I had a terrible experience with JobHero
I had a terrible experience with JobHero. I was charged a recurring monthly fee without any notice or warning, which was incredibly frustrating. The lack of transparency in their billing practices felt deceptive, and canceling the subscription was a hassle. I couldn't remove my billing information from their website. It was locked. To make matters worse, their customer service was completely unresponsive. I reached out multiple times and received no assistance or resolution, which only added to my frustration. I would not recommend this service to others, as it seems designed to take advantage of users with ongoing charges that aren’t clearly communicated. Be cautious when using JobHero. They do not even deserve 1 star.
09/17/24 - Adding comments based on response provided by JobHero. There are a lot of products available in the market that offer a free trial and then if you don't cancel, it goes to a paid subscription. I have personally used many, but they all send a communication to the customer prior to the trial expiring and each time the customer is billed. Also, they don't lock the customer's profile so the customer cannot update the billing information. You intentionally do not communicate to customers so if the customer does not notice their ongoing charges on their credit card, you can keep charging them. A company operating with a customer mindset will not do that, especially to customers who are looking for jobs. That's like exploiting customers. In reading reviews from other customers, it looks like you have been doing this for some time and despite reviews have not changed your billing strategy. Also, as per the email I received from you, the refund was only for September.

Hello,
We are genuinely sorry for any confusion. We would like to take the opportunity to explain the reason for the recurring charges.
Our 14-day trial auto-renews to our monthly access until you decide that it has met your expectations and proceed to cancel your subscription. To avoid any misunderstanding, this information is provided before, during, and after the subscription is bought. We also provide this information in the welcoming email sent during the purchase.
We have provided you with a refund as a sign of goodwill. Please allow 7 - 10 business days for the refund to be available on your account. We are certainly committed to changing your mind about us and ensuring that you receive the excellent customer service we pride ourselves on.
Thank you for your time!

Hello,
Thank you for reaching out with your question about Europass compliance for our templates. After consulting with our team, we can confirm that while JobHero offers a wide range of templates, we currently do not have Europass-compliant options available.
If you’re looking for a Europass-compliant CV, we recommend checking out ilcvperfetto.it, one of our family sites, which specializes in European CV formats. Alternatively, you may want to explore myperfectcv.co.uk for English-language options. Should you wish to transfer your account, our Customer Service team would be happy to assist you with that process.
Thank you for choosing JobHero, and please don't hesitate to reach out if you need any further assistance.

BE CAREFUL
BE CAREFUL! I agree about the other peoples reviews here this company's goal is to rob you. imagine charging you with a subscription without even sending you an email or warning. when you sign up they will charge you small amount for trial that is fine with me but you should inform your customers the trail is ending and they will be charge a monthly subscription so that they can decide if they need it or not specially when we are looking for job money is very important to us. 7 days before the trail ending is not enough reminder as not all of us checks email everyday specially when we are busy! i want my refund!

Extremely easy to use
Extremely easy to use. I needed a cover letter and it was as simple as answering a few questions and I got a cover letter. I submitted my resume and cover letter to my desired employer and was asked for an interview two days later. I was told by the hiring manager how impressive my resume and cover letter was and was offered the position during the interview.

Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review!
Disappointed with the quality of resume.
I purchased job hero (Elsewhere listed as a free resume builder, which is a lie). I was suggested to use this service to rebuild my resume so that it was ATS friendly when uploading to employers job application so that it would better parse my information and work history from my resume. Sadly this did just as badly as my own formatting when uploading to each employers unique parsing software. Basically spent all day using this and wasted my time trying to rebuild/ format my resume only for it to continue to jumble up my information when uploading to ATS based applications.

Svar fra JobHero - Resume Examples & Samples
Hello,
Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you experienced. We understand how critical ATS compatibility is in today’s job market, and we regret that our service didn’t meet your expectations in this area.
To enhance your resume’s compatibility with ATS software, we suggest using .doc or .docx formats rather than PDFs. Simple, clean formatting is key—avoid using tables, text boxes, headers, and footers, and stick to standard headings such as "Experience," "Education," and "Skills."
Additionally, tailoring your resume for each job by incorporating relevant keywords from the job description can significantly improve ATS readability. Ensure that your job titles, company names, and employment dates are clearly listed, and whenever possible, quantify your achievements and responsibilities.
We would be more than happy to assist you in revising your resume to improve its compatibility with ATS systems. For critical job applications, consider sending your resume directly to hiring managers or applying through company websites. Networking on platforms like LinkedIn can also be a valuable strategy.
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We’re here to support you further and help you succeed in your job search.
The JobHero app has significant limitations
The JobHero app has significant limitations in its text editing features. It doesn’t allow you to adjust content to fit the page, nor does it offer alignment options. When downloading the file, paragraphs are abruptly cut off as they move to the next page, leading to a poor overall presentation. To make everything fit correctly, you’re forced to manually tweak the spacing between paragraphs, lines, or the text size, which is both time-consuming and frustrating. Additionally, the absence of a preview option means you have to repeatedly save, download, or use the print option just to see how the text is distributed across the pages. Considering that similar tasks can be done for free using Canva, it's particularly disappointing to encounter these issues after paying for the service, especially when so much time is spent on editing just to make the resume look presentable.
