App is great
App is great! Only a few things I’d like to see adjusted or option of adjusting:
1) when you send an estimate it shows the total estimated dollar amount on the top right, which to me makes it easy for the client to look at the # and not read what we have estimated for the work so if explained in that manner they maybe wouldn’t be “sold” on our estimate compared to other companies as. Our work description may be more inclusive of extra work or results etc.
so the fix :
would be to have an option to show the number only on the bottom total .
2) sometimes when we send an invoice to the client to their cell # they are unable to open in the text/click on option to open up the invoice and this has caused a few issues as we do a great deal of etransfer for payment .
Fix: clarify if there is a reason for this or changes we can make on the settings or like wise as we haven’t been able to see one on the help portion of the app.
Other than that we love it!

The app is great for a solid estimate…
The app is great for a solid estimate and invoice app, but it holds you to it where you can't just send an estimate or an invoice without having to just send it as a informational record for the customer. It always locks you in to implement it to yoir books, rather than just floating out a invoice if the customer chooses to pay by check in person. I dont use the pay online option because mine didnt cooperate and was a bit of a pain to integrate.. it kept kicking me out so I just take check or have my invoices sent straight from my accountant through qb..

Easy to use for small business.
System is simple to use and perfect for a small business. Only option I would like added is a simple check register to track balances.

I’ve had Joist for years
I’ve had Joist for years, and it had been great… until.. a couple things. Your pricing is probably not the best. It’s increased over time with really no new features to back it up
Not being able to access client info that’s already saved and has 3 steps to add client info into a new estimate or invoice is not my favorite
Lastly, in my mobile, if I’m creating a “New Item” for an invoice and I’m typing up details for that items, it will not auto-save. This cost me time as I was going back and forth between apps to price my work correctly when Joist decided to restart itself and I lost all info I had typed for that “new Item”. Not ideal ….
