spent 140 for 2 miniaturs with shipping. i would have gotten something way better printing it myself. that is not ok.

Very hillarious experience making characters!

This year I've been through some hard knocks and all of it resulted in me removing myself from facebook etc.
Unfortunately I had recalled that my login to heroforge was tied to that facebook login and in an attempt to save what designs I could I emailed heroforge for assistance in recovering any part of my account.
After the initial look into my account I was sad to find out that there was little that seemed could be done other than sharing links to myself to recreate the models later.
However, I was surprised and delighted when not once but 3 times HeroForge customer service reached out to me again with new thoughts on how we might be able to rescue my account and eventually we found that just once I had created a direct login tied to the account which was enough to recover it in its entirety. A fact that I would have surely missed if not for their perseverance in the matter.
I'm extremely thankful that my.. 50?-odd designs (it took for too long to save all the share links) were able to be recovered due to their efforts and I trust I'll be printing quite a few soon for an upcoming campaign I have been planning.
The best part for me is that they delivered me a win when I sorely needed it and as a customer service worker myself I know that kind of caring can't be faked.

When that's said the mini figure I ordered sucks!! The colors are way off. Every color is Matt and way too dark. Never ordering from this site again and would never recommend others

I wanted to thank Heroforge for their responsiveness; indeed, I was disappointed with the result of the color printing of the figurine, however, after discussion with customer service, I received a refund.

My nephew and I created a colour plastic mini together for his Christmas present. The only positive is that it shipped in less that an month.

The mini itself is terrible. It's like the printer ran out of black ink. There is no shadow or definition on the body, and none of the details on the face have color, its all just the base skin color. After receiving it and reading other reviews, I finally found the place on their website where they mention that fine details might be 'indistinct' in the final print. Too bad this isn't mentioned when you choose the print option in the 'buy' menu, nor is it reflected in the tabletop preview shown. It's almost like they don't want you to find it.

Don't bother. The quality on the computer is VASTLY different than what you get. The mini had NO color definition, highlights, or lowlights. It was very basic as if painted by a beginner with a steady hand.
For the $64 I paid, I could have paid a professional to paint a mini for significantly better quality.
Very disappointed. Will not recommend or use again.

Bought a custom figure for my son. The cape snapped off, so I put it on a shelf with some glue and forgot about it. It fell over at some point, I just went to glue the cape on, and it was on its side with the arm broken off. I don’t remember when the cape came off. I think it was a bday gift so probably in August. Noticed the arm today (12/31/25).
I wouldn’t have e paid this much if I knew it was so fragile. 2 stars cuz it did look like what he had designed.

Wow, I REALLY wish I had looked up reviews before spending $75 on two tiny miniatures…
We had high hopes for these custom painted pieces that turned out looking like melted, dirty excuses for a custom miniature. My partners piece was at least fully painted and looked mostly like the digital creation (aside from the fact that they—Hero Forge—just skip facial features/painting altogether) but mine is…a monstrosity. Unpainted in most places; the places that were painted, colors were clearly mixed, and it’s a mess, and there are few discernible pieces of armor, as everything just looks kind of melted together.
Truly horrible, horrible quality. I will upstage my rating to two stars IF customer service helps me out.

Hero Forge minis were kind of a pipe dream for many of us. Especially as we are an international group. We took advantage of the black friday sale and splurged.

Everything was made on the mobile page. Apparently, the slider that says "unprintable" appears under your thumb when you slide a choice into the red zone. So hidden. If you dont catch it in the small preview when you put it in to your cart, your screwed as they will automatically "thicken" for durability.

After several emails, the only advice their customer service has given is, in short, "dont like it, return it".

Question, is, if an item is deemed unprintable why are you allowed to purchase it without a flag or warning?

Im in 3 long running campaigns. Participate and run 1 or 2 one-shots weekly. Everyone is disheartened and wont buy from Hero Forge in the future.

The miniatures look really good on the computer but their printing is poor. I would not recommend using this company.

Bought two files to print for myself and neither printed out well at all. One was basically just the base but no character. Their site does state no returns on the digital files, that is fine. However, when they failed to print, I asked to apply a refund cost for digital file and apply that directly to a Hero Forge printed character they refused.

I will not use Hero Forge again.

Went to cancel my subscription on the renewal date and they renewed it and charged me for another year. I contacted them and they said that if i wanted to cancel they would give me a gift card instead of returning my money. They said the TOS said I was too late but after reading it I found the only time frame limit was for orders not subs. The only good thing is they didnt take to long to email me back,

Apparently they don't save your files, despite your purchasing them. I just found out, at least 1 of the figures I made, I now can't download again.
The quality of the prints isn't that good. I saw what the person could print. So it's not the quality of his printer that is the issue. But the quality of their files

so the minis look good enough for sure. but if you are expecting the colors to look anything as vibrant or similar to how they look on the design app, don't be fooled. they are pale in comparison. very light colors, no vibrancy. hand painted ones will look much better.
that being said they are still pretty sweet and save you from painting them yourself. but don't expect the end result quality.

2 for physical products:
- there are no stls to download after the print — what a shame. it's literally costs them 0 (ZERO) to give it away.
- priming is awful. All the details for one of my models was half overfilled with the gray primer. it's simply destroyed. I'm so disappointed and dissatisfied with that.
- service seems odd — no feedback, no status update of the order. I had to write to the support to get know what is happening.
- really long wait time for 3 figures (1.5 months to the Europe from the order till delivery).
- still I like theirs website to build figures. If you have a brilliant local 3D printer guy — go for it!
*ordered one prime and 2 normal resin figures — not worth it for that cost.

I have to say, I'm incredibly surprised in the decline of Hero Forge's quality. My tabletop group has ordered a half-dozen or so minis from them in the past. All of which looked great.

There's six minis sitting on my desk right now, however, that show a fairly significant drop in quality. I understand prices increase, but the new "budget-friendly" plastic minis are more expensive - and noticeably worse - than Hero Forge's baseline minis used to be.

For an order that was almost $150.00, I'm not happy with these minis. At all. Apparently, I should have just dropped another $70 to avoid the artifacts, muddied details, inconsistent prints, and all-together-lost details.

I used to gladly recommend Hero Forge. But I no longer can. At this point, you're far better off just trying to find a mini close to whatever vision you have. It'll be far cheaper. And far more detailed.

Update: Customer service was great. They quickly submitted a reprint request. Those minis came in today, and they're almost exactly the same. Still muddy and lost details. Still random burrs. Still disappointed. Clearly their "affordable" option means mediocre quality. At least as far as any detailed design goes. Shame, really.

I've ordered from HeroForge twice before, this being my third time.
I only ever ordered the colored standees, which are well detailed and of great quality. I fully recommend this option.

The last order was returned due to a mistake at the post office - no fault of the HeroForge team - and they were quick to reach out to confirm address details, etc. Their customer service/support is superb, very helpful and friendly!

I can't recommend HeroForge enough.

Mittlerweile liefert HF richtig gute Qualität im Segment der farbig-gedruckten Figuren. Die Details der farbigen Kunststoff-Figuren sind zwar nicht annähernd so genau wie beim Erstellprozess, aber das Endprodukt kann sich sehen lassen. Einzig, dass ich trotz vorheriger Bezahlung, doch noch ca. 10€ dem Postboten als "Rest-Zoll" bezahlen musste, stößt etwas auf. Die Kosten waren lt. Bezahlvorgang komplett erhoben und beglichen. Wer seinen einzigartigen Charakteren beim Tabletop oder P&P RPG auf den Tisch bringen und Leben einhauchen möchte, und nicht so gut mit Pinsel und Farben umgehen kann, ist hier gut aufgehoben.

False advertising. The design tools on the website are great. So great, in fact, that your actual mini will look nothing like what you designed. Hard to describe how ripped off I feel by the company. Oh and when I brought this to the company's attention, they were of no help, and seem to be content with their finished product not meeting expectations of customers.
