Cooker blew un Sunday. Chose a new one Monday.
Delivered Tuesday. What more can I Say. Helpful friendly service in the Showroom by John who sorted out for us what we needed. Delivered by two very friendly delivery people. Always go to Herbert Todd they can't be beaten for courtesy, quality and service

Cheaper and better service than elsewhere. Got my washing machine £50 cheaper than a well known online retailer with two vowels in the name and got it the same day. Will definitely use them again.

It was annoying that the website allowed me to order click-and-collect from Acomb even though that branch is not open at the moment. I only found out when I turned up there.

The telephone order for an electric Beko free standing double oven and hob was dealt with in a professional and efficient manner. The cooker was to be delivered 2 days later within an afternoon 3 hour time slot. The 2 delivery men arrived and were respectful of social distancing. They connected and ensured the cooker was working before they left, taking all packaging with them. It was a quick and efficient service and I would fully recommend Herbert Todd to everyone. Purchased a TV for 89 year old mother with dementia. Excellent customer service personnel who organised delivery and installation. I raised a number of potential problems and was left reassured that all these would be sorted. The TV engineer arrived on time, was very polite and patient. I have nothing but the highest praise for the staff of Herbert Todd and Son.

Great local business offering a good range of products at a competitive price. I’d much prefer to support local small business than the huge corporations who like to avoid paying tax.

Do not use this company. I bought a £2500 oven from them, which one of their employees said would be 'wrapped well' for delivery.

It wasn't even strapped to the pallet and I don't know what these morons thought a single sheet of bubble wrap was going to do to protect the cooker.

Subsequently, the oven was badly damaged in transit. The flue on the back was completely mangled, 3 of the 4 pan stands were broken and the one that wasn't doesn't even fit this cooker. This is just the tip of the iceberg. In total the cost of the parts needed to repair this oven (before labour costs) is £1600+

H Todd refused to help with an exchange / partial refund to cover repair costs and ignored my emails. The guy i spoke with (who I can't name here) is a real scumbag.

Thankfully Rangemaster were helpful (even though it wasn't their responsibility) and have helped me to replace the oven. But as far as Herbert Todd and Son goes - steer well clear.

Despicable, evil and immoral.

- yes you told me to organise my own courier.
- no you didn't advise me to take out insurance.
- i did take out insurance, but that did not cover the full cost of the cooker.
- I told you to wrap the cooker well with 'anything and everything' and that i was happy to pay extra for the packaging. You told me the cooker would be 'wrapped well' and that it would be on a pallet. What else should i have told you to do?
- the oven was not shrink wrapped. It was not attached to the pallet. the cardboard you put on it was not secured. The single layer of bubble wrap was held on with a few bits of tape and had moved in transit. As i explained to the scumbag - if i sold a box of eggs to someone and then posted them in an envelope, i wouldn't blame royal mail if they suffered damage in transit. It. is. your. fault.
- i did not accuse you of sending a damaged cooker. I accused you of not wrapping it sufficiently.
- You didn't offer to refund the cooker, or pay for repairs, we agree on this. But did you offer a partial refund? or to pay for a percentage of the repairs? Did you offer any assistance at all. No. All you did was tell me to go sort it myself and then ignored me from then on in. So yes, you did refuse to help didn't you?
- i wrote you several emails, asking you to do the right thing. Not once did you respond with any sort of olive branch. This is unforgivable.
Shame on you.

Everyone has been so helpful, considering I made a mistake in my ordering of a freezer. Very helpful with re-ordering and speedy re-imbursement when the cost was less than originally paid. Kept me posted about delivery date.

The tumble dryer was delivered was delivered a day earlier than expected by very efficient and obliging men. Totally pleased.

Dyson in stock when unable to find it anywhere else. Delivery arranged speedily and arrived right on time. Excellent service and very competative price. Highly recommend.
