The Staff & Service
The Staff & Service were great and we will definitely use HIPPO again. We ordered the bag online and it arrived the next day, took our time filling the bag up and then rang them up and a very nice lady sorted out the pick up which took place the very next day. I suspect we were a little bit fortunate that it all went so smoothly but it was good for us. Ten Out Of Ten X

Would not use again ...
Would not use again for any future moves and probably should have stuck with a local company. Booked a man and a van and made a mistake not adding a fridge freezer not realising this was extra cost, this was fair enough and my mistake and was happy to pay the extra cost.
Not sure what happened after this but I thought my order was good to go for the date I requested. On the collection day nobody turned up so I called the customer services and confirmed they could come the next morning instead, however nobody turned up on the second attempt and I was due to complete my house sale the following day.
Called customer services and they said they could come the following day but I didn't trust anyone to turn up for the 3rd time and requested a refund instead. The people I spoke to on customer services were nice enough but blamed everything on an admin error. Customer service seems really reactive and I was constantly calling to find out what was going on, I would have expected more proactive behaviour of any admin errors especially when customers are in a stressful situation of a house sale and a short turnaround time.

We understand how frustrating it must have been to rearrange the service, only for the second appointment to also be missed, especially with your house sale due to complete shortly afterwards.
We have looked into this matter following your feedback and identified the root cause of the issue. This has been addressed internally, and feedback is being provided to the relevant team to help prevent similar situations from occurring in the future.

Whilst our team worked to assist when you contacted us, we recognise that you should not have been placed in a position where you had to repeatedly chase for updates. We agree that a more proactive approach should have been taken once the issue was identified.

The Easiest Waste Removal Solution
Absolutely the easiest way to get rid of my old, rotten fence materials. I just broke them up and stacked them in the Hippo Skip. I booked a collection and it was picked up about 2 days later. Ideal. I have mentioned Hippo to at least one person at work and will recommend Hippo to anyone that needs a skip in future.

Website is clear as to sizing and what can be placed in the bags. Ordering and delivery of the bag was easy.
The pick-up is straightforward and overall the whole experience was no hassle.
An improvement for us would be a definite window for pick-up - just within a couple of days as the bag is on the street until picked up.

What was not so amazing was the response to my email query regarding any promotional codes towards a larger skip sized bag……….. which after 5 days I had no response to at all !! It was all very easy
It was all very easy. The bag arrived and it was simple to arrange collection. The reason they drop a star is because it was hard for an amateur to work out capacity and also they don't tell you when they are collecting unless you say you need to be in. I don't realise this and although I didn't need to be in I did need to know to make sure the drive was car free.
