Disgraceful customer service
Disgraceful customer service. Bought a £350 advent calendar with next day delivery, it turned up late, not gift wrapped in a tatty box. All customer care did was send a link (that didn’t work) to their terms and conditions. Spend your hard earned cash elsewhere this Christmas

I just bought oud and bergamot intense and it’s nothing like the previous one I had!!!
It is so light and does not last at all, I barely smell it after 5-6 sprays!

Would never buy from them again
If there was the possibility of no stars that is what I would have given Jo Malone. I recently bought a Mandarin, Basil and lime room spray to replace my last one. Firstly it was not in stock in Kingston, so they organised it to come by post. It came eventually. I was really shocked. The bottle was half the size and it smells nothing like my old spray. It cost slightly more than the old bottle but I would have happily accepted that if it had been the same size and quality. It is absolutely unacceptable to charge the price they did for the rubbish they are now producing. The new owners need a reality check because people like me will never buy from them again. Especially in a recession.
How to destroy a high profile brand
Well done Estée Lauder I only hope when jo malone sold her company to you there was a clause in the contract about protecting the brand she had worked so hard to build eg excellent customer service , and supplying quality products ( not the tap water your passing off as colognes.

I bought bottle of jo malone in arronts in ireland ..I am very disappointed with it ..it cost me 154 euro and dose not last ..I will never buy r recommended jo malone to any one..I love prefume I have many of other brands ..but I will never buy jo malone again ..for price you should be satisfied I am very disappointed
The wrong gift card!
I ordered a diffuser and a gift card for a friends 60th birthday. When it arrived the card had been put in the wrong box! A simple mistake but one you wouldn't expect for such an expensive gift.

Very disappointed that gift wrap was an option on my order, it arrived in a brown cardboard box, customer services told me they had no gift boxes available. This has ruined what was supposed to be a special gift. I shall be the person at the party with the shabby looking gift really not impressed.

I ordered weeks ago some products .Two items aren’t delivered. I rang three times , had to wait very long and until today no products or mail to inform me. They send 4 days ago a mail to the “magazijn” they said on the phone. It’s not the first this happens wit a orde at the website of jo malone !

Dreadful delivery service
Beware if you are ordering for a gift, their delivery service is dreadful. Two days after I ordered body lotion as a birthday gift, I received an email to say it was being packaged but it took another five days and a number of chats and an email before it was finally sent out. The gift arrived ten days after it was ordered. Love Joe Malone products but their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.
Great products if you can get someone to serve you.
I have walked out of a Jo Malone shop twice now, once at Stansted airport as the assistant was far too busy tying bows onto the gift bags instead of actually selling to customers and using the gift bags.
The second time was yesterday in Manchester airport where once again I was ignored. A group of men walked in after me and the female assistant was fawning all over them while I stood waiting to ask advice and my husband sat on a chair after finally getting through security.
I waited until the men had paid and tried to get the attention of the assistant, but 2 more people walked in and she went straight up to them. I said “excuse me I’m next” but she said she was busy with a customer so once again my husband and I walked out.
I bought some perfume from duty free instead and won’t bother with Jo Malone again. I’m not sure where they get their staff from but I’d advise they send them all on a hospitality course to brush up on their customer service skills.

I have spent thousands of pounds with this company and after being refused a sample in John Lewis of a perfume I contacted jo malone asking them if I could have a sample of a perfume that I was interested in buying and they told me No it’s not there policy, well I shall take my business elsewhere, there are plenty of nice perfumes out there, your loss
Appalling company
Appalling company. DO NOT purchase from this company. I was given an unwanted Jo Malone candle as a gift. I cannot ring Jo Malone department directly in Belfast so when I ring London my only option is to post it to them in London (at considerable expense) and they will change it like for like ???? You cannot add money to it to buy something else in the department. Cannot return to Belfast dept without purchase receipt !!!!!! Attitude was appalling on the phone -just kept saying it was their policy!!! Never ever again will I buy from Jo Maline. Candle now in the bin!

The customer service people are worst than useless and no one including managers and supervisors are ever available (always in meetings!!)

Shocked to come here to see so many bad reviews... My experience with Jo Malone Selfridges was excellent - from customer service to product. No complaints really! Everyone was kind and helpful to help me choose a gift for my mother and wife.
White Lilac and Rhubarb candle
Was given the White Lilac and Rhubarb candle as a gift last year.
Have found that it makes my eyes very sore when it burns for any length of time, so much that I had to extinguish. Wondered if any other users had found this?
No Malone
No Malone! I was gifted a candle that cost more than an average family weekly shop.
Why this present was chosen with me in mind, with all its pretentious faux status, ' you know you are special if your house smells of Jo Malone ' is possibly more offensive than the price tag.

I received a Jo Malone candle for…
I received a Jo Malone candle for Christmas however it was not in its usual lovely gift packaging. My daughters fiancé was really disappointed as he had ordered it directly from Jo Malone and knew how much I love the brand and how it’s normally beautifully wrapped. Of course it’s only a box and a bit of ribbon which we end up throwing away eventually but perhaps they need to be more transparent on their website to say they have some issues with supplies of packaging and then customers would not be so disappointed. It would be a real shame to see such a lovely brand suffer through lack of honesty to their customers.
