Pearl harbor tour

Plan on leaving your hotel at apx 630ish and returning at 4 pm (pearl harbor and USS Missouri tour) the Missori has some food for purchase, light snacks for purchase at pearl harbor. Hope this helps someone.....dont bring any bags!

I usually don't like rating people or…
I usually don't like rating people or companies, as I have nothing to compare it to, but we enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this tour of Big Island to all who want to see interesting sites and learn interesting knowledge!

The road to Hana is a must!
The road to Hana is a must!! I would give our guide and the tour much higher rating if possible! Ray (our guide) was beyond amazing!! He took time getting to know our names. It was like a big family feel on this tour since it was a much smaller tour group. The recommendations and history Ray shared with us were great! The waterfalls, scenery, black sand beach were all spectacular. We finished the tour a little early so Ray took us to a beach known for sea turtles and we were fortunate enough to see multiple turtles sunning on the beach! Thank you 10000% for this tour

The choice for the private tour ws Hanna
The choice for the private tour was perfect. Dustyn was our driver/guide and he was AMAZING. if you have a choice to pick he’s the one. He made the trip everything we wanted it to be.

We had a really fun afternoon…
We had a really fun afternoon snorkeling with the turtles. The views looking back on Waikiki and Diamond Head were so pretty. The crew on the boat were so nice! Would highly recommended!

Problems with booking…
We had problems with the previous company as we booked before the changeover and i had to file a dispute with my credit card company and i received a refund for both trips which I rebooked later. Our trip to the big island including the helicopter had a problem where my return trip to Oahu was the same time as the helicopter tour and you got us a later flight which solved the problem
Kaliani on the pearl harbor tour and Kelson on the big island Hawaii tour were very informative and did a great job.

We always love to know who is doing their best and rising to the challenges that we oftentimes have to deal with in tourism. We appreciate it because they are clearly showing "aloha", and giving you their best ~ and we hope, loving their job.
When you mentioned Kalani and Kelson I wasn't surprised because they are two of our most celebrated guides! They consider themselves a couple of unofficial Ambassadors of Hawai'i. If you picked up on their "aloha" vibes and were wowed their knowledge base, then they have done their jobs well! I'm sure they loved going all out to show you the best of beautiful Hawai'i.
There is so much to see and do, it's impossible to hit it all in just one trip. If you're considering returning next year I would recommend you book now to lock in pricing. The world is changing and so is pricing. We absolutely look forward to helping you create your next "Best vacation ever!" moments! A hui hou!
Slow response time and no attention to details
We were sent a quote and asked for payment on a timely basis but after that the communication dropped to none. Response time is days. The airline and Hawaii Tours were bought or changed and our flights were messed up. The tour company never notified us and when called for assistance and getting it rectified it took days and I looked up flights and told them what I needed. It still took a couple weeks to a month to get all flights done. Attention to details was not addressed at all. I had a vowel renewal I scheduled and let the tour company know from the beginning I wanted done for our 40th anniversary. The old owners had it covered. The new scheduled a tour during the time even after I brought to their attention. Then we were promised a driver/tour guide for our Pearl Harbor experience which didn’t happen and we had to walk and be picked up by a bus. I requested a refund and was told they don’t refund. We had a tour cancelled due to rain and high river. The kayak tour company offered a refund which went to Hawaii Tours. Still waiting for a refund. The best part of our trip were things I researched myself and scheduled in these events during our free time. There were no personal touches, no attention to details, very slow response time if I kept calling. I did call during the trip to let them know that they scheduled a tour during our vows and they were able to change it. We are still waiting for a refund. If they are able to get paid they should be able to give a refund when warranted.

Yes, it is true that Pearl Harbor Activities (all new owners) bought Hawaiitours.com on Dec. 18th, 2025 from Hawaii Tours LLC. Unfortunately, if you booked prior to the aforementioned sale date, then the former owners took your bookings and money, which is why we are unable to issue any refunds.
Because we didn't take the booking/payment, we never received any of the funds for any vacation packages, tours or activities booked prior to the sale date, which is why the office staff likely suggested that you contact your credit card company for further assistance.
Hawaii Tours LLC., the former owners, likely took payment from you for all of it I am guessing. Regardless, a supervisor will be in touch shortly. Mahalo for letting us know what occurred and we will see if there is anything else we can do to help you. We are all really gutted hearing you had so much planned and didn't get the service you had anticipated. We all hope you still felt the magic of your special moment! Mahalo nui loa.

Had to handle too many issues during vacation to fully enjoy it.
We received our final itinerary only a week before our trip and I had to ask many questions to have important details included (like intra island flights and transportation from airports). Despite this we still did not have all the needed details once on our trip ( i. e. who was providing transportation and how to contact them should we have any issues). Itinerary stated transportation arranged however we were not picked up three times during our nine day trip until after we called to arrange it. One was a 4am pick-up to get to the airport for an intra island one day excursion. No one was working at Hawaii Tours/Go Hawaii at 4am. We arranged transportation in time, thankfully . We were told two ocean view rooms however one ocean view and one ocean front room. At the first of two hotels we stayed at our travel companions were four floors away from us, same floor would have been nice. Our friends traveling with us never received the customary lei upon arrival to Hawaii. A snorkel tour I specifically requested six months prior to travel date was unable to be arranged due to no availability (I think the attempted reservation was made late/close to travel date versus months ago). I did not know Hawaii Tours was out of business and Go Hawaii had taken over until in Hawaii and receiving info from excursions that I had booked through Go Hawaii and I googled both companies. This would have been helpful to know. We were just told "under new management." Many tours asked me who I booked through and it was very confusing when I said Hawaii Tours and they didn't have that name. Our itinerary indicated one day car rental throuh Alamo. Alamo stated it was through Enterprise and had difficulty accessing the reservation which delayed us about 45 minutes. Informed I would be reimbursed for a taxi ride and a rained out excursion...this has not occurred yet.

So very sorry there were issues. I am not sure if you were told but Pearl Harbor Activities recently bought HawaiiTours.com on Dec. 18th, 2025. You booked your vacation package prior to the sale. We had a transition period during the changeover, during which time we discovered the former owners Hawaii Tours LLC (a completely separate entity) had covered some, but not all, of the bookings people made and oftentimes they did not notify us of the bookings that they did not honor. This could be the explanation as to why you had difficulties.
Regardless, I am forwarding this to a supervisor immediately. We will be in touch! Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Mahalo nui loa for taking the time to let us know!

And it's pretty late in the season, so that makes it even more miraculous that you had such an engaging experience. Usually most of the whales and calves have started their migration back up to the colder waters by now.

Our deepest apologies for any issues, stress or inconvenience you may have experienced. HawaiiTours.com was sold to Pearl Harbor Activities (completely new owners / management) on Dec. 18th, 2025. Unfortunately, the former owners, Hawaii Tours LLC (a separate entity), was supposed to honor all bookings made before the sale date. Sadly they have honored some, but not all, of the bookings made prior to the sale date. They were also supposed to let their clients know that they were closing down.
We did not own the company at the time of your booking, therefore we did not take the booking or the credit card info, so we can not process a refund. We would suggest that you contact your credit card company for further assistance.
We know this is not ideal, but our hands are tied because we didn't take your money or reservations. Being in the travel industry for over 2 decades, we know it takes extra time, planning, travel and money to vacation in Hawaii, so we hope you are able to resolve the matter quickly. Our tour guides were awesome. Fun and easy going. Did great in the pouring rain. We had a blast!!! It was beautiful UTV ride. Definitely recommend to anyone. My favorite part of my trip to Hawaii.
