This company are a bunch of crooks. Their high-pressure salesman persuaded my 83 year old mother to sign up for unnecessary work totalling over £5000. When she invoked her right to cancel under the cooling off period they failed to refund her deposit. Under no circumstances should you deal with them.

Scam, please avoid. Cold called my grandfather and scammed him out of 3k for work that did not need to be completed. Shameful company

I paid deposit for loft insulation and was promised a very early start date (I now know why!!)
Then I read these reviews and researched them on Companies House. I realised I’d made a big mistake so immediately cancelled by email, recorded post and WhatsApp.
I repeatedly chased for a refund eventually getting a reply from a Ms Simpson promising refund by 21st April.
I waited till 21st May then started my refund claim via my credit card company which I received a few days later (NOTE - you should always pay via credit card)

Interesting side note - last year companies house threatened to strike them off.

All in all a company to avoid.

Not only are the sales team pushy, employing the same tactics as double glazing sales, offering 'one time only' discounts, etc, their after sales service is also pretty much non existent. I had work done in the loft and around thte exterior periphery, notably facias, soffits and guttering. Now whilst the quality of the interior work was passable, the guttering work is poor, and leaks badly. When I contacted the company they seemed interested, but said they would get the work rectified when they had a team in the area. Fast forward 4ish months with a couple more 'surveyor' visits, still no rectification works carried out, and I was visited by another 'surveyor', who wanted to sell me more products. When I mentioned the guttering he agreed it needed doing and suggested it could be done the following week, at the same time as the new works happened. I agreed to the new works and paid a deposit, but after discussing with my son, I called them to cancel the new works and request a deposit refund. This was April....I have e mailed their admin to confirm cancellation, but I am still waiting for a response, let alone the completion of the gutter works, or the refund of the deposit. Avoid at all costs, I am sure there are better companies out there. If you do feel compelled, don't pay the whole cost up front and hold back a percentage until you are completely satisfied.

This company have just fleeced my 84 year old father of more than £7000 for loft insulation. He is profoundly deaf, vulnerable and recently bereaved after the death of my mother. The contract was signed yesterday and the work completed today so the 14 day cooling off period is void. He told no one until it was too late. He was the victim of cold calling. This company is morally and ethically bankrupt.

Do not touch these people - all the reviews I have read mirror my experience. My dad is 84, they scammed him into solar panels for much more than they are worth - he’s 84, what value is he going to get out of solar panels???
Now they’ve scammed him for £1800 for a bird protector for solar panels, what! Another company quoted £600!!
Now the deposit of £1000 has not been refunded despite chasers and it was cancelled within the 14 days cooling off period. We have had an email from Eve Simpson who says shes the Regional Director and a different Head of Accounts to the one mentioned in another review - Rebecca Silva, who says she couldn't locate the bank details - that old chestnut!
I don’t know how these people sleep at night - if they get in touch with you DO NOT REPLY, DO NOT BOOK AN APPOINTMENT AND DO NOT LET THEM INTO YOUR HOUSE - END OF!

This company scammed my elderly neighbour not once but twice. First time they said she needed her roof cleaning as she was at risk of it leaking because there was moss. I was at home working when they came and all they did was pressure washed it they claimed they ‘sealed’ it to prevent any further moss but they did no such thing. They also said they would clear the gutters after spraying which they didn’t. They charged her 2.5k for the privilege.

They then returned last week to tell her she needed her cavity wall insulation doing as hers was no good anymore. They wanted a 2.5k deposit and said they would come round the next day to do the work. Luckily our other neighbour saw her on the day and when she said what they had promised he got her to cancel her credit card payment immediately. They didn’t come the next day. They have been reported to our local police. It saddens to me that there are these type of people in the world praying on the elderly. Lowest of the low. We are keeping an eye out for their return

They are the cowboy builders of lofts and solar installations. These people are scammers, and you should not trust them

I strongly urge everyone to avoid this company at all costs. Based on our experience, they appear to prey on the elderly and vulnerable.

They targeted my 85-year-old grandmother, who suffers from poor eyesight and early-onset dementia. They allegedly showed her photos of supposed damage to the roof and had her sign a contract she was unable to read. Their proposed solution to these “holes” was to insulate the loft—an approach that, over time, would have caused further damage due to moisture buildup and rot.

They charged her £2,000 during the initial visit and planned to take another £2,000 on the day of the work. When we contacted their office, the staff were disturbingly unfazed by our concerns. They showed no empathy and seemed entirely comfortable with exploiting a vulnerable person.

This company’s conduct is disgraceful and, in my opinion, warrants investigation. It has now been two weeks since the incident, and we are still waiting for a refund.

This 'company' is the typical green home scam, which ironically is part of their name. They specifically target the elderly and vulnerable.

How this scam operates: They cold call via phone, stating they happen to be in the area and offer a free inspection. Their name is very similar to an actual legitimate company - Green Home Energy - so it is easy to get fooled into feeling secure with them. After their fake-posh-voiced salesman has finished (or sometimes before) the inspection, he will then offer to look at your bills by stating you can claim energy offers or schemes to save money, in our case, he listed a legitimate scheme and then also a bogus one. This is another manipulation tactic to lull you into trusting him. He will appear very knowledgeable on solar panels, loft insulation among other things. He will then say that they just so happen to have a cancellation in your area (giving some stupid excuse) and can start right away. They will either manipulate you into paying a deposit, or the full amount before work has carried out, far higher than normal prices. They will then do a shoddy and dangerous job you will have to pay more to fix.

If you encounter them there are a few places to report them, your bank, Action Fraud (the police's fraud arm) and Trading Standards. Their website is hosted by GoDaddy so you can also report their website directly to GoDaddy to get it taken down as it helps perpetuate their scam.

We can't always be around to protect our elders, but take comfort in the fact that these rotten, soulless, scourge on society will one day be old and have nothing, and be equally vulnerable. Karma will take them.

Avoid this company at all costs! Similar to other reviews a sales man came round to my elderly mother’s house and pressure sold her some loft insulation which she didn’t need. She cancelled in the 14 day cool off period but the money has not yet been returned as promised.

Had to give a one star would give minus 0. Money should not taken up front but they took over 3,800 from my 84 year old dad. He's usually very cautious but slipped through the net. Luckily my daughter did research and saw the reviews, it's all a scam. I don't know if we will see the money again. 😮‍💨

This company is diabolical pure scammers, my grandparents had these come to do a quote for loft insulation, as straighted in the work they was to remove the old insulation, clean the the timbers and treat them, install new insulation & triple layer it for warmth as they are in there 80's, a payment of £2950 was quoted, a payment of £1450 taken on agreement with a 14 day cooling off period, this was done on the 8th jan 2025, my grandad was out on the 9th of Jan 2025, my grandma who as early set dementia was home, they came to the door my nan had seen the company doing the quote the day before, not knowing my grandad had payed the 1st installment paid it on her card, on that day, they proceeded to do the work, never treated the timbers removed the old stuff , played a poor excuse of a layer I myself being in the building trade , this didn't poor standards they was better off and warmer with the insulation before hand , no triple layer, my grandad checked this the next day to find the horror they'd done called the company kept getting passed pillar to post then agreed for there surveyor to come see him, never showed up, had his calls rejected to date, I went round yesterday took pictures & videos looked at the work theyd used 2 rolls of insulation for the whole lot around £50 of materials, we are proceeding to take this company to court to claim the money back and I myself will do the work, please be warned !!!! this company are despicable ,ignorant and liars give them a wide berth.

There is a reason solar companies have a bad reputation. Green Energy is that reason.

Why they will never answer the phone and only ever call you back on a mobile?

Yeah, it’s because they are terrible.

My dealings with them came from them talking their way into my mother’s house in September 2024. She is 82, very clearly vulnerable, and uses gas central heating and hardly any electicity. Green Energy’s “salesperson” Lee Cutler, attended her house, ignored her obvious confusion over her bills, her repeated requests to talk to me before signing up, and persuaded her to part with a £4,000 deposit via credit card there and then, using some made up nonsense about there being an urgency because of fitters in the neighbourhood. The team from Green Energy then arrived three days later, put up the solar but did not connect it as they needed information from my Mum’s electricity supplier, which she did not have.

Upon realising what had happened, I called Green Energy and finally got hold of someone called Sarah Spencer, who purports to be their Head of Customer Accounts. This is not someone who will return your calls or emails without multiple attempts. Eventually, however, when it was clear that the items were not appropriate or required, she confirmed they would be removed. Her team arrived before their appointment (I suspect to avoid having to deal with me personally), removed the solar panels, and in doing so, damaged the electrics in the house, something I have had to now pay an actual electrician to fix. They promised that my Mum’s money would be refunded.



My Mum struggles with her banking and I have now found out that the money was never refunded. Sarah Spencer is not replying to messages or emails. The company’s scaffolding is still up at my mum’s house, some three months later.

This is a company of no good worth whatsoever. If you are minded to do business with them, I strongly suggest you do not. If you are looking for their contact info, I can save you some trouble (as it does take a while to find it). Green Home Energy Innovations is owned by a Mr Krzysztof Raczka. His servicing address was 12 Haviland Road, Ferndown Industrial Estate, Wimborne, Dorset, BH21 7RG, but, according to Companies House this was changed to Elson Geaves Accountants, in Forest Links Road, Ferndown, Dorset, BH22 9PH, on 26/7/23. Maybe you can contact Mr Raczka there? He also owns a company called Sunlight Energy Solutions Ltd which appears to have been set up in June 2024.

Avoid this company at all costs.

DONT WHAT EVER YOU DO TOUCH THIS COMPANY with a bargepole . I don't even really know if they are a real company.
It's only got one star because you have to give something . I wouldn't give any by choice. Cut a long story short , they turned up to line the loft , didn't check that everything was OK before leaving so at 11.30 pm we had water coming through the bathroom and bedroom ceiling , I emailed straight away . My son had to get come at 1 in the morning to sort it out and discovered the had fractured my water tank . So I had to organise a new one at nearly £300 +£60 for flooring . They said they would come Saturday to fix . 4.30 nothing . Asked if they had any intention of turning up as its sat evening and we have no hot water . They knew my husband is sick so you would think a priority . Sunday morning, can't come someone's had to go to hospital so haven't got transport .that old chestnut. My son has to do the job sunday as can't go any longer without hot water . I told them that is what would happen on sat evening if they didn't turn up. Well today arrives and they turn up to do the job that I told them would be done by my son if they didn't come Sunday. Already sent a complaint and spoke to a lady this morning who assured me some manager would call me this afternoon. You can guess the rest . They've turned the phone off . I'll be honest I don't know what to do . Clearly I've been a mug..
I don't believe they are a real company. I would say they are a joke but it's not funny . Just days of distress and out of pocket.
