Josten’s LOST my son’s Letterman’s…
Josten’s LOST my son’s Letterman’s Jacket! Over 500 dollars and I can’t even get the local representative to explain what happened to my son’s jacket! It was in her possession. On April 11, and she called saying it was in. We said we would go pick it up and I paid the balance over the phone with a credit card! Never even set eyes on this jacket. She said it has to go to the school for a PO? Whatever that meant and now the jacket is unable to be found! She won’t answer the phone and no one in the school knows anything about the jacket! It’s ruined my son’s senior year. All because this woman was so incompetent to not just allow us to pick up the jacket. I’m beyond angry! I have spent thousands with this company and I am going to do all I can to make sure everyone knows what we’ve experienced and how disgracefully we’ve been treated in all of this! I feel like his jacket is in the trunk of a car or just hanging somewhere and this woman who demanded that this jacket not be given to us,the owners of the jacket but to go to the school first, now has no answers! I am astonished a company could do business this way. Graduation is less than a month away and now I’m going to have to pay for an attorney and sue Josten’s for mental anguish and my son’s whole senior experience being ruined.
Spent over 5 hours on multiple phone…
Spent over 5 hours on multiple phone calls and processing a return at USPS. Every step of the way needed hand holding with me proving with receipts, tracking, emails, etc... that each step had taken place. Unfortunately, Jostens seems to be a monopoly that many schools use. The hide the plain "cap and gown" package at the very bottom of some webpage, so it seems that expensive packages with fancy paper invitations, etc... are the only option. Frankly, except for weddings, I've been doing invites to parties for the kids digitally.
Missing items
Placed an order on 1/23/25 for a hoodie, 2 r-shirts, cap & gown, exta tassel, graduation announcements and foil name cards. Paid $259.23. Did NOT receive two t-shirts($34.95) and hoddie($48.95). UPS photo of confirmed delivery is a picture of a box the size of a large coffee mug- clearly not big enough for the hoodie and 2 t-shirt. My son wears a 2XL. No one anwers the customer service line at Jostens!
Update: After 32 minutes of holding for a customer service rep, she found my order and will ship the missing items!
The problem with companies like Jostens…
The problem with companies like Jostens and LifeTouch are that they already have contracts with the schools and parents hands are tied to get yearbooks and school photos.
I bought my kids yearbook back in October. Since then I have gotten emails weekly stating I have not yet ordered a year book and bullying me into buying it before it is too late. I find this practice to be so dishonest. Parents are already struggling most of the time, to try to trick them into spending on multiple copies of an overpriced yearbook is just really scummy.
Honored warranty, satisfied customer
Almost ten years later, Josten's made good on their warranty and helped make our Christmas great this year. Both of my children have class rings from Josten's, but they needed to be resized. They had been left in a drawer and forgotten. A lot has happened since they graduated, both good and bad. They are both college graduates even! I am happy knowing that now they can wear these rings as a reminder of where they came from, what they have accomplished, and where they are going. I am happy they can wear these with pride. Thanks again, Jostens, this means so much.
Low quality products for the price
Very low quality products for the price. My son's school had their students order their graduation "Swag" from Jostens. The cheapest package was a can and gown and some announcement cards and a couple trinkets for $200. I thought this was expensive when ordering but the school provided no other options. I also asked about alternatives and they just said, the gowns need to be a matching shade of red so this guarantees that they will have the correct color.
When we actually received the gown, I knew we were scammed. The material on the gown was so thin I could see through it in bright sunlight. The cap was made of material that seemed about the same thickness as a KN-95 face mask. (IE, not thick). The whole experience just makes me think Jostens has no competition and doesn't need to make a good product. I highly encourage people to avoid Jostens

I had to repay for my son's cap and gown after Jostens claimed to have NO RECORD of my son's name or payment. I've been waiting on a refund for nearly a month after they "magically" found a record of the first payment and sent TWO caps and TWO gowns. I can't believe that schools still use these thieves for caps and gowns.

Why are students forced to buy caps and gowns, which are $99.14 after tax? Why is the shipping nearly another 1/4 of the entire price of the cap and gown?

I do not like Jostens, our school forced us to buy our cap and gowns from this website and the entire thing felt very sketchy. A man came in to give us a presentation and he was supposed to explain how to order our cap and gowns and maybe explain some of the extras you could buy if you wanted. He did NOT do that, it felt like I was on shark tank honestly because the entire thing was just a sales pitch. He gave us absolutely no helpful information and instead promoted all the unbelievably expensive crap like class rings and 300$ bundles. Also, when you go on the website the basic cheapest package (which is just the simple cap and gown) is nowhere to be seen, I genuinely had to search to the ends of the website to be able to find it its almost like its hidden, but you know whats NOT hidden? the 200-300$ packages, those are VERY easy to find as it's the first thing you see when you go on there. The class rings if you choose to buy one for some crazy ring are as expensive as real rings you'd get from a jewler. Why are they 300$ too ???? some of my classmates even found the exact rings they're trying to sell on amazon for a quarter of the price. Lastly, the cap and gown itself is 50$, which isn't bad, until they make you purchase a tassel for 23 DOLLARS and then pay for shipping which brings it up to 70 something. And you may be thinking "well that's not bad for a quality cap and gown" and yeah, I'd totally agree if the quality wasn't SH!T!!!!!! there were loose threads, it fits really weirdly I look like a big blue block (my school color is blue) the zipper keeps getting stuck, and I was expecting it to feel silky and nice, it does not, it feels like a cheap party city costume. genuinely I 100% mean this when I say you are better off going on amazon and finding the exact same one because they probably drop ship anyway. And this isn't meant to sound like I'm trying to promote amazon because I don't gaf about that company in the slightest bit but I'm just mad that jostens is scamming people across the country and I'm thankful my parents are able to afford this crap when other families are barely scraping by. Graduation is supposed to be a fun happy time for students, and Jostens does nothing but stress people out. Some people at my school are even getting the wrong sizes, orders, etc and Jostens stingy a$$ company is probably not going to give them a refund.
Stay Away From Jostens
This business will take my money. But it is run by shady people who refuse to help customers like me when we have problems. I simply requested help from them only to get a bot-like response. Which proves Jostens is just another shady American business. America has really gone downhill. I wouldn't consider it a developed country with decent rulers who care about people more than profit. Most of its businesses have gone downhill with useless bot-like responses.
Beautiful Quality!!
I finally ordered my class ring. And when I say I loooove it. I mean just that. I know I ordered my ring specifically how I wanted, I went all out and got everything. Jostens has delivered 100 percent. I finally completed a childhood task that took me 23 years to do. It is done and Im beyond grateful and appreciate the attention to detail. I always say better now than never. I literally have the second ring of my dreams. The first one is from my fiancée..I just love my class ring c/o 2000!!!
