SHAME FOR HOMEnFUN BARCELONA AND BAD REFERENCE FOR BOOKING
The worst experience ever with Homenfun Barcelona agency as well as with Booking.com attitude after we claimed it. Do not risk with any of them! We spent 4 nights in apartment in Carrer de la Diputacio, Barcelona. We paid full amount of €664 + €250 deposit. Immediately we’ve noticed broken bedroom bed. We claimed but they left us to sleep 4 nights on mattress on the floor. Option that they offered was not acceptable for us, to move by ourselves in cheaper and more distant apartment, but without any refund or help from their side (like taxi or returning back price difference). After leaving, we sent claim to Booking customer service, requesting total refund of this really bad hosting, but unexpectedly from Booking, we are ignored & served by robots. Now, we are wondering how Booking allows to have such agency and also how they protect their customers?

Regarding the bed issue, our team was informed and an alternative solution was offered during the stay. While we understand that the proposed option did not meet your preferences, assistance was provided in line with the available alternatives at that time.

The total price paid and the €250 security deposit were clearly stated in the booking conditions prior to arrival. The deposit is managed according to the agreed terms and is not related to the accommodation fee.

Concerning your claim with Booking.com, the platform independently manages customer service and claims. As a property management company, we comply with Booking’s policies and provide all requested information when cases are reviewed.

We regret that this experience led to a negative perception and remain available to review the matter directly should you wish to contact our customer service team.

Was eine volll Katastrophe diese firma. ALLLES IST schei**e. 250 depot immer noch nicht erhalten. Kundenservice ein fremdbegriff und das Apartment war defekt. Das bett viel auseinander und die wollten das vertuschen. Niemeh

Complete scam…

This company supposedly manages apartments in Barcelona for short stays, but is a complete scam! They ask for a hefty deposit to be paid at check-in (outside of Airbnb or Booking) and find any excuse to keep the deposit. We informed them of things in the apartment that were malfunctioning (including structural things like a leaking heating that we never used), they thanked us and said all was ok and after a week when we asked to return the deposit, they pinned all on us and simply kept the deposit. No receipt, of course. Curiously enough they also “had to keep the deposit from the previous guests” and there are several reviews in the same sense! They come at check in to charge the deposit, but never at checkout to verify the house and make a return, if all fine. Because the deposit is charged outside of Airbnb or Booking, the platforms can’t intervene and the guest has no means to retrieve the deposit nor to seek support. Very unfortunate that fraudulent companies like this are allowed on Airbnb and Booking!

We would like to clarify that the security deposit is a standard procedure, clearly stated in the booking conditions prior to arrival, and is intended solely to cover potential damages or rule breaches. It is never charged arbitrarily.

All reported issues during the stay were acknowledged and recorded by our team. However, after check-out, damages and/or irregularities were identified that went beyond normal wear and tear, which is why the deposit could not be fully returned, in accordance with the terms accepted at the time of booking.

Regarding the check-out process, an in-person inspection is not always required. Reviews and inspections may be carried out after departure, following our internal procedures. Documentation related to the deposit and its use is available upon request through our customer service channels.

We strongly reject any accusation of fraudulent behavior. We manage a large portfolio of properties and operate in compliance with local regulations and the policies of the platforms we work with.

No pongo una reseña mas baja porque no…

No pongo una reseña mas baja porque no me deja el sistema. Experiencia desastrosa, una vez pagado y al mes de ir, piden 90 euros de más o nos cancelan la reserva, vitrocersmica rota durante una semana de estancia, teniendo w hacer todas las comidas fuera sin ninguna compensación economica. Auténtica vergüenza, no se como Booking sigue trabajando con ellos

Respecto al importe adicional, este corresponde a una tasa previamente indicada en las condiciones de la reserva y comunicada antes de la llegada. En ningún caso se trata de un cargo arbitrario.

En relación con la incidencia de la vitrocerámica, sentimos las molestias ocasionadas. El aviso se gestionó tan pronto como nos fue comunicado, aunque, desgraciadamente, la reparación se retrasó por causas ajenas a nuestra voluntad.

Nuestro equipo permanece siempre disponible para atender cualquier incidencia durante la estancia y tratar de ofrecer soluciones. Lamentamos que, en este caso, no hayamos cumplido con sus expectativas.
