MALISIMA ATENCION AL CLIENTE

Pagué una fortuna por la membresia que te da "descuentos" para alojarse en los hoteles Iberostar.
A la hora de reservar, mi membresia presentaba un error en el sistema con el titular cambiado. Es decir, alguien desde el iberostar mezcló dos membresias. Me recomendaron NO reservar hasta que lo solucionen. Un dia mas tarde cuando voy a reservar, el alojamiento me aumentó en usd 250 y nadie quiere hacerse cargo. NO pude reservar por error de ustedes, y no me estan respetando el precio original. Una verguenza. Por ningun motivo volveria a comprar. La atención es muy mala, tanto telefonicamente como por mail

On February 28, 2022, I joined Iberostar "The Club" in Jamaica as a Black member and paid $44,900. At the time, I was promised numerous benefits. For the first two years, the staff made an effort to keep me happy. However, once my membership was paid in full, the experience quickly declined.

Over the past year, the resort staff have become increasingly rude toward members, and the Club’s customer service representatives are often arrogant and dismissive. They show little interest in member satisfaction and instead seem focused on avoiding their contractual obligations—especially when those obligations benefit members.

The Club rarely honors its price match guarantee, and the promised flight reimbursements are a complete joke. I was promised $1,000 per year for the next 10 years to cover airfare for both me and my wife. For our first trip, I submitted all required documentation and eventually received a check—after waiting six months. For our second trip, I submitted everything again, but after months of silence, I was told that because I didn’t send a confirmation email the previous year acknowledging receipt of the first payment, I would lose this year’s reimbursement. That is completely dishonest and unfair. To make matters worse, the customer service team was rude and unhelpful.

I was also promised complimentary room upgrades, which never happened. The rooms we stayed in were in poor condition, with bug and ant infestations. The food quality has significantly deteriorated, and the restaurant service—especially at Iberostar Selection Bávaro Suites in the Dominican Republic—was extremely disappointing.

One of the main reasons I purchased the membership was the price match guarantee, yet every attempt to use it has been met with excuses and denials. Free transportation, another promised benefit, was also never provided.

To date, not a single promise made during the sales presentation has been fulfilled. I strongly urge anyone considering this membership to stay far away from it.
Do not buy an Iberostar Club Membership—it is a scam.

HORRIBLE customer service

This has been the WORST year as being a member. Ever since they shut down the Miami office, the customer service is horrible. I have an unresolved issue from my stay in January. It is impossible to be allowed to speak to a manager. They will never let you speak to one. I’m still waiting for a resolution since February!! Trying to do price match and the reps didn’t know what he was doing and then I complained about that. Now new one denied me best rate guarantee because it is not the same as i submitted 3 days ago. They beg you to up your membership. With this horrible service I will not even think about upgrading to double black or rose. Each year it is getting worse and am starting regret becoming a member. This is not supposed to be the experience your are supposed to have as a member.

If we’re could give zero stars we would.

We joined the Club in Cancun in 2022. Initially service was great, but they had closed the deal with us. Since then it has been a total nightmare. Customer service is non-existent; As an account holder I’m not allowed to speak to them, only my wife can and the account is somehow in my son’s name.

Holidays can be found on line for exactly the same rooms/dates CHEAPER than via the Club. Our contract states if we find this they will refund difference etc. This has NOT happened. We raised this and were informed that in 2024 they updated “their” contracts/ terms and conditions but HAVE NOT informed anyone, thereby breaching our contract.

The Club changed our payment information which then lead to payments not being processed. We were inundated with warnings of ballifs attending even though the problem was at their end and they KNEW and ACCEPTED it was their fault. No apology whatsoever!!

We were promised credits for staying at their hotels. Never have received any. I note that now owned by IHG their members get huge credits when compared to those that join via Iberostar.

In short, awful. Waste of money. We are likely to take legal action to recover monies paid in and for breach of contract.

For all those that are currently members, review your contracts… they literally have no idea what was in ours and then clearly they change contracts without informing their customers.

They promise “stellar service”… standby to get non-existent and incompetent service.

We love our membership

We love our membership and are glad we joined. As it has been a wonderful decision that has and will continue to benefit our family by saving us alot of money, allowing us to travel more often, all while enjoying the extra benefits. We have been members since the beginning. Everyone should take the time to listen to what they offer as only you and nobody knows what will work for you and your family. The only way the membership will not benefit you and your family is if you do not use it. Our membership quickly paid for itself. Our family will continue to enjoy all the benefits for the next 25+ years for free while continuing to save us money every time we travel to Iberostar. I do not know or understand how anyone can call it a scam. We have always received what is in our contracts plus more. Is the membership perfect? No, nothing is but what makes the Club special is they truly try to fulfill all members needs while listening to all members feedback. We would definitely join all over again. We recommend anyone who loves Iberostar to hear what they to say. One of the best parts of the membership has been the priceless memories and friendships we have enjoyed along the way.

The Club membership has been amazing

We originally joined the Club at Iberostar Grand Bavaro in February 2022. We came here as non-members, not knowing anything about the Club. We had a fantastic time at the resort, enjoying the beach, the food, the drinks, the entertainment, and the location. We thought this was a place we would like to come back to. We attended the presentation and have enjoyed the benefits of being a member of the Club. In 24 months since joining the Club, we have made 13 trips to 6 different Iberostar resorts, enjoying the club's benefits. This has allowed us to have unforgettable vacations with our friends and family. We have created family memories that will last for generations, and you can’t even put a price tag on them.
I will be honest. Initially, I didn’t know what the membership would provide besides discounts. Wow, it's so much more. I knew I made the right decision on my first trip as a club member. We loved the resorts before being members, but I’ve had a much better experience as a member. It’s being treated like your family. The staff knows you by name right away, even to resorts that we have just been to once. They go out of their way to ensure you are having a fantastic time and keep checking up to ensure you are happy.
The Club has many different levels, denoted by color. We joined at the Black level, which was more geared to our choice of Adults-Only All-Inclusive resorts. We could also go to the family-friendly ones, but we wanted to stay mainly at the Grands (Now called JOIA). Since joining, we have been so happy that we upgraded to the Double-Black level and recently to the highest tier, Rose Gold. We have had no regrets about either upgrade. We have already saved more in what we received as Club members than we paid for the initial membership plus the two upgrades. I keep an Excel sheet of all my trips, denoting the savings that we get as club members, and this has been a great payback. Now, here is the best: our children can use our membership as our beneficiaries and get all the benefits of the club themselves. We have already broken even and have another 27 years ahead of us to save even more.
When you are a member, you get access to Star Prestige. It's more than just being taken good care of; it's improving the quality of your vacation. It’s ensuring the little things are taken care of, sometimes even before you get to the resort. Ensure that your transportation to/from the hotel is done, have your daily massages scheduled before you arrive, have dinner reservations when and where you want, sit in the private beach area, and have dedicated staff to adhere to your needs. Star Prestige is the Club, and they make a good vacation great. In addition, we have made some wonderful friends through the club and now go on vacation with them.

We are so happy to be members of the Club and how we have been treated as Members. Given the option to do it again or not, I wouldn’t hesitate to make the same decisions again and join the Club.

Excellent Value at an Excellent Hotel Company.

We joined The Club in 2017 and it has been great for us. The upfront costs have already been realized and we have many more years left on the contract. The discount hotel rates worldwide and the value of Star Prestige are well worth the investment. The more you travel, the more you will benefit.

We saved the cost of the membership in only 4 years ! Its real if you know how to use it . We found going to the club hq , all issues eventually get resolved

Iberostar Membership Scam

Please don't buy into the Iberostar Club Membership or promptly cancel if you have already purchased and are still within the time frame to cancel.

I have been a member for several years now. Evertime I try to get a price match based on there "price match guarantee" I am promptly denied. They will find any reason to deny your request. For the price of the membership you do not get enough value if they do not honor the price match guarantee.

If you want pay tens of thousands of dollars to pay more for the same hotel then buy away!

IBEROSTAR LAGUNA AZUL CUBA DECEPCIONANTE
1. La reserva en los restaurantes de especialidades resultó imposible, a menos que llegaras el sábado. Esto se debe a que el domingo por la mañana se abren las reservas para toda la semana, permitiendo que los clientes ya alojados ocupen todas las pocas reservas disponibles. Además, el día del registro no se permiten reservas en estos restaurantes y solo están abiertos para cenar. Para colmo, la última noche en el japonés, al cocinero le salieron dos mini cucarachas de la comida e intento matarlas sin que nos diésemos cuenta, pero finalmente empezaron a pasearse por la mesa. Si la parte de cliente ya tiene ese aspecto, no quiero saber cómo estará la cocina.
2. La calidad de la comida fue muy baja, aunque entendemos las limitaciones en Cuba, esperábamos una mejor experiencia, especialmente comparada con otros establecimientos en Trinidad o La Habana. Además, notamos que los restaurantes de especialidades ofrecían la misma comida que el buffet libre, simplemente presentada de manera diferente.
3. A pesar de la publicidad en línea que promocionaba barbacoas de langosta y otros platos, no tuvimos la oportunidad de disfrutar de estas opciones. Cuando indagamos al respecto, recibimos una respuesta sarcástica de un cocinero, lo cual refleja una falta de atención al cliente.
4. Las actividades acuáticas no se llevaron a cabo y encontramos los barcos y kayaks cadenados en la playa. El personal no brindó una explicación satisfactoria, simplemente indicaron que el equipo del recinto náutico no estaba disponible.
5. Las actividades recreativas como yoga y baile fueron escasas y solo se llevaron a cabo después de presentar una queja al servicio de atención al cliente.
6. También encontramos problemas en el mantenimiento de nuestras instalaciones, incluyendo problemas con la cerradura de nuestra habitación, falta de limpieza adecuada y áreas del hotel que parecían abandonadas o en mal estado.
7. La actitud de los empleados es lamentable respecto al cliente, hay que rogar para que te sirvan una bebida o que te ayuden con cualquier pregunta relacionada con el hotel.
8. Bebidas había básicamente agua, ron y esporádicamente algún refresco. En los 4 días no pudimos tomar ningún mojito de verdad, ya que no había ni agua con gas ni Sprite, todos se hicieron con agua normal.
A pesar de estas deficiencias, reconocemos que la ubicación del hotel ofrece acceso a una hermosa playa con vistas a los cayos, aunque este aspecto es común en otros establecimientos de la zona. Y el único punto a favor, es de verdad la amabilidad de algunos empelados, como los de atención al cliente (si fuesen todos como ellos, la estancia hubiese cambiado mucho) y el director del hotel, que en todo momento estaba atento y haciendo lo máximo que puede con el estado de este hotel. Ellos son lo único positivo que nos llevamos.

MEMBERSHIP SCAM CLUB

MEMBERSHIP SCAM CLUB. My husband check our credit and saw we was double charged for first payment, was hell to get someone on the ph and emails. Finally an email and phone call was answered, we told them that to cancel our membership due to there lazy response and before the 5 day grace. We'll that didn't finish 2 weeks after there is an email for cancel but the amount credit was wrong. They took 390.00 dollars for the band, when asked we got the run around, tried talked to quintin and jamila the 2 fraudsters whom was the main stars in this said we was charged for the band and was told that. BIG LIE, we did this 1 day before we leave, stayed in the same room checked into, and didn't use there membership lounge. We have been asking for documents on writing showing the policy, haha they have none. Bunch of fraudsters. Be careful with these people any way you go and here it's ibroster membership club, they act well to follow all especially the older ones.

JUST DONT DO IT. DO NOT BUY A MEMBERSHIP UNDER ANY CERCUMSTANCES. THIS IS A SCAM
We bought a membership on our last trip because we feel in love with the resort. I have been trying to book a trip for the last week and have been put on hold and hung up on I can't even tell you. it's so stressful, pay the extra money and call your travel agent. Its not that much more.

A well thought out scam

Have been a member for several years and mostly enjoyed the experience. Within the last couple years they created a free membership version. One of the perks is 25% off the lowest rate on iberostar.com. Their free membership prices are on iberostar.com.
They will not honor their own contract on a false claim that those rates are not public rates.
Essentially I've paid almost 6 figures to get a 10% discount for what anyone gets for free.
It's crazy to me that will not honor their own wording, but I'm looking into legal repercussions.
Do not purchase this membership under any circumstances. You can pay a little more for the services they offer in the membership and it will never equal what you pay for the membership itself.

Best value of any AI chain we could find !7 years member review. There is a great FB group by members for members only called Iberostar The Club Members Group

This is the best decision we have ever made ! We get incredible discounts and great perks . You gotta use it to get the benefit . Highly recommended if you love worldwide Iberostar and at cheaper prices than anyone else. Its not a vacation timeshare ! Those who say its a scam are clueless on how to use it .

"The Club" is a scam!

I have to start by saying my husband and I love the Iberostar Playa Pariso. We have vacationed there year after year for 15 years. We have also vacationed at other Iberostar resorts in other countries.

In November 2016 my husband and purchased a membership to "The Club" at the Iberostar Playa Pariso Maya. Our story is so much like all of the others I have seen. "The Club" is a scam. We have had nothing but problems since we returned home. We have contacted customer service several times without resolution. The prices and benefits shown to us by Danny Vasquez and Vitaly Fergyn don't exist. They were straight up lies.The prices are better on Travelocity. We are so disappointed. We really expected more from Iberostar. I cannot believe that Iberostar is allowing "The Club" and their salespeople to ruin their reputation.

If you stay at a Iberostar resort, my advise would be to avoid "The Club" and its salespeople. It is a scam and is definitely not worth the huge price tag that comes with it.
