Customer support SUCK really bad. They don't answer emails for weeks and can never resolve issues. If you want something with good customer service use ADP.

Homebase support team is fast and knowledgeable. Both the chatbox and live support were excellent.

I have always found Homebase easy enough to use. I have a large staff and has suited my needs thus far.
That being said, I do not care for the new AI features they've installed for the hiring feature. They do not even give you the option to turn off the screener questions.
The first week, I had the AI screener dismiss a qualified employee and schedule an interview for me when I was not available. I had to go in and manually change the settings. The AI screener is not even effective!!! The "qualified" candidates were worse than the applicants from the rejected pile. Seems like an unnecessary step to implement AI into every aspect of our life.

Their pricing is very competitive, especially for small businesses, and the value is excellent for the features provided. What really stands out is their customer support. Whenever we've had a question, the support team has been responsive, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. Overall, Homebase Payroll has saved us time and simplified payroll management. Highly recommended!

Amber Is amazing! I didn't realize that Friday was a banking holiday and our normal deadline for payroll direct deposit is Wednesdays. But, with a banking holiday being on Friday, that I hadn't realized, the deadline was Tuesday evening and it had already passed. Amber SAVED the day by giving us a ONE TIME one day processing to ensure our client's payroll checks were received in advance of the Holiday.

The agent called back right away which was a plus to get a live person on the phone he took the time to research my problem and stayed working with it until he fixed it the one suggestion is there should be a place on there where you can remove previous employers or profiles that was the problem I had there was no place on the app to show me that I had a couple profiles that was making it impossible to join the one I'm working for now but the agent was very helpful and fix the problem in a timely manner

I’m not happy I was charged for the plan on the first day when it said I would have a 14 day trial. There needs to be a more clear explanation of when you will be charged when choosing a plan. This was misleading and lead to a failure hardship for me.

We had a delay on the amendment due to the CC expiring, and there was no grace period, so we were downgraded ASAP without letting us do much. We have been clients for so long, so it was disappointing.

We switched from Toast POS payroll to Homebase payroll for our two restaurants because Homebase advertised easy payroll runs. Homebase has been the most terrible technology experience of our careers. The onboarding consultants for payroll promised to transfer all our data for us and provide a customer service phone number where we could call and talk to a payroll tax professional anytime we had questions. None of that was true. There is no phone number. The only way to reach a live person is to try desperately to convince the AI chat bot to give you a live person. I've asked the chat bot 5x before getting a call from a live agent. It's terrible. Right now, Homebase has failed to file our quarterly taxes correctly. We have 3 ongoing cases with Homebase to try to resolve. It's been more than a month with no resolution. We have been passed to 4 different representatives at Homebase with no resolution and no continuity. At this time, even after five weeks of arguing to get help, we were told a resolution could still be 25 business days out. Meaning Homebase will need to file the next quarterly taxes before they resolve the ones previously filed incorrectly. Stay away.
