Tunbridge Wells 👎 Albion 👍

This is following on with my last review. After contacting the Albion ( parent company) management I got a reply in 5 days saying that after reviewing the details they are happy to refund me due to the Mis practice of the Tunbridge Wells store and that they will implement new policies on minors at all Istore including new training and service contracts. This is good news to hear that they are taking feedback well. While I am still not happy with how my daughter and my self were treated at the Tunbridge Wells store I am happy to hear that new training will help to improve customer experience. While my trust for Istore Tunbridge Wells is still very shaky I am very impressed with the management especially Liam Jones who handled the situation well and replied to emails in a day. So while Albion Management has surpassed my expectations Istore Tunbridge wells i don’t feel happy but with all new actions I may be coming back

I purchased an iPhone 16 in the iStore…

I purchased an iPhone 16 in the iStore Crawley yesterday and would just like to commend the technical support assistant who served me. His name was Daniel Barr and his patience was endless. I paid the additional fee to have my data transferred from my old phone to my new one and, after this process was complete, Dan stuck with me until I had ensured that I could access everything I needed. I mentioned that my hearing aids were controlled by an app and Dan spent ages linking them to my new phone and pairing them with Bluetooth. I also observed him interacting with other (quite difficult) customers and he always remained calm, patient and professional. It was so refreshing to encounter this level of customer service and I just wanted to extend my grateful thanks to Dan for a job really well done. I would recommend the IStore in County Mall to anyone looking to purchase a new Apple device or get guidance on a previous purchase.

Reply to Istore , just to clarify one important point: my iPad was presented in first class condition with not singles line whatsoever and 100% cent secure of the agreed valuation

I went to Apple istore in Woking center after been advised by Apple support on line regarding buying a new IPad and trade the old one ; my IPad is Generation9 capacity 256GB ,10 inches, in immaculate conditions,not a single scratch, once we arrived at the shop one of the workers tried to help us …so we spoken and explained what we were looking, trade the IPad and buy a new one, so we were told to wait until the iPad will be inspect and confirmed the actual trade value; after few minutes he came back saying sorry but we can’t take this iPad as it’s damaged????? As shock me and my wife we were absolutely surprised and speechless! The iPad was immaculate condition 100% always looked after properly very carefully….now it’s only question to be fair and honest….certainly we do not expect to trade a IPad that is damaged the screen for £120 Apple valuation, but our words against their words at the end who’s to trust ? The end of the story was that we bought another new IPad from £329 and regarding the trade of the old one after spoken with the manager called Freddie we had been offer the option to wait around 15/20 minutes to locate the recording and see exactly what’s happened during that time they took the iPad at the back of the shop for inspect the condition, I said I had to go I couldn’t wait any longer, so was not necessary in that moment….but once back home I cannot stop thinking about all this happened and every time me and my wife starting talk over and over again we realised that the worker who took the iPad for inspection must have had some kind of accident in some way during taking out the iPad from the tight cover case…and accidentally had a scratch line expanded all throughout the top and consequently was cracking in different parts!!! Today I called the shop and asking to speak with manager, a lady called Sam ( second manager) answered and said the Freddie was off , explained all the story to her and she’s promised to get in touch later after viewing the recording and let me have the update of what happened; we will see…..we will wait to have a answer about it and surprisingly a Company like Apple we expect a proper respectful reply …but sometimes not everyone use it, G.S.&C.H.

We’re sorry about your experience; however, we would like to clarify the situation.

When your iPad was presented for trade-in, our team carried out a standard inspection and identified a scratch on the screen/bezel, which would affect the valuation. At no point was the device taken off the shop floor, and this has been verified through our CCTV.

Following your visit, we reviewed the footage in detail. This clearly shows that no damage was caused by our staff. The device remained with you during the time in question, and the footage shows pressure being applied by yourself to the affected area of the screen prior to the damage worsening, which was also confirmed by you.

We understand how frustrating this situation must have been, which is why we took the time to review the matter thoroughly and discuss the findings with you. We’re pleased that, following this review, the situation was clarified.

We always aim to provide a fair and transparent service, and we remain confident that our team acted appropriately throughout.

Complete crap!

Complete crap!! My husband took a day off work to drive to nearest repair centre - 45 minutes away - take my iPad in and was told to wait in the town & they’ll ring him when ready. They didn’t. Brought home several hours later. That was Friday. Just over a week later yesterday (Monday) afternoon it had stopped again and wouldn’t accept my password!!! It had worked for less than 10 days!!

They’re suggestion was that I ask my husband to take another day off work to bring it in again!!!!

On the positive, polite staff…. And gave me the Apple helpline number

Your iPad was inspected and repaired by our technicians and left the store working correctly. Unfortunately, with electronic devices it is sometimes possible for issues to reoccur, particularly when faults are intermittent.

In situations like this, it is important for our technicians to see the device again in person so it can be reassessed and the underlying cause identified. As an additional way to assist, our team also provided Apple Support’s contact details so you could receive help remotely if returning to the store was inconvenient.

We understand that travelling to the store takes time and we appreciate your feedback. We’re also pleased to hear that our staff were polite during your visit. If you would like us to re-examine the device, our team would be happy to assist.

Great service would recommend.

Great service, the representative was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and helped me in choosing the best product. It wasn’t in stock but ordered it for me and true to his word was ready for collection on Wednesday.

Excellent Service from iStore Ipswich

My previous iphone was “swiped” when I was shopping, a horrid experience and the guys in the iPhone shop were so helpful, patient and supportive. I’m in my 70’s and do my best to keep up with technology but I do sometimes need things explained more than once! It’s great to have a phone again and to know that I can call into the shop if I need anymore help is very reassuring.

Friendly exceptional sevice

We had exceptional service for what was a very stressful time with a broken /smashed phone. All options seemed impossible to recover but with help from Tech team we were able to recover. No force to buy replacement, however we bought a new phone .

Helpful, experienced staff

Before purchase I rang the shop- the call was answered straight away and all questions answered.
I ordered online - the phone arrived in a week and the staff in the shop were extremely helpful, transferred all the data and handed back my fully functioning new phone. Couldn’t have been easier.

I came into the Ipswich store in town…

I came into the Ipswich store in town today, I was served by a fantastic guy called Dan I explained what I was looking for he told me all the different options available. I chose the one I wanted, when I said I wanted screen protector he put that on and also transferred everything over to my new iPhone. Excellent service thank you

Very disappointing

Ipswich IStore

Very disappointing. Booked an appointment a week in advance. Got three reminders including the day before. Got there for my 9am appointment after driving 45 minutes and was told my battery was out of stock. They had used the last one the day before. No communication, no cancellation even though they knew I was coming for a iPhone 13 Pro battery replacement. Not only did I waste 2 hours of my Saturday, I wasted fuel and parking money. Would not recommend, completely incompetent. Avoid!

We understand how frustrating it must have been to travel for your appointment and find that the battery was no longer available.

While we always aim to complete battery replacements on the same day, repairs are subject to stock availability and an in-person assessment by one of our certified technicians. This is clearly outlined in the booking confirmation email. Unfortunately, in this instance the battery for your device model was out of stock, which meant we were unable to provide a same-day replacement.

In such cases, the standard process is to quote up to two working days for the repair and offer a loaner phone for use during this time. This process is also explained in the booking confirmation email. We’re sorry that this alternative option did not meet your needs on this occasion.

We regret that your experience fell short and we hope you'll give us the opportunity to serve you again.

Colchester iStore…

Regarding Colchester iStore…

Summary: The Colchester iStore messed up, resulting in financial loss, wasted time, stress and labor on my part, and incurring damage to my credit rating. The store has taken no accountability for this, and refused to offer anything to make up for the nightmare they caused, despite none of it being my fault.

Apple is a premium product and should come with premium service, which should include compensation if an error is made which causes a situation like I’ve detailed below. I spoke to the store extensively before posting this review, because it’s a last resort for me to do a negative review.

Further details:
Went in to buy a phone on finance 25/02/26.

During the process I was instructed to log out of my Apple ID on my old phone and erase everything.

The staff member then instructed me to do the finance part on my phone, which required use of my phone number, email and banking app, which I had just deleted all access to. I hadn’t questioned this as previously they would sort this out on their computer and followed the instructions.

I was then unable to do the finance agreement, so I was advised to get my laptop from home. I rode my bike all the way home and then returned with the laptop so that I could access an email link. This failed because I then needed access to my phone for the next steps anyway, which I was unable to access or re-instate. Again, I couldn’t have known this, but they should have before sending me to do this. If I hadn’t have happened to have an old iPod Touch at home, I would have had to do a full account reset, which would have taken up to 10 days. It was very distressing being faced with this prospect while I scrambled to sort it out

I had to go home and spend hours getting access to my phone and installing everything again to get back to square one.

I returned the next day with it all working again, but this time the finance agreement with Klarna approved me, but then wouldn’t work when I came to link it to my bank using the banking app because I’d had to reinstall my banking app due to the mess up and it wouldn’t let me do that for 4 days after re-install. I then ran to the bank and spent ages in there getting that aspect sorted out before returning to the store. This time I was rejected by Klarna, presumably because of all the messing around. I will add that I have NEVER been refused credit and have always looked after my credit rating, but now I have a blot on my credit history.

I then moved money from my ISA to pay for the phone upfront, so will lose interest I would have otherwise made on that money.

This experience has been incredibly stressful, frustrating financially damaging, and time consuming. This is compounded by the complete lack of accountability from the store and refusal to compensate me in any way whatsoever. I’d gone to buy a phone and ended up with my own phone bricked, no access to anything and was only spared another 10 days of that due to luck and effort on my part.

We’re sorry that your experience did not meet expectations and appreciate the opportunity to clarify the circumstances.

During your visit to purchase a new iPhone and trade in your existing device, our colleague followed the usual preparation process by ensuring your device was backed up and signed out before proceeding. Unfortunately, this step was carried out earlier than it should have been in relation to the finance application, which required access to your email and two-factor authentication. We acknowledge that this created additional inconvenience for you and apologise for that. As you also acknowledged at the time, this was a genuine human mistake and the sales advisor apologised to you multiple times.

We attempted to assist by setting up your phone again so you could regain access to your email, banking applications and authentication methods required to proceed with the finance application. Unfortunately, you were unable to recall your Apple ID credentials at that time, despite having used them earlier to erase the device.

When you returned the following day, you stated that the finance agreement had been approved but that you were unable to link your bank account to Klarna because the banking app had been erased from your phone. We would like to clarify that bank details are usually added to Klarna before finance approval is granted, so it is unlikely the application had been fully approved at that stage and was most likely still pending. When the application was completed the following day, it was unfortunately declined. However, none of the events that occurred in store would have influenced this outcome.

We did review the situation with you and offered a goodwill gesture, which was declined. While we regret that the process became more complicated than expected, the team worked within the limits of the systems and policies involved to assist as best as possible.

I visited the Cheltenham istore on 14th Feb

I visited the Cheltenham istore on saturday 14th Feb with a faulty set of airpod 2 pro's and charging case. After chatting with Joost the store manager he quickly booked them in for a service as the fault needed a technician to fix it. 3 days later i received a pleasant call from Joost again saying my pods have been sorted under their 12 month guarantee period. He remembered who I was which is always a big plus in my book! I could not fault the service or attention received from the store or the manager. very happy apple customer!

Visited the iStore rushden lakes on the…

Visited the iStore rushden lakes on the 16th feb 26, we we greeted by Toyah and recieved not only exceptional customer service but a honest review on what laptop was better suited for us walked through accessories and explained thoroughly how Apple protect works - without her help we would of purchased the wrong laptop so thank you toyah
