Start to get suspicious when the payment was on a USA bank, customers service always ready to reply to email even when I start to question more about payments and “base in Melbourne “ shop
Pants are not even close to the picture in the web site!

I feel completely stupid for not reading these reviews before buying- but Murray & Hayes is a complete scam operation purporting to be a 'Melbourne' based organisation with a very nice couple photo of James and Elenore Murray .

Terrible quality and nothing like the website, they are basically scammers. Don’t buy from them. Chinese scammers pretending to be a Melbourne, Australian based family company.

Murray and Hayes is a scam. Clothes took weeks to arrive. Charged international fee for “Melbourne” brand. Clothing is of poor quality and nothing like shown on website. There is no label tag, material is shoddy and poorly manufactured. Do not buy from Murray and Hayes

A bunch of China-based scammers. Clever graphics and a 'story' about how they began their business. They also masquerade as "Murray and Hayes" of Melbourne and probably a whole bunch of other 'online shops'. Fake AI generated webpage. The trousers I bought look nothing like the description. Ugly shoddy and cheap. Into the bin they go. Lesson learned. Have reported their ad to Facebook but to no avail.

Absolutely appalling customer service. After returning an item at my own expense for a refund, on the 12th July 2025, it has arrived back with me on 19th February 2026. I have heard nothing from the customer service team since 16th September.
Their website states: We stand by our products and want you to love them! If you're not completely satisfied, contact us within 30 days for a hassle-free return or exchange. Your satisfaction comes first!
Their actions don't prove this to be true.

It took a couple of months to get these shoes, which apparently took the slow boat from China. There are business card included in the bag is two pieces of blue paper glued together and barely legible. The shoes are incredibly cheaply made small compared to what it should be. I opened one pair of these shoes. I don’t think it’s even leather. The zipper is already trying to break. I know they’re trying to mimic MizMooz but they failed. I have a seven-year-old pair of similar shoes in good condition that I bought from superladystar which is China based and 1000% better quality. These shoes won’t last two months.

Appalling. This company trades on fake adverts and misleading information. Its web site indicates the company to be based in Manchester when in fact it is based in China. The goods are cheap, shoddy and in no way match the adverts. If you fall for their lies and then need to return your purchases (and you most definitely will) you have to pay cost to China which is well over £20. However even if you do this (and waste even more money) you will never receive any refund, just apologies from “customer service“ saying they will look into it. 6 months later and still waiting!!!!!

Update to my earlier review: I asked for a refund and went through the absurd, tiresome process of emailing them (which they insist you do if you want your money back), packing the clothes and sending them back to China, with a tracking number - at large expense. No refund appeared. I emailed them again, after some weeks. I was told my refund had been authorised and would be with me in "Two to ten working days."
This was an outright lie. No refund has appeared and it's now clear it never will.
I don't understand how this company's operations can even be legal.

Should be zero star ! the blouse was way too big ( i orderered small and its enormous ). No easy refund mechanism- think it comes from China... so you are stuck: after a battle they agreed to cash back of 40% .

I echo what everyone else has been through. THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM! Why? I bought a jacket, it is terrible. I tried to return and got offer a discount, I said "no", offer another discount, I said "NO" I want to refund. And got this as a return address......

THIS IS CLEARLY A SCAM. So, if I send back the jacket two things happen, I lose my original payment, PAY to return the jacket and I am out ALL of my money!

Sent a child sized jacket that was marketed as a Men’s jacket and offered a 20% refund in return. But I could keep the “jacket”. Should have checked here first, don’t buy from this online retailer.

Absolutely disgusted with this company as other reviews have said it’s looks like a UK based company and only when you go to do a return of the poor quality clothes do you realise they have to be returned to China. The Post Office tracker ( which was expensive) says the goods have arrived in China and 7 weeks later I still don’t have a refund despite several strong emails and lots of apologies from them but no action.

Be warned - do not purchase form this company.It is based in China and not the UK as implied in advertising. After returning poor quality goods which were not at all ad advertised and very poor quality I am still waiting for a response. The return was at my own cost and the tracked return which was sent in accordance with all the detailed instructions, after many weeks was returned to me.

Poor quality product, not as advertised; refund policy not practical (you return it at your own cost to an address in China; was instead offered a partial refund but did not receive this although they claim they processed it!!
Do not waste your money and buy from this company

This company is advertising with a UK website but they are China based. The clothes are poor quality and the ‘hassle free’ returns is a joke. The clothes have to be returned to China at the customers expense. This is expensive and takes weeks. I was told to use a false value on the customs form which I didn’t as it’s dishonest, but they suggested
that! Then I had to fight for weeks to get a refund not a credit note. Overall a shocking experience and I would recommend not buying from them.

It can improve by adhering to its return process. All returns have to go to China at customer's expense. ALternative, when you wish to make a return, is offer of a partial refund through cash and credit note but NOT a full refund. I sent parcel to China as directed on website to an address in Ningbo. Cost me £30. Today the parcel has been returned to me marked as reason for return being that it was refused at the address and also that no one at address would claim it. Several other reasons it should be shut down too.

This company reports to be based in Manchester. It is not registered with companies house and is actually in China. I purchased items from them which id not fit were poor quality had no manufacture marks, size, washing instructions. In fact nothing. When I tried to return was told that I would have to snd them to China.
