Ease of use. Good web site. I have not had to claim yet so cannot comment on this aspect. 2 years running they have given me a great renewal quote so I have not had to spend hours on the comparison sites again.

I have only been with Home Protect for one year
I have only been with Home Protect for one year, this is my second. I cannot comment on how easy or hard it is to make a claim if necessary as fortunately that has not arisen and hopefully will not!
However, should a claim have to be made, I will re-post for good or bad.
So, within my limited experience I can only say that taking out my first policy was one of the easier tasks and the price was competitive and saved me some good pounds compared to my previous insurer....a main bank.

Renewal process was straightforward and, although there was a price increase, it was reasonable rather than extravagant. They also have a policy that meets my slightly unusual needs at a decent price.

My elderly aunt has moved into a care home and as a consequence her home was to be unoccupied for some time.
Home protect was recommended to me by a friend who had used them.
Obtaining cover was straight forward and the policy price was reasonable. A bonus was that it came with emergency cover.

Dont buy insurance from them
Dont buy insurance from them. Purchased contents cover with accidental damage cover with excess of £365 due to a high value item (tv). Submitted a claim for accidental damage of different tv and xbox was told claim would progress and was past to another company who repair or replace. Both items already disposed as didn't work. Said was no claim as not covering xbox only tv and cost to replace tv less than excess. What is the point of this. The tv they costed for was discontinued so how does this count absolute ripoff. Save your money, no mention of why not covering xbox maybe because they couldn't send someone out to try repair.

Very poor service ALL ROUND
Very poor service ALL ROUND, FELT HASSLED WHEN REPORTING A FAULT WITH MY OVEN, I FEEL THAT I WAS MISSLEAD WHEN TAKING OUT THE COVER.
NOT MUCH SENCE IN THE MEANS OF AN OUTCOME.
WHEN I GET TIME TO CANCEL THE COVER.
