Their claims on ancestry are just complete lies. I know exactly where my family name originates from, and these guys are just blatantly lying!

House of Fairytales
I just came across this site while googling my village, and was surprised to find a less than accurate history of said village being stated as fact.
If you're not certain, just say so, don't sell stuff as fact when it's clearly not properly researched.
Put it in Chatgpt
Put it in Chatgpt, nothing they claim is reliable or relevant information to the names and the crests are make believe
It doesn't get any better than this
I have been so pleased -every time I ordered, the order arrived promptly and was very well-packaged. All the merchandise was top quality.
Unreserved Disappointment
Very easy to order products and although the quality is ‘poor’ to be fair, the most significant aspect was the disappointing cost of freight and would request more products but will bypass and look at competition.
Well thought out scam. Did'nt have any motto's correct in our bloodline. NONE.
Well thought out scam. If you send this to them, the scam will deepen with a few alterations.
Be warned
Be warned - House of Namesets are the worst customer service I've ever encountered.
I spoke to customer service once but then they abruptly stopped responding to my emails . I ordered 3 items and received 2 items only but paid for 3..
I strongly recommend avoiding this scam company.
Vague Generic content & Wrong Order Received
***Updating to a 3 star review after receiving a full refund ***
I bought 2 x pdfs for two different surnames. I received 2 pdfs for the same surname. The information within is vague and undetailed. Nothing to see here really. Hopefully they respond and refund me. I will update if they do.

Never received it. Asking about a tracking number, I got told, small parcels get send without one.
Never again!
Sales of meaningless tat!
It amuses me the House of Names offers to sell me the Ancient JAGGER Coat of Arms for what is an an occupational name from Yorkshire for a pedlar.
I'm sure that my ancestors all had it painted on the side of their carts!
Cheap sales gimmicks targeting those with grand ideas of their ancestral past.

Scam site
Scam site. Period. I looked up several well researched names in my own ancestry whose origins are well known within my own family through well kept historical records of family members with whom I am personally very well acquainted, if not through personal relationships. at most through second hand knowledge from those with whom I have been personally in frequent contact, who knew the originators of said knowledge personally. Not a single piece of knowledge well known to my family exists anywhere on this site. The site is deliberately designed to scam users out of personal funds with supposedly well researched documentation of which there is no way to review before purchasing. Sure, they post a "guarantee of authenticity," which is 100% worthless. Worthless because, yes, the information provided IS most likely accurate, but will tell you ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about your personally specific line of ancestry. Avoid these scammers. Block their website if you know how. That is my advice. Garbage is all they sell.
Ireland Obsessed Site
Useful up to a point, but there is one VERY annoying thing about this site. If anyone sailed westward into Ireland at any point in history, apparently that makes their surname at least partly Irish.
Loads of very Scottish, English And Welsh names have Irish flags beside them. Usually, when you click on the flag, it'll say that some people with that name moved to Ireland, like as if that is relevant. No wonder so many people across the Atlantic think they are Irish if this is all it takes to make a surname Irish.
Might be helpful to some people
Might be helpful to some people, but the "search" results that they throw into a PDF file is nothing but generic internet info on the "popular" people with that same last name. They do NOT tailor the research to your family line. My specific family line came to America in 1851 and moved to Wisconsin by 1854. The results this website gave me was for other families lines that came to America in the 1700's in Pennsylvania. If you want to waste $13 for false information, then go for it like I did.
Don't waste your money.
I received the framed coat of arms with history as a birthday gift. Of course, I did not expect my family name to have a real coat of arms, but I was surprised that they mocked up a "Coat-of-arms" looking thing but decided that this would be coat of arms without a motto. Had the print not been framed, I would have hand printed "Non satis magni momenti habere sententiam" ("Not important enough to have a motto"). Regardless, I decided to hang the gift so when my relative visits, they will know I appreciated the gesture. The cheap frame chipped in several places so now i have a fake coats of arms hung in a poorly made frame. Think twice before wasting tour money here.

I purchased a t-shirt with our family coat of arms on the front. The shirt I ordered was to have a bright blue emblem. The shirt sent to me was a washed-out purple color. Not happy with this company.
Do Not Purchase with Frames
I purchased 3 Double Armorial History framed prints for each of my 3 kids. The Prints are beautiful. BUT...I wish I had of purchased the prints without the frames. The frames are super cheap, whatever their made of, was dinged and very soft. The first one arrived with 2 sides of the frame unhinged. I contacted the Company and they sent me a frame to replace. AND it was no better. The same with the other 2. My Son-in-law took theirs to be reframed costing $110.00. I spent $450- and the prints would have been under $100. It is very embarrassing to give a gift and for it ending up looking cheap.

This firm clearly simply picks up the first reference it googles on the web, then states it as the primary source, along with a random derived coat of arms - if you want accurate information go elsewhere.
Unresponsive and lazy.
Unresponsive and lazy.
Before purchase of the product I contacted the company myself asking if the item would be aimed at Americans or if it could be more aimed towards English ancestors as I know the is an ancestor that fought at Agincourt in the early 1500s.
Practically did their job for them yet had zero response to two emails, probably because they know their item is garbage. The end product has no information pre 1600 , the info i enlightened them about is misssing and the item is poor quality.
The family crest is cartoon like, the book on the history of the name and crest looks like it is a child’s school project and the whole thing is tacky and not one bit befitting of being on the wall. They should be ashamed.
