This site is a scam. They don't get your email right to send you a confirmation number. They are way to pricey. They booked me in the wrong city. And charged me almost half again as much as anyone else. I emailed way before my cancellation date saying that since I had not received a confirmation number I was cancelling. But I still got charged 526.66 on my card and they won't take it off.DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE PEOPLE. Best choice is if you know the motel. Book your self.

Quite simply the most disorganized travel agency we've ever used. Had to use the American Express dispute system to force the refund that they'we committed to in writing a month prior (and it took my wife multiple attempts and several hours to get that in writing). They are not malicious, but if you treasure your time, contract somewhere else.

Live in Canada, went to website of a Canadian hotel. Booked reservation and did not read the fine print on the checkout page. Received confirmation email from reservations.com with the rate in USD. After returning home, discovered USD14.99 "booking fee" on my credit card statement. Called reservations.com and told that booking fee is on the checkout page and could not be refunded, even though no mention of booking fee USD14.99
on the confirmation email. First, deception in disguising as hotel website, Second, deception in fine print booking fee. I shall hotel direct in future. Booking online is a minefield of EXTRA and HIDDEN charges. Hope this helps others avoid the extra costs/frustration I experienced.

Fraudulent company. Disguised themselves as the actual hotel. My wife thought she was making a reservation directly with Comfort Suites. They misrepresented the reservation and charged at least $100 more than our understanding of what the charge would be. We never received any documentation so we are having difficulty disputing the charge with our credit card company. Hotel could not gives us a receipt, either, because they said it was booked through Expedia (which it was not). Be very careful when making hotel reservations on-line - check the URL so you know who you are dealing with.

Also known as getaroom.com, they took a booking for a hotel which we had to attend a wedding at.They took full payment by card, sent confirmation email that the reservation was made, then 15 DAYS LATER I received an email to say that our 3 Star rated hotel was fully booked but they could put us in another, Unrated, hotel 9 MILES AWAY, AT NO EXTRA COST! Weekend ruined, cancelled and now waiting to see if I ever get my money back. AVOID THESE SCAMMERS AT ALL COSTS

They claim that you can cancel your reservations but fail to tel you about the 14.99 hidden fee that they charge when you cancel.!! I didn't even cancel I just change dates and they charged me!

Call the hotel directly, even if it's last minute.

A hidden additional $14.99 fee popped up on my credit card and when I called to question and get a receipt for, they said "they could not send any receipt" but would refund it. This is so SKETCHY. I hope companies like this go out of business ASAP!

I thought I was booking directly on hotel's website and later found out it was from this horrific company.

I thought I was booking directly with Planet Hollywood in Vegas because I was on their website. A help box popped up and I thought it was from PH. I was given a direct number to call to book the room. I made the reservation and expected an immediate email confirmation. After about 30 minutes, I called the number back to ask. There was no record of my reservation!!! I then saw where the web address was now hotel reservations.com. I freaked!! Quickly began checking reviews and became very angry. I told the customer service rep what I had discovered in the reviews and I was going to report them if my reservation wasn't found and confirmed. I was put on hold for a LONG time, transferred to a manager and I gave him a piece of my mind as well. Put on hold for another 5 minutes but suddenly my reservation was found and an email would be sent immediately. I told him as soon as I hung up the phone I was calling PH directly and my reservation had better be good. I did call PH and the lady I talked with there confirmed my reservation. Said it had JUST came across. Poor lady, I asked her many times if this was PH directly and not another company I was talking with...Even tho I had looked up the PH number myself.
I believe, at first, I was going to be one of those people who arrived at their hotel only to find there was no reservation. It was only when I realized who I was dealing with and I made credible threats, that my reservation was put through explaining why I didn't get an email confirmation at first and then was put on hold while this lousy company scrambled to make my reservation. Oh and although they didn't see where I had a reservation, they did still have my credit card information. If I could have canceled without this company charging me excessive fees, I would have. Deceitful beyond words.

I had a very similar experience with this company. Charge in USD but don't show it until you get a receipt. Also received a fishing scam call shortly after booking from an Expedia affiliate (reservations.com is an affiliate for them) and they had all of my booking information.

Called their support about it and the rep kept calling me by a different name and being totally unhelpful and refusing to look into why my data was shared with a third party or where the security breach occurred.

They did keep offering to cancel my booking which is no help because the bookings are non-refundable.

Deceitful company that hides extra charges and disguise as the hotel that you would like to sty. WAY more expensive that other websites. It merely books through Expedia and charges you extra.

customer service was lame. Did not provide the refund still charged me anyways, I ended up paying the hotel twice. I would never use this site again - straight up rip off.

I was booking a room with the Paramount Hotel in Oregon and thought I was in the hotel site because the link said theparamountHotel.reservations.com. Unfortunately the site is actually reservations.com. I had no intention to book a room through them. I was tricked and my credit card was charged $14.99. This is a rip-off!

EliasB&B.. We had a min family vacation and stayed at this hotel. We loved the room, breakfast was very nice, and the decor is wonderful. Nice change to the same old boring hotels. More character and lots of charm. Wonderful, helpful and warm staff! Had a great time! We had a Queen Suite with additional bed available in the couch. Kitchen nook was very nice!

The person on the phone lead me to believe I was speaking directly with the hotel, not with a separate reservations company.

Reservations booked through this service DO NOT add points towards your rewards! (ie. Marriott, etc)

Recently, I have booked a hotel through their website. While booking it shows that cancellations is free. Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to cancel the reservation. These people charged $14.99 as service fee. I am NOT sure what are these services. This is a fraud portal. Don't book any hotels through them.

I needed a one night stay booked in Vegas. After going to the internet to get the number for Circus Circus, and hitting the call button, I was connected to a booking service. I thought this odd, but when I questioned her, she assured me that all bookings go through them. Once we arrived at the hotel, they had no reservation for us...even with my confirmation email. After sitting on hold for 20 minutes with the booking company, I was forced to call back. Long story short, this took me an extra hour to check in. The thing I'm most upset about is being made to believe I was talking directly to the hotel booking. Not cool.

Our stay was very nice, the hotel was very clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. Our only problem was the toilet if you didn't jiggle the handle it ran. The breakfast was amazing we would definitely choose them again.

I have been charged $5.00 over what my Intinery.

I had traveled to Ukiah with 3 other families in mid Sep 2014. 3 of the 4 of us made reservations through GetaRoom and the 4th directly with the hotel. On arrival at the hotel, we were asked to pay again. The front desk person claimed that was the policy and advised us to get a refund from GetaRoom. Further, the hotel charged approx 35% lower than what we were charged by GetaRoom.

On our return from the trip, each of the 3 of us approached GetaRoom (or HotelReservations.com - they go by many names). Two of them got refunds from them. I was told that I should get the refund from the hotel and not from them. I explained to them that the others were also in conversation with them and had been promised a full refund by them and not by the hotel, but to no avail. I did get the refund from the hotel but in the process ended up paying $272 instead of $199 which the hotel was charging.
