I had a very positive experience with the agency, especially with Taylor, who showed me the apartment and helped me throughout the rental process. He was very friendly, professional, patient and always willing to answer my questions and assist with the negotiations.
The whole team was also helpful and attentive, making the process easier and smoother, especially as I have recently arrived in the UK.
I really appreciate all the support and would happily recommend the agency. Thank you, Taylor, and everyone involved!

I placed a bid for a studio, which was accepted within an hour. I payed the holding deposit and filled up all the references. Two weeks later, 4 days to moving day, and I am still awaiting confirmation on my references.

It's been quite a stressful experience so I will not recommend using them.

My experience with Home Made has been exceptional from the very beginning , I would particularly like to recognise Taylor, who made an excellent first impression , He was incredibly welcoming, friendly, professional and patient throughout the property viewings , He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions thoroughly and demonstrated impressive knowledge of the properties, the surrounding area and the local amenities.

What impressed me most was Taylor’s genuine commitment to customer service , His support did not end after the viewings and He remained responsive, followed up on every question and guided me through each stage of the process with remarkable care and attention.

I would also like to extend my sincere appreciation to Tommaso, who was equally professional, knowledgeable and supportive. He took the time to explain the application requirements, clarify the next steps and ensure that I fully understood the process.

As someone who owns properties in Riyadh and Dubai, I understand the importance of professionalism, transparency, efficiency and excellent communication in the property industry. Home Made has demonstrated these qualities throughout my experience so far.

The entire team has made what can often be a complicated process feel straightforward, organised and reassuring.

We recently found a property advertised on Rightmove in Wembley Park and booked a viewing through Home Made’s AI assistant. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. Firstly, it is incredibly annoying that the entire process is handled by AI, with no human interaction. We were not provided with any contact details for the agent before the viewing. When we arrived at the designated location, we waited for over 40 minutes, but nobody showed up. We tried calling Home Made’s customer service several times throughout this period, but no one answered. Eventually, we managed to speak to the agent, who had just finished conducting another viewing. However, what followed was even more disappointing. We had specifically booked a viewing for a one-bedroom flat in Beton, only to be told that the property was unavailable to view, and there were no other vacant units in the same development available to show us.

Instead, the agent took us to view a two-bedroom apartment in Alameda, a completely different development, and expected us to “imagine” what the layout of the advertised flat might look like based on that apartment. This was completely unacceptable, particularly given that the listing clearly advertised a specific property. The rent was also not communicated clearly, leaving us with further unanswered questions.

At the end of the viewing, we were told that photos and videos of the original apartment would be sent to us by email, and that offers would be considered on a first-come, first-served basis. In other words, we were expected to make an offer on a property we had never actually seen, based solely on photos and videos, and apparently would only be able to view it in person after paying a holding deposit. This raises serious concerns about the transparency and fairness of the entire process, and it certainly gave us the impression that securing a financial commitment from prospective tenants was being prioritised over providing a proper viewing experience.

Perhaps most frustrating of all, we received absolutely no meaningful follow-up or personal communication from the agents. The only messages we received were the standard, automated AI notifications.

Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience, characterised by poor communication, a lack of transparency, wasted time, and an unacceptable approach to property viewings. Based on our experience, I would not recommend their service.

Whilst looking for apartments in manchester I got to meet and work with Jimba from the team who honestly made the process so much easier. He really did focus on finding exactly what I needed with going above and beyond to ensure I like the property e.g. sending extra photos and asking the right questions to the right people. He really did make the whole process to much more enjoyable. Would highly recommend.

Taylor was a legend and helped me secure my dream one bed in Manchester. He also went above and beyond to secure me a parking spot for my Suzuki!!

I had a viewing with Piraveen. He showed me a flat in wembley park which was facing towards wembley stadium. He told me that this flat is not available but the available one is in two floors upstairs and it is exactly the same. I asked him a simple question, does it also face towards wembley stadium and he said absolutely yes. After two months i moved in and realised that the flat he gave me faced the other direction towards ovo arena which is much noisier. It’s unbelievable that they behave like they sell t-shirts and not homes

Travelled 2 hours for a viewing only to be told they don’t have the flat I booked, and that they can only show me a 2 bed and 1 bed floor plans. 0 communication on this prior to my arrival, Jimber was unapologetic & claimed he didn’t want to waste my time?? Not worth the hassle of dealing with them, I’ve also had the price raise £300+ on apartments I’ve enquired about. Absolute joke

★☆☆☆☆ Extremely poor experience
Unfortunately, my experience with Home Made has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing.
Communication throughout the process has been extremely poor. I found myself repeatedly having to chase for answers to straightforward questions, with information either not being provided, being unclear, or taking far too long to come back. For something as important and time-sensitive as arranging a new home, the whole process felt unnecessarily stressful.

What frustrated me most was the apparent lack of ownership. Rather than having someone properly understand my circumstances, communicate clearly and help move the application forward, I felt as though I was constantly having to manage the process myself and chase different people to establish what was actually happening.

I was open and transparent about my circumstances from the outset and provided the information and supporting documentation requested. Despite that, I found the communication around the application particularly difficult and, at times, lacking the level of care and professionalism I would expect from a letting agent handling something as significant as somebody's home.

A letting agent should make the process easier for both landlord and tenant. In my experience, Home Made achieved the opposite. The amount of unnecessary chasing, uncertainty and stress involved has been extraordinary.

Based purely on my own experience, I would find it very difficult to recommend Home Made.

One star.

Shocking service, they use an AI assistant to answer all the phone calls which constantly interrupt you and doesn't actually listen to your answers. I originally attempted to contact them via a phone number they have on one of their listings. I was on hold for that number for 25 minutes. I never got through because instead, nearing the end of those 25 minutes when I filled out a contact form for the listing I was looking at, I was immediately contacted with a phone call from this AI assistant. Which just goes to show you that they probably have either nobody actually working there and/or none of the employees want to do the work and instead are all relying on this AI assistant, which is shocking from a management perspective.

Absolutely don't recommend, because if they do this on their inquiry phone call, God knows what they do when they actually manage viewings or listings. Very deceptive.

Update from 22nd of September-

I have now had numerous calls and texts multiple times a day from this AI phone bot despite insisting and telling it I am no longer interested in the viewing nor do I want to talk to an AI phone bot. I would also like to add that this company replied to my review this morning and have also flagged this review for “defamatory content” despite only being an accurate description of my experience. Also worth noting when dealing with this company I suppose.

Terrible service booked in 2 viewings confirmed this morning turned up to meet the agent with my clients and neither of the properties are available nothing to show us no one to complain to. Apparently this happens all the time . Terrible service

Taylor was an absolute gem showing me around Sherlock Quarter. Not your usual run-of-the-mill letting experience — he took the time to understand me, the vibe I was looking for and what I actually needed and made it so easy.

A real credit to his team and the company. You can tell he genuinely cares, and that makes all the difference for me. Could not be happier 🫶🏻

I wasn’t expecting it to be this smooth and easy to get it all done. The viewing was done by Jimber, amazing positive energy and how relaxed he is helped seal the deal by making me extremely comfortable on how the building works and how easily everything is handled. One of the best viewings I’ve ever had and that speaks volumes on the level of professionalism and customer service Jimber had throughout the viewing, and from the initial up to the final process.
Mr Tommaso was also a crucial part of the process as everything was handled within MINUTES !!
Absolutely recommend HOMEMADE and many more people should use this company ! 10/10

Pira was so lovely and welcoming! We mentioned what we wanted and they recommended a flat that we weren’t even meant to be shown and that’s what we went for! Pira was so understanding and accommodating of what we wanted, and was a lovely person! The booking process was so easy too.

It was a lovely experience today with Taylor at Sherlock quarter Birmingham. He was really nice and patient although we had so much second thoughts.

Took my £250 holding deposit on 25th August for a move in date of 7th September. I submitted every document requested (and more) the very next day. A flat that was advertised has “Available immediately”.

Then silence. No updates, no timeline, no confirmation that my tenancy would go ahead.

I had to chase their referencing partner myself just to get things moving. A full week passed with nothing. On the day I finally withdrew because I couldn't risk being homeless, they sent me an automated "statement of account" email 7 minutes after my termination request, as if everything was business as usual.

When I asked for my deposit back, they tried to claim I was the one who failed to take necessary steps, despite doing everything asked of me within the first 24 hours. They are now attempting to retain my holding payment.

Their process seems designed to run the clock, leave you in limbo until the last possible moment, and then keep your money when you're forced to make other arrangements. I would strongly advise anyone considering renting through Home Made to think carefully before handing over a holding deposit.
