In August 2026, I rented a car from Imperial on Andros, Greece, and added the Platinum All-Inclusive Insurance Package for a significant extra charge to avoid taking any risks. The rental car was only handed over to me by another company (Apollo Rent A Car) after I paid a deposit of 800 €, even though I wouldn’t have had to pay a deposit at all because of the Platinum insurance—but they wouldn’t have given me the car without a deposit. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have had a car with my young children during peak season. Apollo then withheld €150 from this deposit for damage I didn’t cause—damage that should have been covered by the expensive Platinum insurance. They said it was their car and that I had taken out the insurance with Imperial. To this day, despite several requests, Imperial has not reimbursed me for the damage. So I paid a lot of money for supplemental insurance and, in the end, ended up paying for the damage anyway. Personally, I consider this fraud. I bought expensive insurance from Imperial, and they circumvented the insurance coverage by renting the car through another company and then leaving me to foot the bill for the damage. Never again!!!!

Abbiamo noleggiato una vettura per una settimana ad Ikaria, ebbene lo stato del mezzo era " molto precario " tralasciando i parecchi difetti estetici bolli vernice mancante fari ingialliti pezzi di maniglia porta mancanti i problemi più gravi sono stati: aria climatizzata non funzionante con l'aggravante che anche se il selettore era ruotato sul freddo usciva aria caldissima spia motore accesa perennemente e spia pressione pneumatici accesa. Sentito il noleggiatore ( si sono appoggiati ad Ikariada Holidays) ci hanno detto che era tutto ok. In più al momento della riconsegna ci hanno fatto aspettare quasi un' ora al porto di Evdilos sotto il sole cocente. Mai più Imperial .

I rented a car through Imperial Car Rental (broker), with pickup handled by the local agency Billy's Rent a Car-Van-Moto in Anaxos, for my stay in Lesvos. I also paid for full insurance at €13/day. Upon pickup, the car had numerous pre-existing issues: bodywork dents, rust on the engine hood and windshield wipers, missing wheel covers, a worn steering wheel, yellowed headlights, no trunk cover, and a non-functioning remote key (not even a battery replaced). The car also had almost 90,000 km. I documented everything with photos at handover.

With so many pre-existing damages, verifying any new ones is practically impossible — which makes the insurance equally pointless: you end up paying for damage that will never actually be repaired anyway.

After my complaint, Imperial's response was that this is normal wear on "utilization vehicles" and that 90,000 km is "perfectly standard," offering a 5% discount on a future booking as a "goodwill gesture" – a response I consider completely inadequate.

An experience I cannot recommend: the local representative (Billy's) presumably operates according to standards and policies set by Imperial, so the issue runs through the whole chain, not just one link. Before booking, check the vehicle's condition carefully and photograph everything.

Ho noleggiato un'auto tramite Imperial Car Rental (intermediario), con consegna gestita dal noleggiatore locale Billy's Rent a Car-Van-Moto di Anaxos, per il mio soggiorno a Lesbo. Ho pagato anche un'assicurazione completa a 13€/giorno. Al ritiro, l'auto presentava numerosi danni preesistenti: ammaccature sulla carrozzeria, ruggine sul cofano motore e sui tergicristalli, copricerchi mancanti, volante spellato, fari ingialliti, copertura del bagagliaio assente e telecomando non funzionante (nemmeno una batteria sostituita). L'auto aveva inoltre quasi 90.000 km. Ho documentato tutto con foto al momento della consegna.

Con tutti quei danni preesistenti, verificarne di nuovi è praticamente impossibile — il che rende l'assicurazione ugualmente inutile: si finisce per pagare per danni che comunque non verranno mai riparati.

Dopo il reclamo, la risposta di Imperial è stata che si tratta di normale usura su "veicoli ad uso intensivo" e che 90.000 km sono "perfettamente standard", offrendomi come gesto di "buona volontà" uno sconto del 5% sulla prossima prenotazione – una risposta che considero del tutto inadeguata.

Esperienza che non posso raccomandare: il rappresentante locale (Billy's) opera presumibilmente secondo standard e logiche dettate da Imperial, quindi il problema riguarda l'intera catena, non un singolo anello. Prima di prenotare, verificate bene le condizioni del veicolo e fotografate tutto.

For the third time, I chose Imperial Rent a Car in Athens, and once again they exceeded my expectations. This time I rented a car for 6 days, and everything was absolutely perfect.
From the very first communication to the return of the vehicle, the service was outstanding. The car was spotless, in excellent condition, and exactly as described. The pickup and drop-off process was smooth, quick, and completely stress-free.
What I truly appreciate is their consistency and professionalism every single time I rent from them. It gives me a real sense of trust and reliability, which is very important when choosing a car rental company.
I will definitely choose them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great car rental experience in Athens! 🚗

They wouldn’t return my deposit because the number of my card was different for some reason. I had to show them a statement and argue about it until they return my money.

I hired a full-size car from Imperial Vehicle Hire because I have a family and needed a vehicle suitable for long-distance business travel. Instead, they delivered a Ford Fiesta — completely the wrong class of car and nowhere near large enough for my needs.

When I called to get it exchanged, the person on the phone was rude, dismissive, and showed no interest in correcting their mistake. When I then asked for the incorrect car to be collected, I was told, “we won’t be doing that.”

I was genuinely shocked by the poor attitude and lack of professionalism. Mistakes can happen, but refusing to take responsibility and treating customers this way is unacceptable.

I would strongly advise others to avoid Imperial Vehicle Hire — their customer service is appalling, and they clearly don’t care about customer satisfaction or doing the right thing.

I strongly advise against renting from Imperial Naxos. I paid for a larger car that they did not have available, and instead of providing a proper solution, they gave me a downgrade with a laughable €20 discount. To make matters worse, upon returning the car they noticed a very small scratch and told me it would be considered a minor issue with at most a minimal charge. However, they later withheld €200 from me without justification.

This company is unprofessional, dishonest, and operates in a deceptive way. Save yourself the frustration and go with a different provider – Imperial Naxos is not to be trusted.

We had reserved two cars, one for ourselves and one for a couple of friends, for the same rental period, each under a different name and email address. We received separate confirmation emails and two distinct reservation numbers.

However, when we arrived, we were told that only one car had been reserved because the bookings “looked the same” due to the identical rental period. Despite the fact that the reservations were made with different names and email addresses, they had unilaterally decided to cancel one without informing us.

When we called, they initially said they would resolve the issue by finding another car, but then they completely disappeared.

It’s almost impossible to find an available rental car on this small Greek island in August, and this situation has completely ruined our vacation.

For anyone renting a car in Paros, Greece, through Imperial Car Rental, be very careful.
The local agency (Car Station) used by the Company is run by two impostors—one, Johnny, a bald guy, and the other, a fat, bearded guy—who lie about their terms and conditions and, even for minor damages to the car, force the renter to pay very high (and undue) penalties. Avoid at all costs!

Hired a car through imperial for 2 days whilst staying in Zante, the whole process was so easy and affordable. I paid an extra €8 a day for the full insurance package which wavered any excess if there had been an accident. One company wanted to charge a staggering €1,000!

Do not recomment, cheeky customer service, not polite at all. Wouldn't be surprise for me if it was a scam.

Servizio perfetto e puntualissimo. Prezzi onesti. Ci hanno portato l'auto di fronte all'alloggio e l'hanno ripresa all'aeroporto. Veramente impeccabili!

A terrible rental.
We had a car ordered at this 7 -day rental on the island of Samos.
The reservation took place 14 days before arrival.
However, no one expected at the airport and when we contacted the rental after half an hour of waiting, they just told us that their probably one car had an accident, and offered us a car more than three times more expensive, which of course we did not accept.
If it was true with the accident, they would certainly contact us themselves, and they didn't expect us to call them half an hour after the planned handover of the vehicle. They just made it up.

We often borrow cars from other loans, but we have not yet met this terrible behavior.
Never again this rental!

No problems! Rented a car for 3 days in Kefalonia, Greece. Saved us about €100 than had we gone through Tui. Car was great condition, only issue was they dropped it off with hardly any petrol, so had to go and fill it up again, which took about 20 minutes, but other than that all was fine. Responded to my online enquiry within minutes. Car was dropped at our hotel at the agreed time. Would use them again.

We hebben een auto gehuurd bij imperial car rental Corfu airport. We werden opgehaald op de airport, alles ging snel, papierwinkel doorlopen en kregen een grotere auto mee.
Bij het inleveren wederom een snelle procedure en werden vlot naar de airport gebracht. Die zit 3 minuten verderop. De borg was binnen 2 dagen retour. Vriendelijke, fijne mensen en geen gedoe. Prima auto ook.

La voiture reçue est dans un piteux état.
Notre sécurité est en danger, la voiture tremble littéralement au dessus de 80 km/h.

Ho noleggiato a Chania(Creta) dal 4 al 15 agosto un’autovettura piccola.
Ho avuto una macchina nuova, il servizio è stato ottimo alle 21.30 sono venuti a prenderci all’aeroporto nonostante chiudessero alle 21 e che fosse domenica.
Ho avuto la necessità di consegnare l’auto 2 ore dopo rispetto all’orario prenotato e hanno dato immediata disponibilità.
Tempestivi nel rispondere alle mie esigenze.
Prezzo conveniente considerando l’alta stagione e i prezzi della zona.
Consiglio sicuramente.
