimes even the specific bikes within a brand, come with different accessories, warranties and policies. We make sure to state these differences very clearly on each product page so that customers are aware of what comes with their specific bike they have selected.
We do apologize if you did not read that information, we never have any intention of misleading.
I agree with the other negative reviews…
I agree with the other negative reviews in that journey bikes does not stand behind their products. I feel misled as their website states they are familiar with all their manufacturers and vouch for their products. I received a defective X-Treme ebike after 3 1/2 months of waiting. The box came without a seat inside. Outreached journey who turfed the problem off on the manufacturer. Received the seat a week later and when we began assembly, realized the motor cord was completely severed. At that point I asked for a refund as I was not confident in the product. Received my RMA and it cost me $240 to ship it back. I contacted the manufacturer to request they reimburse shipping costs or at least split them with me. The response I got was “no, our policy is clear.” So...after almost 4 months, I paid $240 and got absolutely nothing in return. I recommend Rad bikes or Blix instead. Their customer service and products are superior to Journey.
Update: the response from Journey solidifies exactly why I did not want to continue the transaction further. You only offered the replacement part after I started the return process, and I think other consumers would agree that when you pay $1500 for a product, you shouldn’t have to piecemeal it together part by part as you discover defect after defect. That’s ridiculous.

We try to ensure our customers are aware of the warranty and returns process by clearly stating these policies on the product page and on the warranty and returns page. We were assisting you in getting your issue resolved, but when you refused to have the replacement part sent to you to resolve your issue, we were at that point unable to further assist you due to your refusal. We worked with the manufacturer, X-Treme, to ensure that they assisted you in getting your issue resolved, and had confirmed with the manufacturer that they had approved to send you an entire rear wheel assembly to resolve your issue of the damage to the motor cord that your bike received in transit. We always strive to assist our customers in the warranty process, but since you refused the replacement part and requested to return the bike, you did not give us the opportunity to resolve your issue.

No one should ever buy a NAKTO bike from Journey Bikes. I got a defective one from Matthew Munoz at NAKTO and for 3 months he and Natalie Krul (co owner of Journey Bikes) have done nothing about the problem. These JERKS have ruined my wife's summer.

Journeybikes difficult to work with and did not stand behind their product
Bought an electric bike with range of "up to 20 miles" and 15 day return period. Should have read the bait and switch fine print. Bike cannot be returned once assembled or ridden.
Gets at best 2 miles on a full overnight charge. Have to pay to ship battery back for replacement, get RMA (took weeks) meanwhile I'm stuck walking.
Journey bikes appears to just be a middleman and dumps all problems off on manufacturer. Has made the whole process difficult.
