I disliked the fact that the white door handles I bought was not actually white. They were more like chrome handles dipped in white paint on Which the paint did not adhere to. An absolute diabolical attempt to Palm off £150 of door handles as being white.

I placed an order on Friday, June 7th. By Monday, June 10th, I received an email stating that my order had been shipped, but there were no tracking details provided. Now, it's Monday, June 17th, and I still haven't received my order. There's been no tracking information, and customer service is unresponsive to emails and phone calls. Sending shipping notifications without tracking details is poor customer service. If I don't hear back by today, I will contact PayPal to dispute the charge.

This is unacceptable. DO NOT SHOP HERE.

This company is awful and have the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I ordered a letter plate on May 1st, 1 week later it hadn't arrived so I emailed customer support to check what the issue was. They said it would definitely be with me before the end of the week...alas...no letter plate! Emailed customer service again and was fobbed off with a tale that they are moving warehouse and to bear with them. I did "bear" with them, to no avail. Three weeks later still no letter plate! I emailed again to ask where it was, the person on the other end told me it was still out of stock?! Even though I had a "shipped" email notification on May 2nd! Lies upon lies upon lies! Avoid and do not give them your money. Still no refund which was apparently processed on May 23rd! I've never written a bad review before but this has warranted one. Disappointed is an understatement.

6 emails over 10 days, still nothing

I often wonder how hard can it be these days to answer an email or at least acknowledge them.

Ive been asking Ironmongery World the simplest of questions in relation to an item (8" Surface Door Bolt Polished Chrome (UD030CP08) for the last 10 days.

Cant anyone furnish me with the details Ive requested, it seems not! How very Disappointing

Good range of items - including simple, uncomplicated essentials such as toilet roll holders (which don't necessarily include a "phone shelf"! Quick service.

Inept. In the entire time I have communicated with them they have been both irresponsible and dishonest in their replies. Upon my order I received an email the day after that the order had been shipped. YEAH! 2-weeks later I asked for the name of the tracking # and shipper. The reply, "Sorry, but we are moving and the order got delayed." A coverup lie. Two weeks later another email asking for the same. The return email. "Something went wrong, but we will look into it. And, we no longer produce your lampshades, so they are cancelled." Another coverup. After waiting 2 months for news on the order with tracking #, today an email has been sent saying, "I have spoken to my senior manager and this order has been cancelled." You have to be kidding!? The only wish I have is that the company folds and dies a horrible death. They deserve it.

H hinges: little bit of play in the hinges, but otherwise nicely, traditional design and manufacture.

Order two beautifully crafted black handles for my kitchen cupboard doors. Arrived promptly and price was excellent. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Brass door knocker arrived on time, sturdy construction, very pleased.

Ordered last Sunday for next day delivery but nothing has turned up 6 days later. Emailed and phoned yesterday. Eventually got through on phone and was told they will investigate and call back. No call back received. This firm is all to willing to take your money but don’t deliver the service promised. I recommend you use Ironmongery Direct as an alternative.
It is now nearly three weeks since purchase. No item and despite request for money back, no communication or refund.

Paid for next day delivery… didn’t happed

Placed order with next day delivery. Two days later, still not received. Contacted Ironmongery World to be told there is a delay on items being sent out due to moving warehouse. Very little help from them to confirm whether the item has been sent or not. The item will now arrive after the project has been completed.

Good communication about delivery (Yodel) and the item was just what I wanted for a 6th Wedding Anniversary gift!

I bought a few items over over 2 transaction 1 door knocker 2 hooks and then other door knocker 2 hooks arrive no door knockers no email explaining why haven’t received it I call said out of stock I get refund Tuesday no refund when was told my email end of the week still not received refund then told it take up to 40 days get my money bank I would avoid all cost this company. I’ve rung my bank and they will get my money back the lady was rude on the phone iron monger world put phone down on me update still waiting for refund been 2 weeks now please don’t buy from these cowboys had to get bank involed to get my refund back edit this because had to get my bank involved been 27 days still not had refund just had email from them saying I have to wait 40 days because I put in a bad review still waiting had half money back 30 may

acquistato un prodotto ben due volte, entrambe è tornato indietro perchè è stato usato un servizio di posta standard. Quando ho chiesto un servizio di posta con tracking service, mi è stato detto che costava troppo e dopo un mese di attesa hanno scelto di rimborsarmi.

order an item. They confirmed to me by email that it had been dispatched. When it didn’t arrive after a week I raised it with customer services and asked for a replacement.

3 chasers and another week later they just refunded the money without explaining what happened. It turns out they didn’t have the stock so never dispatched it at all. Whilst annoying I wouldn’t have minded but what has irritated me is the poor customer service and the fact I had to chase 3 times for them to give me a refund and then I had to send another email asking why they’d cancelled my order.

Orderd and deliverd 10 days not the right size i wanted but dats life .
