All our products are carefully selected and pass through a rigorous taste test by our team of dedicated expert tasters. We only have two criteria: is it delicious? is it excellent value for money? With up to 90% of products tasted being rejected, you can have confidence that if we sell it, it must be good. In addition, we guarantee a fair deal for producers. We give back more by working as directly as possible with them, bypassing middlemen wherever we can. As such, we are very much a producer first company. We want to ensure the wonderful people who make the drinks we love so much have their stories told and told well. No one goes into making drinks for the money, it's about passion, vocation, dedication and love. This should always be celebrated and nurtured. We do everything we can to ensure our customers receive the best service possible but once we hand over a package to DPD, we have to rely on them to uphold our extremely high standards. Regrettably this doesn't always happen which we appreciate can be very frustrating.
Our Trustpilot ratings mean a huge amount to a small business like ours so of course, anything less than 5 stars is a real disappointment.
We've looked into using other carriers in the past but on balance DPD still offer the best service available. Unfortunately, this means there really isn’t anything we could have done to have avoided this issue. Sometimes delivery drivers don’t quite get it right. As such, we can only apologise for the inconvenience.
We hope you enjoyed your Calvados nonetheless and hope to welcome you back to hometipple again very soon.
