Hope Macaulay is a family-run, woman-owned contemporary luxury fashion brand, founded by textiles designer Hope Macaulay on the beautiful North Coast of Northern Ireland. Just two years after graduating, Hope Macaulay emerged in 2020 as an inspiring, slow fashion, global brand, hailed by the fashion world as dopamine dressing. What began as Hope knitting alone in her bedroom has expanded into a team of 20 skilled knitters working from home across Northern Ireland, helping keep the traditional cottage industry alive. Hope is best known for her creation of the signature statement piece, the Colossal Knit Cardigan. Unable to find pieces to make from other’s knitting patterns, she developed her own method, just by using her hands. By mastering a unique knitting technique that uses no needles, Hope has trained her knitters to create her designs, her favourites made from sustainably sourced materials like luxury merino wool. Hope’s energetic and surreal designs have been featured in major fashion publications, such as Vogue, GQ, Sports Illustrated, Vanity Fair, and the New York Times, and have adorned celebrities including Gigi Hadid, Naomi Osaka, Jennifer Hudson, Black Pink’s Lisa and Rosalía. Her influence and dedication to mindful, local craftsmanship has also earned her a spot on the prestigious Forbes 30 Under 30 list. DO NOT PURCHASE IF US CUSTOMER! I purchased the colossal knit cardigan in size small. I had to pay $100 import fee to receive the item. When I received it, I didn't like how the sweater's seams were so bulky on the side. I couldn't comfortably have my arms at my sides. This began the saga of trying to return the sweater. I asked the company how to return the sweater and followed their instructions to the letter! Then I was hit with ANOTHER import fee to return the sweater! I have spent over $300 on import fees and return shipping and the company has been 0 help. I finally got my refund for the sweater but I should have just kept it because it cost me $300 to return it!

Beautiful cardigan was very lucky I managed to get mine whilst it was only 6 weeks waiting list!!!
Love the tracker to keep me updated and the timing was perfect and as advised.

I love the cardigan I purchased from Hope Macaulay but there was no "customer service" I placed my order I received a standard email to notify me of my order, and that was it apart from the generic sales advert emails, I was not sent an email (yes I checked spam) to notify me my order had been dispatched......

Despite the longer lead time due to their high volume of orders it still arrived in about 4 weeks, which seeing as though they're all made to order I was really pleased with!
The cardigan is absolutely incredible, the colours are stunning, the feel is so soft and I love the weighted nature of it.. it really feels so luxurious!! Thank you so much to all at Hope Macaulay, especially Lucinda who hand knitted my cardigan!
The only problem is I just wanna buy them all now!
