We’ve just returned from a week at Ikos Kissamos, our first visit to this beautiful new resort but our fifth stay with the Ikos brand. Having experienced several Ikos resorts previously, we arrived with fairly high expectations. Somehow, Ikos Kissamos managed to exceed them.

From the moment we arrived, it was obvious that an enormous amount of thought and care has gone into every aspect of this new resort. What impressed us most, however, was the landscaping and gardens. Considering Ikos Kissamos has only opened this season, the maturity, scale and quality of the planting are quite remarkable. The gardens already feel established, beautifully considered and incredibly tranquil. There is a wonderful balance between the natural surroundings of Crete and the immaculate, sophisticated landscaping that Ikos is renowned for. It’s difficult to believe that this is a brand-new resort.

And that attention to detail really is evident everywhere. Whether it’s the design, the service, the restaurants, the pools, the beach or simply the way the resort flows from one area to another, there is a feeling that every decision has been made with the guest experience in mind.

A particular mention has to go to Alex Simonis. It is abundantly clear just how much Alex genuinely cares about his guests’ experience. His unrelenting attention to detail, his presence around the resort and the way he interacts with guests is exceptional. There is no sense that hospitality is simply a job to him — he genuinely embodies it. During our stay he told us how he’d just come back from the airport personally collecting two guests as they didn’t have a transfer to the resort booked so he just takes it upon himself to get their holiday off to the best start he’s certainly a rare breed. It is also immediately apparent that Alex has been part of the Ikos family for a long time. He seems to embody the ethos of the Ikos brand: warm, professional, approachable, attentive and always looking for ways to make the guest experience that little bit better.

That culture inevitably filters through to the wider team, and it was lovely to see how consistently friendly, professional and genuinely welcoming everyone was throughout our stay.

As we’ve come to expect from Ikos, the food was exceptional. The quality, presentation and choice across the resort were outstanding, and once again Ikos manages to make an all-inclusive experience feel anything but ordinary. Each restaurant has its own character, yet the same high standards run throughout.

The service in the restaurants was equally impressive, with so many members of the team going above and beyond to make meals memorable.

Although every member of the Ikos Kissamos team deserves recognition, we would particularly like to mention:

Ahmed at River Pool, fantastic service with the towels and always with a big smile.
Pedro at Anaya was a pleasure to have looking after us.
Edwardo behind the bar in Azul was master of the cocktails! His Mezcal cocktail creation became my holiday favourite.
Zoe at Fresco, my god she never stops moving constantly ensuring her guests have everything they need whilst leading her restaurant team.
Colin in Fresco who totally threw us with his Irish accent, sorry Colin I thought your were Spanish 😂🙈
Dimitris at Beach Club for always being such a happy soul with a permanent smiling which was infectious.
Chrissi, again at Beach Club who my wife looked forward to chatting to each time we came for lunch (we’re addicted to the chorizo salad).
Simone in Fresco for looking after us so well and keeping my red wine topped up.
Also Suleiman in Fresco and everywhere else like Alex and Zoe he is a Ikos veteran that leads by example and another one who seems to have endless energy.
And finally Konstantinos during our breakfasts at Azul who’s great service and friendly manner was the perfect start to each day.

If we had to find a downside it’s the fact that we now have another Ikos resort that we desperately want to go back to.

The only problem is having enough annual leave to keep pace with all of these beautiful resorts.

Kissamos is truly an exceptional addition to the Ikos family from the spectacular scenery and beautiful layout, to the extraordinary attention to detail, exceptional food and, above all, the team who delivered the Ikos experience everyday and night of our stay.

We arrived as first time guests to Kissamos and left already wondering when we can come back.

Another Ikos stay another outstanding experience.

Our September 2026 stay at Ikos Odisia was arranged over three months of email with the Ikos teams, and it is worth saying that the service before we arrived was as good as the resort itself. Antiopi in Guest Relations carried our file from start to finish. Eleni at Heroes Club confirmed every babysitting evening in advance and made an exception for us on a daytime nanny. Maria and Athina in restaurant reservations fitted a week of 19:30 dinners around two babies' bedtime. Artemis in reservations flagged a deadline we would have missed. Everything promised by email was already in place when we landed. On site, George and the e-Concierge team took over and never dropped it, and we ate in every restaurant on the resort, each one its own experience. The hotel manager, Milos, has built a culture that shows in every one of these people. I work in hospitality in Tel Aviv. This is six star's hotel standard's.

We stayed at Ikos Olivia. The resort was extremely well kept with a number of restaurants for a variety of dining options. There were three pools which were not at all crowded. All staff were diligent in ensuring our needs were met and all seemed genuine in ensuring a quality of service. I was particularly impressed with Beta in the spa treatment and the chef who was happy to provide specific dishes that met our requirements. I would recommend this resort.

This was our second trip the Ikos resorts - this time to newly built at Kissamos. It was a wonderful experience, made extra special by the Deluxe Director Anastasia. Every needs was catered for allowing us to make beautiful family memories. Will definitely visit again.

IKOS ARIA

5 Stars for a truly 5 star holiday experience.
A luxurious special beach holiday for our anniversary.
Ikos Aria was a dream resort far beyond 5 star. From the moment we stepped off the transfer we were treated like royalty and relaxation was instant.
A luxurious garden suite in a quite and secluded location but still just next to one of the 5 pools and delightful surprise of fizz and anniversary cake on our arrival. Nothing was too much trouble, service was second to non and the app was an amazing addition for ordering.
Relaxing on the Beautiful beach taking in the veiw. Damitri became our favourite beach server so cheerful and attentive bring food and drinks.
So many Michelin star restaurants to choose with help from the customer relations on the whats app we were booked into every one over our stay and the food and staff were absolutely amazing.
Ending the week with the sunset cruise which was fun.
We were promised luxury by our travel agent and IKOS Aria definitely delivered, we will defiantly be going back, perhaps to try other locations.

Hotel Review

A beautiful hotel with wonderful service and a lovely atmosphere. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. A special mention goes to Oleksandr — he is exceptionally welcoming, helpful, and always gives great recommendations. The wonderful service and a truly memorable stay! ❤️

Even though this is their new resort, from the moment you arrive and walk into the lobby, you now you are at Ikos. The warm welcome you receive from the staff really does make it feel special.
As this is their first season, there are a few teething issues as you would expect, in the main this centres around service by the pools. I cannot fault the service the staff give you, however there is just not enough of them. They work really hard but Ikos needs to employ more people. This has not been helped by the fact the resort is at 99% occupancy!
Service by the Deluxe Sea Pool was fab and a big call out to all of the team there.
Big call out to Alvaro, who we knew from Odisia in Corfu, and his team for looking after us, and making a memorable holiday for our family.

Our trip this time was to the new Kissamos Ikos hotel. Open only 8 weeks or so this hotel is excellent. Facilities service in particular and quality of amenities. We owe our fabulous week to the manger Alexandros( big thank you ) who did everything physically possible to make any issues disappear as if they hadn’t happened. There were a couple of minor things as with all hotels especially those that are effectively 8 weeks from starting to operate. Food was excellent and all the staff in each restaurant we visited were incredibly polite and helpful. Big shout out to Simone , electra and a few others. We have visited other Ikos resorts and are confident this new one at Kissamos will end up as being a firm favourite in the future. Well worth a visit

Have stayed at a number and have subsequently recommended IKOS Resorts,. am sying at the Porto Petro resort in Mallorca. The resort is located in a very attractive cove. The service ane restaurants are of the usual high standard, Unfortunately the accommodation is spread over a large area. Whilst there is a buggy service it is irregular resulting in wait times of over 20 minutes - this is spoiling an otherwise enoyable holiday - we will not be returning if this service is not improved.

My wife and I returned yesterday from Ikos Oceania and we were truly spoilt. The food was incredible, the facilities were amazing certainly when you combine the attentiveness of the staff who truly embody the meaning of HOME. Special recognition for George at the main pool who was exceptional, remained calm under any unnecessary pressure from rude people and was always smiling and we were sad he wasn't there one day but meant we got to meet Akis who also went above and beyond. Our drinks were never empty, they were chatty, funny and snacks were readily available. Not forgetting young Ensi who was simply adorable and gave us treats.

Rachel at the French restaurant was also a standout and Eleni at the main bar both absoutely brilliant. Once again looked after us to the max and made us laugh lots.

The hotel management made you feel special and regularly took time out to check on us.

We have returned from Ikos Porto petro Majorca it was nice but not fantastic like we have experienced before at other resorts. Disappointed with the lack of entertainment in the evening for adults nothing to do but listen to music in the lobby but with small children running around not great and the amount of young families with babies we just felt out of place I think this resort I’m particularly was geared for young families. There is not much outside of the complex either so just to let you know you will need a car. Overall very disappointing and will think again now about going Ikos again.

Ikos Aria.

We cant fault any member of staff, from housekeeping to bar staff and restaurant staff. The pool bar staff were also so attentive. The evening housekeeping (the cookie man!) was lovely and friendly!

The level of service we received was outstanding.

There were so many stand out staff it’s impossible to name them all, however, Elena our concierge went above and beyond. She was friendly, happy, smiley and we genuinely think she’s one of the most helpful people we have met during our travels. We travel a lot!!

We didn’t get the two girls names in the deluxe lobby bar but they also went above and beyond! My hubby and asked for a drink they’d not heard of, they made it happen!!!

Josh in Olivia, was really helpful with the menu and helped us with the dishes! The churros were amazing!

This was our 2nd visit to an Ikos resort and it certainly won’t be our last.

I don’t think there is anything you would want that Ikos don’t provide!

Ikos Oceania
Staff service was excellent and attentive. Can’t recommend their service enough. BTW, I would like to special thanks to Antigoni Stoumbo who is truly a star and provided excellent service and certainly made it very special for our stay. Also, I can’t thank enough for the hotel doctor on site which she helped me a lot while I was not feeling well during my stay. Definitely we will come back again.

The resort was spotless everywhere. Rooms, restaurants, pools, and public areas were immaculately clean and beautifully maintained. You could really see the attention to detail.
The staff were outstanding. Friendly, professional, and always happy to help without ever being intrusive. Nothing felt like too much trouble, which made the whole experience incredibly relaxing.
Food was excellent with plenty of choice and consistently high quality, and the overall atmosphere was calm, polished, and genuinely luxurious.
Everything just worked perfectly. Clean, organised, welcoming, and exactly what you want from a premium all inclusive holiday.
We couldn’t fault it at all and would absolutely return. Highly recommended.

I have had the pleasure of staying at three of their resorts – Aria, Dassia, and Odisia – and each experience has been exceptional. The level of service, quality of cuisine, and range of facilities were consistently first-class. Every day, guests are made to feel truly valued, with impeccable service and attention to detail throughout.
We look forward to returning this year to experience their newest resort in Crete, which no doubt promises to uphold the same outstanding standards. Highly recommended

Ikos Porto Petro.

A fantastic resort, blown away by the views from almost all directions. Very nice to be within a stones throw of the marina, made for a nice walk.

Then we have the hotel staff. Lydia our host, made sure everything we needed was on hand. Miltos the gym coach, the gym was very well kitted out, but made even better with Miltos who adjusted the sessions to fit my ability. Finally we have Sisa, our children were very enthusiastic every time she walked by at the pool, not only did she always seem to be on hand with another coffee, but also met the enthusiasm of our children with her own. Brilliant resort, brilliant location, made all the more special with the team.

We recently return d from Oceania,

First of all, these guys are a masterclass in service.
Last year we went to Porto petro, and we thought that was good, but Oceania topped it.
Whilst Porto Petro has the advantage of being new, and more modern, Oceania has establiashed a 'baked in' service standard, that will be tough to top, anywhere, ever!...

It started with check in, Petros.. wow, what a guy, I would happily go for a beer with that man. He set the standard.

It felt like the team were our extended family.

"Non alcoholic beers, sir.." you got it... And the mini bar was changed accordingly and topped up daily.

Room service flexibility on dishes for my 3 year old, no problem, whatever you want whenever you want.

I could go on and on. But I won't!

We stayed in Room 7101 at Ikos Andalusia, 11–21 August 2025, paying over €22,000 for nine nights in a Deluxe room. Having stayed with Ikos before, we expected flawless service and a truly luxury experience. Unfortunately, this visit was deeply disappointing.

Positives:
• The Deluxe pool service was excellent, with attentive staff, champagne/gin trolleys, and thoughtful extras like sunglasses cleaning.
• Stella, the massage therapist, deserves particular praise for her professionalism.
• Poolside service for drinks was consistently fast and efficient.

Negatives:
• Food & Wine: Advertised as “Michelin-star designed,” the food was often heavily over-salted and far below expectation. Poolside food was especially poor. Wines were basic supermarket quality (€4–8 bottles) passed off as premium, with Taittinger the only true premium option.
• Safety: Broken glass in a children’s play area remained for over 24 hours despite being reported with photos. Lifeguards were frequently distracted on their phones instead of supervising. We also saw a rat running across a path in broad daylight.
• Noise: Our room was directly over the main bar. Noise levels reached ~65 dB until midnight, more than twice the Spanish legal night-time maximum (30 dB), making it extremely difficult for our children to sleep.
• Service Failures: The PlayStation promised for our children on arrival wasn’t delivered until day 4, and then only had one controller and outdated games. Minibar refills had to be chased daily and often contained non-Deluxe items. Housekeeping was inconsistent — we had only one mug and one dressing gown for most of our stay, despite repeated requests.

We raised all of these concerns directly with management during our stay and afterwards. Ikos acknowledged the issues and offered a refund of €2,000 (less than 10% of the total cost). While better than nothing, we do not believe this reflects the seriousness of the failings we experienced, particularly around safety and our children’s wellbeing.

For a resort marketed at this level, these problems simply should not occur. A very expensive holiday, and sadly, not an experience we would ever repeat.

My family and I recently returned from IKOS Aria.

We have stayed at IKOS resorts many times over the years.

What was a great holiday, friendly and professional staff, beautiful location etc, was marred when I found my SIM card had been taken from my Iphone.

My phone was in my possession at all times apart from a few mornings when I left it charging in the room while at breakfast.

I have since cancelled the SIM but am worried it could have been cloned and I am monitoring the situation for fraudulent use.
