At Hope Macaulay, we blend innovation with tradition to create feel-good knitwear that is handcrafted and mindfully made. We proudly celebrate local craftsmanship in our home of Northern Ireland. Hope Macaulay is a family-run, woman-owned contemporary luxury fashion brand, founded by textiles designer Hope Macaulay on the beautiful North Coast of Northern Ireland. Just two years after graduating, Hope Macaulay emerged in 2020 as an inspiring, slow fashion, global brand, hailed by the fashion world as dopamine dressing. What began as Hope knitting alone in her bedroom has expanded into a team of 20 skilled knitters working from home across Northern Ireland, helping keep the traditional cottage industry alive. Hope is best known for her creation of the signature statement piece, the Colossal Knit Cardigan. Unable to find pieces to make from other’s knitting patterns, she developed her own method, just by using her hands. By mastering a unique knitting technique that uses no needles, Hope has trained her knitters to create her designs, her favourites made from sustainably sourced materials like luxury merino wool. Hope’s energetic and surreal designs have been featured in major fashion publications, such as Vogue, GQ, Sports Illustrated, Vanity Fair, and the New York Times, and have adorned celebrities including Gigi Hadid, Naomi Osaka, Jennifer Hudson, Black Pink’s Lisa and Rosalía. Her influence and dedication to mindful, local craftsmanship has also earned her a spot on the prestigious Forbes 30 Under 30 list. Despite the rapid growth and international acclaim, Hope remains dedicated to her roots in Northern Ireland. She continues to support local women by providing them with meaningful work and maintaining a close-knit supply chain. My beautiful colossal knit arrived very speedily only a few days after ordering. It was packaged exquisitely with a card signed by the lovely lady who knitted it. To say I was extremely pleased is an understatement. Beautiful garment extremely high quality that is a one off. Can't wait to wear it. I highly recommend this company

Beautiful and colourful cardigan
My Daydream cardigan is beautiful. It was beautifully packed in its box so it arrived safely, I love it!! Size wise, I’m normally a size10/12 and the medium/large size fits me perfectly with enough room to close at the front.

Beautiful product, appalling customer care.
The product when it arrived was fab. I had to pick it up 13 days after you shipped it to Ireland. Your team said the delivery was 'out of your control'... this cardigan cost a lot of money( to me at any rate), and the customer care element of your operation needs a lot of work. For future customers please be aware Fedex customer service will only speak to account holders so maybe your team could help out in that regard. For a premium priced item, your customer care is appalling. So sorry to have to write this.
