Salt deliveries guaranteed damaged upon delivery
I work for a hotel and I am guaranteed extra work every single time I get an order of water softener salt because they will puncture at least one bag and usually multiple bags. I have worked here for 2&1/2 years and estimate I have cleaned up 650lbs worth of salt that has spilled. I hate seeing the salt being delivered because it means extra work and slowed down workflow. I have called and asked them to get it taken care of but they use a 3rd. party and they don't care I guess? Just be aware if you order bags on a pallet , It will most likely be damaged in some type of way by the time it gets to you.
A very pleasant surprise
I ordered this back up battery because they had it in stock, the price was better than anyone else's, and they promised fast shipping. Then, as an afterthought, I read the reviews. Well, I thought, there's a sucker born every minute, and this minute it's me. This sinking feeling wasn't helped by my conversation with the first customer service rep who promised to be back in touch with me in 3-5 hours and, of course, wasn't. The second guy told me to expect delivery "Monday or Tuesday at the latest" and, lo and behold, it arrived Monday. OK, it took six days, but given the massive snowstorm over the weekend, that was totally reasonable, the price was $100 less than the cheapest alternative, and the shipping was free. Maybe I just got lucky, or maybe they've reformed, but my experience was great and I figure they deserve credit for it.
Next-day delivery is a farce
I've never even gotten items second day. But what really bothers me is that for my current order they processed the order and I just checked and they cancelled an item, and that dropped the order below $50. Any order below $50 has no shipping charge, but it does have a $10 handling fee. I could have bought an extra paint brush and essentially have gotten it for free.
The second problem with them is that even though some of the items are discounted, a whole lot of them are more expensive than Home Depot or Lowes. I could just run to the local store and have the item without waiting. I'm not using these guys any more after this.
Amazing Customer Service
Susan Hunter was amazing and assisted me after our local Sales Representative Anthony made some errors on a local shipment and she was able to promptly resolve my issue.

They have the worst customer service and an even worst delivery service. I have ordered from them a few times already, and it went wrong once, I never received my item (it was marked as x (not received), but I never received my refund. I placed a big order in June, and never received them, I am calling them twice a week for over 2-3 months now for my refund, because it was a big order. And they keep telling me different stories and that the warehouse needs to give them an update. Is it not 1 company? I have in total for this order: 3 ticket numbers, 3 case numbers and every time I call again for an update I get a new ticket number. I am so done with this company! Never ordering anything from them again and would never recommend anyone to buy there. They just increase your high blood pressure and stress.

Ordered a door 3 times. Damaged 3 times
What a joke.
I ordered the same door THREE times from HD Supply, and guess what? All three times it arrived “damaged in transit.” Every single time. No call, no explanation, just delays and fake tracking updates.
I lost 3 full days of work waiting around for deliveries that never showed up. This isn’t bad luck — it’s straight-up incompetence. If you need something dependable or time-sensitive, go somewhere else.
HD Supply clearly doesn’t care about your time or your business.
Find another vendor. Seriously.
Poor customer service
There representatives are not trained well, can't figure out basic tasks like looking up a shipping #. Customer service lies and never gets back to you even when they promise they will. HD supply messed up our order and wont take responsibility or accountability for there mistake. They wont even work with us to make it right and want us to pay for there issues and short comings. Highly recommend saving yourself lots of aggravation and order from somewhere else....look at there reviews there service and work environment speaks for itself!!
Do Not buy from HD Supply. I ordered a part on Nov.15,2024, was sent a email with tracking info but every time I tried it I got a oohps message that they could not find the tracking #. I called customer service on November 26th. and was told it was coming factory direct and had a estimate ship date of Dec. 22nd. I asked to cancel my order and I would buy through another supplier and get it within a week. He did so and provided me with a return #.
The next day my package was delivered, but I had already ordered from another company, so I called and asked to have them return the item. I was told I would get charged a restocking fee. I said no, I was told yesterday it wouldn't be shipped until Dec 22nd and canceled the order so you can pick it up and take it back for a full refund or I'll keep the item if you give me a discount for the inconveniences you caused to me.
They said they are not allowed to give a discount but would check with the supplier and see if they would allow a return with out a restocking fee and would notify me. Several weeks later no calls or emails from them and a truck shows up to pick the package up, I asked if I was getting a full refund, he didn't know & left the package. I called again & was told it was authorized & I would get a full refund so I said to pick it up again or give me a discount.
Fast forward to 1st week of January 2025 & its still sitting here on my porch, no refund, no correspondences from them. I call again, was told it would be picked up & I would get a refund, I said if not then I will dispute the charge on my cc...3 weeks later still nothing so I deputed it and they didn't respond to the CC company so I got the credit. February 22nd they finally showed up to get it, now over 4 months its been sitting outside on my porch. They issue a credit now April 4th 2025 they email me saying I have a unpaid balance and need to pay before they take action. I called no resolution or call back yet again. Super frustrating!!
Still waiting for an $1100 return from 12/9/24
Ordered a furnace on 12/2 to be delivered 12/4, it never arrived. I called and was told it was an issue finding a shipper. I cancelled my order and purchased elsewhere because I needed to have heat. On 12/9 my account was charged! On 12/12 I called to inquire and was told it would be back in my account in 10 days. It has been a month and I still haven’t been reimbursed. Customer service should be able to handle this in a few minutes, but today I was told that it would be 48 hours before I know the status of my return? It feels like there is no communication between the warehouse and the order processing center. They have tied up over 1000.00 of mine and cannot tell me why or when it will be returned.
HD Supply is trash
HD Supply is the worst supply company I've ever dealt with. Parts constantly come destroyed. Especially toilets and parts to assemble. 2 orders of flange to bowl bolts and both orders the bolt threads are destroyed. Must be they just repacked a return or something. Working on getting a new supply company.

I am not a customer up there, but she took the time to explain some things to me. I really appreciate your help, she called me back twice which was very very good. I highly recommend this dealership.

Unethical practices by HD Supply
I have never seen a company do something so underhanded. I order a part online. The shipping was shown to be free. No extra charges shown. After I ordered and paid with my credit card, they sent an email and added a shipping charge of $4.91. They called it "Freight" not shipping. They also added $10 of "Additional Fees" with no explanation. I contacted the company and they said something to the effect that they do not normally carry this item and as such has a freight charge. As far as the additional $10 fee, they gave some justification for it that did not make any sense. I forgot what that justification was. I told they cannot just add fees and costs after the item was purchased. I guess I should be thankful that the $10 fee wasn't $1000 and the freight charge wasn't $300. l told them to cancel the order. I would not have bought that item if they were upfront and told me of the fees before I purchased it.
What has happened to this company???
There Dallas warehouse is one of the most poorly managed warehouses and no one in upper management cares at all! Orders are constantly missing items. When the warehouse doesn't include something in the delivery, they still mark it as delivered and charge you. Dealing with these new charges and credits is very time consuming and absolutely ridiculous! I have called and made numerous complaints and they just don't care. My sales representative is total joke, not sure what he does there since he doesn't reach out to me for anything. Unlike past sales reps who were in contact with me at least monthly. This is no surprise since no one seems to really care about customer service there anyways. I've worked with this company for years and have always had a great relationship with my assigned salesperson and my orders use to be correct. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with this company! I don't even want to give a 1-star review.
Do not use this company
Do not use this company. They have horrible unprofessional drivers. The driver was extremely aggressive and rude. 9/27/2033 4:05pm today in Virginia at the intersection of Georgetown Pike and Balls Hill Rd McLean, Va a driver blocked a very busy intersection and then when several cars honked (including myself) at him he began to shout out profanities and became very hostile and agressive. He was rude in his action and lacked professionalism. He represents this company, driving this company’s truck and he clearly showed the community during rush hour traffic the type of people this company employes. I would not trust this company and their drivers. I only hope that they use him as an example to their employers that you do not stand nor tolerate such behavior and that this driver is not a good representation of the company by firing him!
Returns accountability
Twice in the last two months I have ordered mini shampoo/conditioner/lotions for my hotel property. The case is supposed to contain 198 pieces and both times the box came with a tiny fraction of that amount. The first came with only 9 pieces, the second came with 27 pieces. Rather than just reship the orders, HD supply required me to pay a second time to issue a replacement. On top of that, I also had to return the nearly empty boxes to them in order to get a refund for the first order.
Shipping the almost empty boxes is such a strange mistake to have made in the first place, especially twice in a row, but it's extra frustrating to have to pay twice and also go through the trouble of returning a nearly empty box to get the refund.
Customer support agents are friendly and understanding.
Really Happy with HD Supply!
I ordered an AC condenser, whip, coil and pan for my new central air. I price shopped and they were over $700 or more LESS than everyone else for a really nice unit. They had free shipping (they say usually next day) and that was even going to a residence with a lift gate needed.
There were some bumps or I would have given 5 stars for sure. The order that first day after purchase said it was in transit and arriving the next day but when it didn't and I looked again it still had that date but said the order was processing. 4-5 days later it still showed the same thing, a delivery date in the past and not even in transit, so it was confusing.
I called and the rep said it would arrive the next day but I work close by so I asked for a call ahead. She said they can't unless I ask with my order, also strange. I asked for the warehouse number and who would be delivering and she said she would find out and let me know but never did.
Later that night I started reading some nasty reviews and panicked. I called again for the warehouse number and she said my order had been delivered and refused...WHAT!!? I live alone and have cameras, did not happen and according to you wasn't even supposed to happen. My install is Tuesday, what is going on, oh no.
Well, shortly thereafter the DRIVER called me (Surprise!) and he was SUCH a nice man and he said he was 15 minutes out. He came and even pulled around back in the alley close to my storage shed.
My HVAC inspected the equipment and said it was perfect. I'm not sure of the disconnect with their CS and warehouses but hang in there if you are having issues, the info is not always accurate and there is hope yet.
I am super happy and feel like I got a really great deal, THANK YOU HD Supply!
Sent wrong and almost expired items twice
Sent wrong and almost expired items, twice!, and have yet to get a refund.
I was sent the wrong items from what I ordered and the product was almost expired. I called and thought I got it resolved, to only find out that "the wrong department" handled my replacement, which did not make sense to be because it was the number on their website for customer support. The replacement became a hassle, well, when it came, it was the same WRONG shipment - wrong product and expires in less than a month. I am still trying to get my promised refund.
Door never was delivered but they took my money
HD Supply sent email saying door was delivered but it never was. They charged my card but I never received the door. I lost $330 and had to waste time disputing the charge with my credit card. This company is well-versed at scamming people. They gave a tracking number and everything.
